these people have been calling my fax line for months.  Of course I don't answer it....you would think they would give up...I don't have medical bills so am not sure...but it is very annoying.  I am also on the donotcall list...I don't think that thing works.....

I have been contacted by bill collectors in the past but never anything as pathetic as this company. They call at 8am this morning, my son answers because I am IN BED FFS and they tell him to wake me. I grabbed the phone and told em to **** off and hung up, I am sure they will have time to talk to me when I am awake later when they call here another 10 times today.

Next time they call do what I do to these half wit morons...tell em the person they ask for has PASSED AWAY!

Not a good idea, most of these calls or recorded.  If I was the agent I would be calling the police and possibly suing you for sexual harassment.  NOt to mention they have your ss #, dob, address, etc.

Oh yeah, and don't waste the money on an attorney.  Write a simple letter saying please cease and desist calls and send it certified mail.  If they break the law (meaning they contact you other then to 1. notify you that their further efforts are being terminated or 2. contact you to notify uyou of a specific remedy that they intend to invoke) then sue.  Don't forget that not all contact is a violation of a cease and desist (like the two exceptions above) and you can still be sued for your debt if the statute of limitations has not expired.

When you yell at and are rude to someone, are you surprised that they yell back?  How about a class action lawsuit against abusive consumers like you?

They didn't pick your name out of a hat...you must have an unpaid bill.  Now you play games with them and instead of being able to resolve the account with you, they burn your credit and your cscore is runied for seven years.  how nice?  hope you don't need credit any time soon.

That's just stupid.  What exactly is the better business bureau going to do anyways?  Most collection agencies recieve tons of complaints from the BBB, the BBB thus adjusts their ratings, so you will always see "this compoany recieves a high volume of complaints which are all resolved and is normal for their industry type."  Creditors that are trying to collect debts don't care if an agency has a bad rating with the bbb anyways.  Last but not least, why would you report someone to the better business bureau who is doing their job (i.e. trying to collect a debt via telephone)...I would think you would report people that are shady or doing bad business to the bureau, not someone who is simply doing their job and obviously is good at it (they are growing pretty big)

West a**** Management , has us on payments, we never agreed to these high payments, so we send what we can, when we can, and they constantly call us, hound us, we sent a cease and desist, that doesn't work either.

I hate getting medical bills too.  Especially when they bring people from foreign countries over and perform MAJOR and I mean MAJOR surgery on the as a "good will", house them, or their parents for lengthy stays in the U.S. while the rest of us pay up the ying yang for medical  not to mention rising deductables and decreasing coverages.  Ticks me off!  

So if these people W. Assett Management want to ring my phone off the hook, then they can go ahead.  I've paid my dues!

I get calls from them real often. Its over a medical bill that a medical facility mistakenly failed to bill medicare for and turned it over to collections. I told W. A**. Management to have their client simply bill medicare- I was told that if they did that, then W. A**. Managment wouldn't get paid their commission on the collection, that I should pay them and then try and collect from Medicare- I responded that then I wouldn't get the provider discount that their client would get from medicare and that would cost me a lot of money-- for their client to take me to court and we would just let a judge decide. They said it would cost to much, they wanted their money and said they would hound me forever!!!!

 SOLUTION: Send them a certified letter telling them to "cease and desist" all further telephone calls- get an attorney to type and mail it for you if you can afford it. Notify your state's Attorney Generals' Office.

*****And the next time W. A**. Management calls, when they start asking you questions, you start asking them questions of your own- for example, if its a woman-- what kind of panties do you wear, thong or bikini? What color are they? How do you like to have sex? How do you feel about oral sex? If its a man ask those same questions about his wife or mother. They tend to get a little upset and hang up!!!!!

thet are very rude, they won't stop callinf me. i do not owe medical bills, told them that they had wrong number and they said no we don't... asked to stop calling me and they refused...

I know! I won't answer my phone unless I know the number. I hate the "unknown" "private" and and they have a number but leave no message, I mean i would answer but But I want to know first who i am answering to. Does that make sense.  I hate owing medical bills just proves old age is creeping up on us! I'm on the downward slide from now on!!  Thanks for letting me ramble on.

these people have been calling for the past couple days. it's extremely annoying because i'm usually waiting for important phone calls when they call. i never pick up the phone cuz these people don't sound like anyone that i would know or even my family would know for that matter.

I've gotten 6 calls from them today.  Googling showed they are disreputable.  I called them and told them to stop calling me or I was going to report them to the police.  They said "do you know an . ."  I think they said Arnie Shaw.  I said I never heard of him and to leave me alone.  They said "what number are you calling from" I told them they already had that from their caller ID.  She started yelling at me that she did NOT have it (why the weird question about some unknown person -- not even someone I get wrong numbers from--if she didn't have my caller ID????)  Then she screamed at me to give her the number so she could block it.  

Yeah.
Right!  

Even collection companies are more polite than this.

I hung up.

BTW, I'm not behind in ANY payments for anything!

keep getting weird calls for alejandro and kristina... don't know anyone by those names... it's VERY irritating

been receiveing calls from this number for month or so.  No one ever leaves a message.  Husband answered once it was just a recording saying they had an important message.  We have no medical bills that have not been paid if in fact this is a collection agency as stated.  If they cannot leave a message then they shouldn't harrass people.

i received a phone call from these fols today. She ask...is youre name......?  and I ask who was calling. She repeated..Is youre name....? I again ask who was calling? she then yelled...Is youre name.....? I said lady... Im not deaf i heard what you said. She finally said..this is West Asset Management. I said I do not have any accounts with a West Asset Management. She said you do if youre name is....! I repeated myself.. and she said we will be calling back.

I get called by this number two to three times a day 7 days a week. I answered a couple of times and no one was there.

Best bet is to file a complaint with the BBB of Dallas, Texas I believe that is where they are located. If you have the ability to block their number do so. If you do not have the ability to block their number, save it in your phone and when they call, have fun with them. Tell them that you are a homicide detective investigating a homicide at this location and begin to interrogate/grill them about their relationship with you and get them to come clean with the company information or your next call will be to the FBI.

They just called me.  They asked me to verify my name...I said, "can you please verify the nature of the call and what your purpous is"?   She said, "is your name Kevin _. ____________."  I said, "ma'am I appologize I am just not comforyable with this call."  She said can you verify that you live at "____________________" and gave my whole address...then she said, "is your social security number ____________________"  What the heck she sure knows allot about me.  I said, Ma'am would you be so kind and give me a web address so I can look you on the internet?  She responded very rudly, "You can look me up on your credit report, we will be calling you back"  Click...she hung up.

First, I do not know of any bills I am behind on or missed.  If I am...just tell me what it is so that perhaps I can have the opportunity to take care of it.  

I would like to know if anyone actually spoke to them and if it was a legitimate bill they owed...since many of you found out it was a collection agency?

They are collecting on a $25.00 amount I owe to a hospital.  I pay the hospital direct and it makes them angry.  They want the money and I tell them that I owe them nothing.

called at 8:59 pm, and when i called back to ask that they not call that late got a huge attitude and said "well it wasn't quite 9:00 yet."  it was 15 seconds away from 9, and the lady had an extremely inappropriate and unprofessional attitude.  they say that the calls may be recorded? i really hope that this one was because if they heard the way she spoke to me, she would surely be fired.

That makes sense since I do have Medical bills with West Management but how dificult is it to leave a message?!! I wish I could block the number.

I have been constantly getting calls from this number. I don't know who it is or what they want cause they never say. They seem to know who I am, but won't give any of their information. The weirdest thing is that I also get calls from this number with someone speaking spanish. They call early in the morning, late at night and anywhere in between. It's getting quite annoying.

These ppl keep callin me and i told them that i was only 15, they asked me if i knew some1 named Dennis, i have no clue who that is. They told me to have my parents call them back so if any 1 could give me ant information i would greatly apprecite it. thank you

These guys call and ask for someone who I never heard of.  No matter what I tell them, they keep calling back.
