This number calls our landline several times a day.  We do not answer calls from anyone that we do not know...
Wonder what this is....some sort of scam Im sure!!!

Received call several times as 904-483-3317 (shows Tallahassee on caller ID),904-483-3320, 483-3327, 483-3347 (shows R. Martinez).  We don't answer because we are not home and no message is left.  It is curious the number of calls from these numbers over the past 3 days.  Who is it and why not leave a message.

Most of the folks who call you asking for donations to support the police are frauds.  They keep 60-95% of every donation to cover expenses.

If you want to donate to help your local police find their non-emergency phone number in your local phone book.  Call them and ask them where to send your check.

I didn't catch the number but, I recently spoke with caller who said, he was asking for donations for the Florida Association of State Troopers.  I asked what the money was to be used for (I donate to PAL every year). He asked if I heard of the teddy bear program.  I said I don't know what that is and wanted to know what the money would be used for.  He said it was to help retired troopers and their families.  I said I would look up their charity on the internet and hung up.  A while later I got a call from the same organization, different caller.  Told him I would look them up.  He was insistent.  I asked, "Doesn't the State of Florida provide a pension?"  He said, "Yes."  I told him I would look up the organization and asked him not to call again.

yep you are right.It's the fl. trooprs,but they have a funny way of getting donations when they hang up after two rings and they leave no mess.They don't mind calling late either.

I also got a call from 904-483-3327.  I think this is the second one.  I'd have to check my ID, but I think the first time it only said:  "incoming call."  This time it said:  "Jacksonville."
They never leave a message.  I don't answer it if I don't recognize the call.
Or sometimes, I will answer it and not say anything.  I hit the mute button and just listen.  
When someone is on the other end, I love hearing them say:  "Hello, Hello, is anybody there?"
I reverse things on them.  Eventually, they hang up.

I also got a call from this number. It was the Florida Association of State Police seeking donations for their organization.  Their fund raiser is this time of the year.

I too received a call from this number: 904-483-3327. However my caller ID identified it as a call from Tallahassee, FL but it had a 904 area code which could be from Jacksonville or the St. Augustine area. No message was left and when I called it back there was no answer. It has to be a scam or perhaps they are chacking to see who is there at the times they call. This call came in at 12:30pm. Has anyone reported it to the phone company?

I received a call from this number this morning - 904-483-3327. The caller ID listed it as being from F.A.S.T. (?) I did not answer and they left no message for me either. I'm surprised to come to this site and see so many people experiencing a rash of these peculiar calls from unidentified or strangely indentified callers. What is the purpose of calling and then leaving no message, I wonder? And strange when you call back, no one answers! What's the point of these strange calls? I get lots of these type calls in recent months - not only this number but lots of different numbers.

I too have received a cal from this number as well as the WCS number.  I have no clue who they are or waht they wanted.  Just like you curiosity go the best of me and I decided to call the number but got no answer.

We've rec'd calls from this # and other Tedd. E. Bear #'s (904) 483-3320, 483-3313 and ones with WCS (904) 483-3336 times 2, 483-3357, 483-3341, 483-3340.  All of these have come in just since Sat. 7/21/07, all different times of day and never leave a message.  We don't answer the phones unless you leave a message or we recognize the #.  What's worse is most people would not be suspicious of answering a call from "tedd e bear".  Fortunately for us, Tedd E. Bear calls when we're not home.  It's just annoying and I became suspicious when I realized that both companies' #"s were so numerically close.  Is there anyone out there who knows what can be done to stop them from calling or who they are?
