To Zach Fugitt- If you are a legitimate and  PROFESSIONAL company and you are the only "recruiter", I have one question for you. Why is it that you use the words "retarded" and "Bro" in your responses and trying to defend this on HERE? Apparently, you harbor embarrassment for your job and feel like you have to justify the fact that you are a worthless.  I hope you realize that you are worthless and spending time on here trying to justify your useless position of scamming people will get you no where in life. Get a real job and stop preying on people.

I was contacted by The Long Group in Early October about a position with the company.  After initial interviews and applications, I had an interview with Chris McGlamery (Senior Reqruiter at the Long Group).  At the end of the interview I was asked to make a partial payment to a online course.  At first I resisted, because I thought it was scammy.  But after asking some questions, the Senior Recruiter told me that I could get a refund of those funds if I finished the course in seven days (as senior recruiter he should know this information inside out).  When I finished my course in five days and asked for my refund, at first they didn't know how to handle the situation, Chris McGlamery told me he would send the request to Chris Long (CEO), he never mentioned the fact that I did not meet qualifications.  After couple of days, they responded with the excuse that since I did not join the organization, I can't have my refund back (apparently this has never happened at their company, along with a list of other issues that I brought up).  I have sent numerous e-mails and spent well over an hour with other representatives of the organization.  Every representative I have talked to, finds an issue and wants to lay the blame back on me.  Their latest excuse is that I have been unreasonable in my dealings, and have become irate at their representatives.  However, they refuse to deal with the fact that their representatives have lied to me on numerous occasions, and have belittle me as a person.  As I have told the organization, all I want is to wash my hands of you and get my refund back, which I was promised at the time.  Gaining financial information from me under false circumstances is fraud.  This organization should be held liable for this.  The state should carry this investigation to at least learn the truth.  But I should get my refund, and the company should be fined.
Correspondense with:
Chris McGlamery (Senior Recruiter) Interviewer, the one who either lied or misled me into believing that the refund was only based on timeliness of completing the course. As Senior Recruiter, he should have known the limits of the refund.  And Either hid the information or lied to me.

Jessica Young (Recruiter)  E-mail correspondence.

Gary Palmarink  (Direct Manager, Alabama)  Disrespectful manager at The Long Group, his verbal harassment is the reason I decided to end my candidacy.

Joseph Kajy  (Recruiter)  Spoke to him when I could not get a response from anyone at The Long Group. I told him what the problem was.  Kept on cutting me off as I spoke.  Then went on a monologue about how I am being disrespectful.  Finally concluded after his monologue about how I am in the wrong and refused to help me.

None of the people above every admit to their mistake or the fact that their representatives have badly handled the situation.  CEO Chris long, refuses to deal with the situation because of how I have interacted with them.

Jeff Fuggit (Recruiter).  Is the only person in the organization who tried to deal with the situation in a reasonable manner.  Jeff tried to resolve the situation, but I don't know how sincere this was.  He told me that he would contact The License Coach to get the refund.  In exchange he made me promise that I would not file reports with FINRA, BBB or The FTC.  Though he made a good faith effort, he also didn't tell me that this has never been done before or if it was possible.  He then contacted me to tell me since he is not the hiring manager he has no control over it.  He suggested that I contact them and see about the refund, since I was the customer, I would have a better chance of getting a refund.  So I called them, and was told in absolute terms that this refund is not possible.  So the one person who did try to help, sent me down a dead end path.

In conclusion, this organization and it's people are either really inept and should not be allowed to continue their enterprise.  Or it is a multi-layered fraud.

Additionally!!!!

Zach Fuggit posting on this forum.   Are you the same person as Jeff Fuggit who is listed under CONTACT US heading on te Long Group's website?

You think if these guys were actually scamming people, you would see a whole bunch of pissed of people cussing up a storm on this forum. But alas, there is none. Just a bunch of people who don't know what they are talking about, jumping to conclusions.

Yes, Zach showed some attitude but that was blown out of proportion. But if you look back and read, he hasn't posted on here in quite a while. Show that you have some common sense people. This is why we have a s****y president running this country, is because of people like ^ these guys.

I'm going to give these guys a shot and join their team.

If it is a scam I will post on here. If not don't expect to hear back from me.

Btw, if they don't show up on the BBB, it means they haven't had any complaints or anything else filed against them. That is the main reason I'm going to give them a

I don't know the Long Group. What doesn't make sense at all is they supposedly are experts at selling with a proven model, but they have to "recruit" people to pay them $500-3,000 a week to work a few hours a day from home... really? If those jobs were actually as advertised, I could find 100s of highly qualified experienced talented motivated people and have them lined up at their door within a day. Not to mention just the perpetual referrals you should have for jobs that sweet. I certainly wouldn't be cold calling people from monster.com. Zach has to be the absolute worst recruiter in the world. This isn't about hate. I don't know jack about Zach nor could I care less. This is about pointing out the obvious.

No doubt, some retard will have an excuse for this too.

A different phone number, but sounds like the same scenario.  Voicemail I received from Jessica (@ 904-438-3861 ext.107) sounded professional and the email also, though I thought it looked suspicious.  The link for the video was:  http://thelonggroup.org/region3/  ......Her email address was:  Jessica@thelonggroup.org

Jessica from The Long Group, indicated she'd found my resume on Monster.com and had an employment opportunity.  Did not mention the position title, she was sending me an email and wanted me to view a video regarding the company.  I Google searched The Long Group and found a thread regarding some sort of insurance company scammers here on 800notes...see this link:  http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-904-300-1126
....Later the same day, I rcv'd a local call from another Jessica (sounded like the same girl) who used a similar phrase ("could put me in touch with the hiring manager")but did not mention The Long Group...  I think I will research a little further.  I also need to remove my phone# and email address from my published resumes on CareerBuilder.com and Monster.com.  Too many scammers out there using this info...suggest you do the same.  Lots of insurance companies contacting me (even legit ones) with all the Obamacare issues going on.  They are all gearing up for it, you know!

Call AND email from Nikki at The Long Group.  Did not answer phone as I don't answer calls from unknown numbers.  Sounded like she was in a call center.  Not exactly high pressure but said something along the lines of "we are looking to hire in your area in the next 24 to 48 hours".  Wow... as a financial executive, there's no way I'd accept a position in that sort of time frame.  Per the earlier posts, Zach does need to tone it down a good bit; he's not showing the best face of his employer.  Another post said to check out the BBB; I did and could not find The Long Group anywhere.  Not sure why they don't seem to be listed.  Just not comfortable with this company.

Imagine having a job where you need to convince people your employer is a "reputable company". Did you have to fail a test in "begging the question" to get a job like that?

That tells us all we need to know. Which is that we should have a whistle handy to blast anyone who calls us from this number. Hope it's you. Have a nice day.

Anyone with a half a brain would know to check with the BBB instead of looking on a forum post full of idjits.  I sincerely hope that people will stop unloading their hate on the Long Group. Got a second call today from Jeff asking me to call his private number of 904-875-4791 regarding my résumé. What is so special about my résumé? My job history is in pharmaceuticals as is hospital and retail pharmacy billing and my degree is in public administration. I couldn't sell water to a fish. That is just one skill I don't possess. Guess ill just call Verizon and block both those numbers.

I'm sorry to hear you say that Chris Brown. I liked it when you had issues with Rihanna. Lol, I'm kidding. Chris Brown, you need to incorporate spell check and a little bit of English class to your sentences. I felt like I was reading Ebonics. Especially, if you post on the internet.

Lemme cut straight to the chase. We are always hiring because since 2011, 10,000 people a day will turn 65 because of the baby boomer generation, and will continue to do so for the next 20 years. In that sense, we have too many leads and not enough agents to work them. That, sir, is the reason why we are always hiring.

Secondly, when we hire people, we do our best to work with them, give them the training they need to be able to go out and help our clients. Not everyone has the drive or the motivation to stay on track in a job where you are basically your own boss. That is why some people prefer to work under a manager because they "have" to be micro managed. They want to work a 9-5 job. We offer the opportunity to work at home at your own pace (fast or slow) and be able to make anywhere between $500-3,000 a week. We do not place blame. If people can't sell, we help them. If people don't work hard enough, we give them words of encouragement. But, we would never go around saying someone isn't good enough.

Now onto the "Retarded" issue. Yes, I should have chosen a better word instead of that one. But, It's honestly how I feel. It IS retarded putting 3-4 resumes out on one site alone.

Finally, I'm not going to address how you feel about me or how I go about recruiting. Because honestly, it's below me. I do not go on the internet to attack people, slander ones business, or just plain act like a fool.
I have obviously called and sent you an email (as per how our process goes) and you have obviously found this and want to jump on the hate train. But that is fine and I know now whose email I need to block.

Hope you find a job and hope all goes well.
Sincerely,
Zach Fugitt

Zach, you are by far the worst recruiter i have ever seen in my life.  Utilizing the word "retarded" shows how little you know about the business world.  If I was your H.R. department you would already be fired.  How a company would promote someone like you to recruit for them really shows how incompetent they are.  BTW the reason you are always hiring is because your company is a revolving door or people.  You have to continue to hire because the ones you hire continue to leave.  Now you will blame that on the individuals.  That they were not good enough.  That they couldn't sell.  That they didn't work hard enough.   So either you are horrible at recruiting (again) because you or your recruiters continue to hire anyone and everyone or you just hope the spray and pray mentality will work, meaning hire everyone and hope 1 does good....

I shouldn't respond to this silliness. We have numerous writing agents and selling insurance with us is not a hard sale especially when we are associated with 14 A rated carriers. We have numerous products to offer each to match a persons particular needs. You obviously haven't done your research when looking us and NAA up. Our calling and emailing our resumes is not a big deal, it's a filtration process to filter out people like you and others who are not interested in working for us/NAA. The fact that you didn't respond and are quick to post on here, just means you are looking for a mean to attack someone and their business.I wish you the best of luck in finding a job especially throwing around the word scam at every opportunity.

Zach, I just got a call and an email from a "recruiter" I am not interested in working for a small insurance firm as I know it is a hard sale, I have done sales for a very long time and do not want to be in it. The email and Call seemed very odd, Why would someone need to call me just to let me know they sent an email regarding a position. I have applied at many places and whenever I receive a call it is for either a phone interview, or to come in for an interview. I also am not a big fan of blogging online saying a company is a scam but the site looks horrible, it looks like it is just a front to scam people I have also been in web design and development for about 6 years and your site looks so simple it is not even funny not olny that but what insurance company just has their site talking about them and asking people to sign up for employment almost every insurance company big or small talks about the products they sell and not just worried about getting employees. I would love to see your response to this. Just Astonishing.

This is not a scam half these posts are inaccurate.
My name is Jeffrey Zachary Fugitt. I work for the long group as a recruiter.
We are associated with NAA, parented with 14 A/A+ Isnurance companies such as ING, FNG, Fidelity life, Foresters, Mutual of Omaha, just to name a few. If they don't have a billion net worth NAA won't sign a contract with them. We deal with final expense, Life/Health insurance, and Annuities. I have worked for them going on almost 4 months now. I never call people and hang up. And I always leave a message if the person has their voicemail setup. I'm reading all these post and laughing, because people read others blogs about something they dont even know. Btw If I have called you more than once its because you have more than one resume out there. Putting out more then one resume on one site is retarded. hopefully I have cleared some misunderstandings. We are and insurance company that is always hiring and if you are interested and reading this you obviously have my number.

Have a great day!
