Sindy Parker ,or so she says, called wanting to contact a family member.  Said that the company was Barristers, and I commented that Barrister indicates Lawyer, to which she replied Yes that is right and that most people are not aware of this.
As a speculation BCS INC could stand for Barrister Collection Service INC.
I am not sure but this seems to fit.

An african-american woman called , said that I owed some school. I told her I received a confirmation email that this matter was resolved. I offered to forward her the email she said no she did not want it, said that I would be summons to court and I can show it to the judge. I ask her if I could verify they have my correct address and she refused. I asked for a copy of the contract because she said the email I received is invalid. That I am required to respond by certified mail only, she stated this is in the contract. She refused to send me copy of contract. She again stated I would be summons to show up in court. Then call was terminated.

african-american women call leaving message that they're investigating a "very important legal matter" and to call back an 800 number.  And no, I don't owe anyone any money so it's not a legit collection call.  Three calls within the last month.
