I got a call from an Alex Ferguson and wanted me to pay $850.00 toward a pay day loan i never toke out. It was for a company MY Cash Now. Called the company and stated they never heard of me and i do not owe them any money. The number was 0000 or 916-395-0000 his number to call was 904-335-8147. I asked him to send my a letter but never got one.

I have been receiving very harassing phone calls from a man who claims to be working for the Department of Crime and Investigation in Florida. He has a very thick accent and he is accusing me of owing hundreds of dollars to a payday company. He says if he is not paid, I will be served papers by a county employee. He told me the only way to pay was to purchase pre-paid cash cards from Wal-Mart totalling over $1000.00.

man with a heavy accent keeps contacting my work and stating that i took a loan from a company(in which i did not) and if this isnt settled, i will be taken to court. very threatening and very rude. stated his name was Allen Jones from the dept of crime and investigation, ext 1040.

i got that call too! same thing...loan for $500 a year ago from fast cash. i verified with my bank it wasnt true and my bank actually called him, alex fergison (this month) from dept of criminal investigations, while i was on conference, and he actually told my bank rep my account#! he even called my mom, my aunt, me and my husband! Very rude, strong accent! now i have to close my account and open a new one! the police wont do anything! his call back number he gave was 9043358147 ext 1011
cant beleive there isnt anything we can do about this obvious scammer!

I have been getting calls like this since November of last year.  All have heavy accents and claim to be from investigation offices.  PLEASE, be aware that these people are dangerous and have the ammunition and information to RUIN your life.  I havd to change all my banking information.  I had to visit my HR office and inform them of the situation as well as my boss.  I had to sign up for LIFE LOCK who 2 weeks after had activity on my name.  They tried to clean out my bank accounts.  PLEASE DONT FALL for this scam!  I have reported it to local and other authorities who state there is nothing they can do.

I have been getting calls from these people for months now, I have filed harassment charges with the police dept and they are just very persistent! The detective was able to verify that it is a scam by the number. They stopped for a few months, and now they are back at it! It is ridiculous!!!

He kept saying he spoke with my daughter earlier then she said I did not speak with you but Alex...same like the same person to me trying to role play..It's time to exposed these devils and others like them. Please beware.. tell all your friends about whats going on.  .  Neither one was American.

Also, from my reply a few minutes ago.  I finally got that he says he is calling from Jacksonville, Fl.  I wish someone could catch these crooks and put them away.

I got the same call with extension 1011.  I was telling him that it was a scam and asking him all kinds of questions.  He got very irritated at me and said I don't like you or the way you treat me.  I will have the authorities come arrest you by 5 pm Central time.   His name was Kevin Parker, supervisor and Alex Ferguson that initially called.  Neither one was American.  I think everyone could agree that those are two American names.

I just recieved the same call from 904-335-8147. Gentlemen had a very heavy accent, he did have all my private infomation. But when I asked him about the account information (While I was checking to make sure), the las for number that her gave me I did not even have that account at that time. Then he hung up the phone.  I asked him for documents, he stated that he didn't have any.

States he is pressing charges against me for fraud, theft by receiving and worthless checks. Provided company of Cash Net America.  I have never received any funds.  This is totally a scam

Same as all above except the person said that their name was Michael Sinclair.  Everybody should contact the federal trade commision and the FBI.  Try and get as much info from these scammers as possible.

I received a call from foreign gentleman claiming to be, John Smith. He said he was from the criminal investigation agency and company by the name of payday cash hired him to press charges against me if I didn't pay back a loan I was supposed to have received from them through my bank account in Oct. of 2010. I didn't even have bank account at that time but that stated I would go to jail and insisted that I fax them a copy of my state ID and a notarized letter stating that I was willing to pay. I believe this company is fraudulent because every I speak to states that there first name is john, Can you help me verify who they are and stop the harassing calls?

P.S. his Senior Representatives name is Michael Seaver.

for anyone that falls for this your a idiot, i'm sorry i have to say it. lets say u did owe money, how can they come to your job and arrest you. Thats the dumbest thing i ever heard.

I during the course of this week got the same phone call as all of you it scared the Crap out of me it is so very cruel to scare people with the thought of being arrested at work .  These people should be arrested themselves - THANK YOU to all of you who put your voice on line to tell people we are not alone

I got the same phone call at my work from a very thick accent person stating he was Officer Allen Johnson with the Department of Justice and I was being charged with Federal Bank Fraud and Wire Transfer Fraud. If i didn't pay money over the phone today that I would be arrested by local athorities and taken to FL for a Federal Trial. I got his number 904-335-8147 X 1010, and told him i would call right back, when i did i informed him to repeat what he said to me as lucky i  was at work that has call recording options and i was recording the phone call and what he was telling me. This changed his tone and he then said he was just a debt collector and wanted to settle on a debt, when i asked him about the first conversation he said you don't have that recording do you, so then i didn't say anything like that. Can't we report these people for fraud and get them to stop calling our works for things we don't owe!

April 19, 2011 - I received a call from a person with a thick Indian accent who told that he was calling to collect a debt and that the call was being monitored then connected me to his Supervisor, a Michael Sinclair,ho also had a thick Indian accent.  Michael Sinclair then told me that I owed over $1,600 to four different payday loan companies and he was with the State of Florida Department of Criminal Investigations.  He would not disclose information unless I agreed to a settlement of $400 today and the rest over time ( within the next two weeks and so on).  He said that if I did not cooperate with him I would be arrested in the morning either at my residence or at my job.  He also wanted to speak to my companies Human Resources Manager.  He had a lot of my personal information already which concerns me.  I really feel violated and want this person held liable for what he is doing; and all parties that are associated with this activity.  I came very close to falling victim for fear of being arrested.

Same message as other posts.  Was even transfered to a supervisor who told me I only have 2 options:

1.) Pay upright
2.) Battle in court

Got a phone call from this number this morning.  Could hardly understand what he was saying with his strong Indian accent.  Gathered it was a scam trying to get money over the phone.  These people have tried 3 other times and I get pissed and threaten to get the Feds involved and they stop calling for a while.
Left this number and ext 1018.

I got the same call from an unlisted number.  The message he left saied he was from the Department of Criminal Investigation and the amount of legal mess that would happen to me would be devastating.  He threatened many things.  He left this number and the extension number of 1020.
