I so understand where you are coming from. I too received this email just this morning and I did not bother replying or calling the that number. I have been contacted by many scammers claiming that I owe them money for something I never had. They have called my work phone, cell phone (before I had my number changed) and they have gotten to one of my managers before. I have had them threatening to serve me at my job and when I tell them to come no one shows up. I am too tired of them contacting me and nothing is being done about this. I relocated to Texas been going on 2 years and they started calling me here. Im tired.

I received the same e-mail 9/22/13. Thi was after answering an ad on Craigslist asking for
your name and e-mail if you were interested in a job that was listed.

I got an E-Mail threatening a law suit due to a payday loan. I have no such loan. These people are harassing me.

An email is not legal proof you owe a debt, only a proper Debt Validation Notice sent via US Mail that complies with all requirements of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  Go here to learn what is required in the notification, what your rights are, what collectors can and cannot do and how you should respond.

I HAVE JUST RECEIVED AN EMAIL INDICATING THAT I OWE THEM THE SAME AMOUNT AS OTHER LETTERS IN THE SYSTEM FOR OTHER COMPANIES. THE IDIOTS REALLY HAVE NO SENSE AND SHOULD PULL UP INFORMATION THAT CAN HELP THEM. I DO LEGAL WORK MYSELF AND KNOW THIS IS NOT A LEGAL VALIDATION OF WHAT THEY ARE CLAIMING.

According to the FDCPA they should be sending you the debt validation letter through regular mail, not email.  And if they then ask for your mailing address, don't give it to them.  If they are legit (doubtful), they'd already have it.

I too received a VERY VAGUE email with many English grammatical errors, containing phone number 904-328-3041.  I DID reply in email format advising they MAY send me via email to the same email address they originally used and it SHALL contain ALL back up documentation form origination for the "mysterious" company they are serving to collect an astronomical amount and fees to show proof of such debt in the first place. I loathe these scam artists. I worked as a licensed police officer for 10 years and have much knowledge on Criminal and Civil law. This is becoming absurd in our country. This number is listed from Florida somewhere. I hope nobody falls for this. ACS Incorp can kiss my A** in Texas.

i just received a email stating the same thing for the exact same amount.  i tried calling the number that was attached to the email and just recieved a voicemail inbox.  No name of a company or person stating who I was calling.

got an email saying I owe 986.45 from ACS INc. Don't know who they are. This is a scam by people who are trying to frighten me into paying on something I didn't borrow.

I got a e mail from them claiming that a lawsuit is going to be filed against me.  They said I owe for a payday loan and they said I would be charged with check fraud and a number of other things.
