These people are very rude and ask extremely invasive questions.  I am not about to give them information, because if USAA wants that information, they can call me and ask.  It is not smart to deal with these outisde company and it surprises me that a company with USAA's ethics and principles would resort to hiring an outside company of this calibur.

Caller identified himself as with USAA but eventually as with Marshall & Swift or Smith. I DEFINITELY advise against answering their call or questionnare. I appreciate USAA as an insurer, but M&S is sleazy IMHO. I previously answered their phone call and got a rate increase. OK, maybe I was stupid to allow their employee to visit, supposedly in connection with the "USAA-required" survey. He took pictures of the house's inside, but when I got the supposed insurance survey results, omitted the smoke detectors which I took pains to show them though he seemed more interested in non-insurance factors about me and the neighborhood. I also then I got calls from M&S's "partner" realtors though I said I wasn't selling the house. Yes, this is the spring homebuying/homeselling season! I have told them before never to call me again, but they have, including today. Beware!

Looks like USAA just wants to make sure you are insured adequately so you get what you need if anything happens. I was able to this over the phone a couple of years ago. Now then send a questionnaire and these people were following up to see if we were going to return the questionnaire. Not a big deal.

They called on 3/7 at 2:26PM (CST) and again tonight 3/11/13 at 8:22PM (CST).
Caller ID said USAA / MSB, which we do have USAA insurance.

We missed the first call on 3/7 and I think our answering machine was full, so no ability for them to leave a message. But tonight we were sitting here and the answering machine didn't pick up, but then we have a crappy half dead cordless phone / answering machine combo so that might be a technical difficulty on our end.

The previous poster's comment might be on target, but then, our premiums are due / changed in Feb & Aug, so would seem a little after the fact for that in our case?

USAA Insurance contractor. Has called me three times this month ever after being told the first time not to call back.  They want me to "update" the record of my house construction (although nothing has changed). Probably so they can 'recalculate' my premium... Harassing!
