This EXACT scenario happened to me, and I received a check in the mail.  I will be going to the bank tomorrow to let them handle "Jane".

I have also dealt with this person. I got the check in mail today not thinking, the cops have been called.

She wants to buy my wedding dress on Craigslist with cashiers check then send the remainder of extra money for shipping via moneygram!  Name Jane Cooper away on a job in Florida!  So tired of the scammers!  Thanks for posting !!

Yes she keeps asking me about my wedding dress for sale and saying her name is Brigth. Definatly a scam and after I read all of this I knew it was true!

this person also contacted me about a wedding dress i have for sale on craigslist. She's using the name Brigth and asked if I'd accept a cashier's check. She keeps texting and emailing me for more of my personal information. Definitely a scam!

Experienced this scammer today.  Person claiming to be Jane Cooper wanted to buy my wedding dress which is listed on Craig's List.  She said she was buying it for her "cousin" who is getting married in Australia in two weeks.  RUN don't walk away from this one!!!

I have not been called from a 904-469-8644 phone number but I almost bought a horse trailer claiming it would be "shipped" to me at no expense. The woman's name is claimed to be Jane Cooper.  She would not give me any info about how to contact her other than an email address. The Craigslist post said she was from Allentown PA but then in one of her emails to me she stated she was in Utah (with the trailer).  
This is a scam...beware!!

I have had the same this just happen stating that they have a cousin in Australia. I asked to call to confirm this wasnt a scam and they insisted that they couldnt hear and also when i asked where they lived and they also said they where on a business trip in florida which is b***s*** to me but thank you very much for posting this.

Someone from this number, allegedly a Jane Cooper, contacted me relative to a craigslist sale.  I believe the person was attempting to purchase my item by using a bogus cashier's check, which would exceed the value of the item sold.  The portion of the check that would exceed the value of the item was supposedly a "shipping fee" that I was to remit to their "personal shipper."  I believe the attempt made by this person is a scheme meant to defraud the unwary seller and to get the seller to pay money out of their own pocket for "shipping fees" since the cashier's check would likely be a fraud and in actuality, the seller's own funds would pay the "shipper."  Be leary if dealing with this person/number.
