Despite everyone else claiming it is a recorded message from Pat Boone, my caller ID said FERNANDINA B FL and the number.  I wasn't at home and wouldn't have answered it even if I was, because I never answer any calls from names or numbers I don't recognize as someone I want to talk to.

Being on the National Do Not Call Registry is an absolute waste of time because the politicians exempted themselves and so many other callers from having to comply with it.  Robo-callers don't care at all, because if you try to report them their numbers show up as non existent or they move around to avoid being caught.

The best defense is Caller ID and not answering any calls that you don't know who it is calling.

What good is it to be on a do not call list if the politicians don't have to obay the laws? ( am I suprised my that? NO! ) I work nights at local hospital and sleep during the day, I find their calls very anoying. I have children in school so I don't want to turn my phone off.

You mean the record home foreclosures that resulted from banks' reckless lending to unqualified borrowers to earn HUGE origination $fees, then quickly sold off the bad loans to sucker investors on Wall Street? The banks, with their vast knowledge of home loans, KNEW these borrowers had no chance to refinance to a fixed-rate loan before their 2% teaser ARMs reset, or that these borrowers had any chance of paying their ARMs after they reset, but gave these loans anyway because the banks were planning all along to sell off these dangerous loans to get them off their books before they failed. Many of these reckless loans went into foreclosure which caused the Wall Street crash and our largest recession since the Big Depression. Last time I looked, most bankers are Republican, not Democrat, and you blame this on the "Socialist" in the White House who came into office AFTER this mess was created during the Bush years? The banks also accepted socialist bailout loans from the Gov and did not have the moral fiber to reject bailout money. Without socialist bailout money, our financial system would have crashed, so says Republican Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke and Republican then-Treasury-Secretary Henry Paulson. Our socialist firemen and policemen in NYC are helping Sandy victims at this very moment. Not leaving fallen comrades on the battlefield is socialist behavior. Our socialist military risked lives to rescue Jessica Lynch in Iraq. A capitalist military would have left her to die because it's cheaper to replace her than to rescue her. What is your problem with socialism?

This call I just received was from Pat Boone.  Got one a couple of days ago as well. I didn't bother to listen to what he's selling but I noticed one of the previous call recipients mentioned something abut "Over 60."

Pat Boone only got famous on the backs of more talented black entertainers like Little Richard and Fats Domino.  He recorded their songs and his versions were bigger hits in the 50s because he was white.

Just received a call from "Pat Boone" as was recorded on the answering machine (I don't answer calls from numbers I do not recognize) trying to drum up support for Romney.  Called back & left a message for "Pat" which stated that his call just cost Romney my vote (maybe true, maybe not true).  Hope the "message" they got was quit the "telephone home invasions".  If other Politicians-Un-Knowing-Ethic-S (P.U.K.E.S.) calls, they will get the same call back.  If the masses start badgering them as much as they badger us, they just may figure out that we, the Sheeple, are regaing our 14th Amendment Rights of the United States Constitution.

Got a call from 904-624-1378 at 1:44 P.M. Friday.
They did not leave a message.
I have no idea of whom this might be as I don't know anyone in Florida.

There is a law, or at least thought there was against this un-wanted intrusion.  For a while, that along with the blocker devices put on one's phone line things were nice and quiet.  Sadly, these firms got around the law by saying, I think, that, "it was a mistake, because we did not intend on calling this or whomever else.

So, I guess we need some new laws, but they'd likely come up with some other ploy to annoy.

Got a call at 3:40 this afternoon; no one on the other end.  Aggravating!  I'd like to know who to be mad at.
