Same thing called about lowering credit card rates, knew it was a scam!

Just got a call from this number saying they were from verification for mastercard. wanted to lower my interest rate on my mastercard. ha ha i dont even have a credit card. called the number back and its out of service. dont give any info to these guys they are scammers.

This heavily accented man called me and said he was verifying my Visa/Mastercard account.  I said I don't discuss my credit cards over the phone and he said F You

Got a call from these losers as well. Claimed that they were calling on behalf of Visa and Mastercard headquarters. Told me that since I'm a loyal customer and always make my payments on time that they would lower my interest rate to 5.9%. Somehow they had a ton of information about me so at first I thought they were legit. After I started questioning him and asked to speak with his manager he started to get very pushy on me giving him the rest of my MC info. After about 20 mins on the phone with him I asked for a call back number, hung up, called my MC company, and cancelled my card. How they had my info without me telling them is beyond me. These people are annoying and need to get a job and a LIFE!

Just got a call from 905-222-2123. The guy said he is calling from visa and mastercard headquarter! I asked what about AMAX and he said from them too :)
Anyway, there was a lot of background noise, probably in a mall or something. He siad that I am paying too high a interest rate on my CCs. I hang up.

Just got a call from this number. An Indian male ascent said he was calling for verification. I asked, "what?" I heard noisy background. the call seemed cut off and no responds.

Just another one of the spoofed numbers used by the "card services' scammers. Google my name to learn how to eliminate their calls, while also having some fun.

I got a call about lowering my credit card balance.

Why can't authorities catch and prosecute this guy? Or aren't we paying high enough wages for police?

Just got a call from this number. First hint that something was off was when he asked if I was Mrs. x. I'm married but kept my last name. My bank and credit card company knows what my name is. He did have my correct address. I did not confirm that however I quickly asked him what this was about. His english was very very poor and there was a ton of noise in the background. He said that he was calling from VISA and that he was offering to lower my VISA interest rate for life and wanted to confirm the date on my credit card. I said that I don't confirm anything about any credit cards with strangers over the phone and promptly hung up. He never gave any other company name other than VISA.

I just got that call!  very annoying ,i am French (so i wasnt sure what he said!)but he said that i won a trip but i had to give him info about my credit card.....i screamed at him (it felt good!)and i hung up!   twice in 2 days! it is unacceptable!

He (some Indian guy) called looking for me, couldn't pronounce my name, I said "he's not home" he sounded like he didn't believe me Lol. As I started to hanging up on him he said "Ok tell him we cancel credit card" WTF.

Just had a call from this #(905)222-2123,saying they wanted to lower the interest rate on my Visa.(I don`t have one) This missy said she had my file in front of her,I said i dont think so !
I asked her name she told me Karen,so i asked her to stay on the line and told her i was going to call my bank just to make sure it wasn`t a scam,but she hung up.If this number calls you ,Please dont answer these peole are rip off  artists.

I've been getting calls from this number during the work day & thankfully screen my calls.. assuming this was a telemarketer or a survey company or a scam I don't answer. I received another today and thought perhaps I should look it up. Seeing the other messages posted here I am glad I did.

Am in Toronto. Called today around noon. Caller ID said unknown. Disconnected after 3 rings  - sure sign of a robo call.

This fraud has been going on for years, using faked phone numbers from all over Canada and the US, though usually call is actually from foreign call centre.

got a  call from 9052222123 it shows up as unknown but the number is bogus so what I do is answer and start hitting the # key until they hung up they/it called back once and got the same treatment from me I ve used this before and it seems to stop the calls so  give it a shot

Phoned. But I did not answer. They hung up before my answering machine kicked in. Unknown name on display.

Received this call from 1-905222-2123 .Speaking urdu/hindi and asking to talk my family.When I enquired his details he disconnected line.

had a call from this number saying they can lower my interest rate on my visa card, said from their records i have not missed a payment in the past 6 months, really i thought. and that if i gave him my secruity number on my card he can start the process straight away. i made some lie i couldnt find my card so to call me back later as im abit busy, he said of course he can call later today, he then asked what the balance owed on my card was, again i gave him a random number but if he had my records he would already know this right??  its a scam and someone needs to make sure this number is reported so some inocent person doesnot get miss lead by this horrible people.

I received a call from 1-905-222-2123 this morning.  Asian accented man(East indian) said he was from visa and wanted to lower my interest rate.  i asked him to tell me what bank I deal with and if he couldnt answer that question than he needs to F-Off and I hung up.  he calls back 2 more times i did not answer it. he calls back a third time so i decided to answer it to give him another piece of my mind.  I asked him again to tell me what bank i deal with and naturally says the wrong one so I chewed him a new a****ole again.... he proceeds to talk to me with sexually explicit details as to what he wants to do to me!!  I called him a sick #@*% and told him the call was being recorded and hung up.  I pressed *57 to have it traced through our service provider and called police to report it.  Also *60 to add the number to the rejection list and added my number to the national do not call website.

I just got a call from this number (905-222-2123)
He said " I am calling from VISA/Mastercard Company. Our records show that you always make your payment on time so, you're a good customer.  We want to offer 5.9% for life."
Heavily accented English, could barely understand him, Indian accent.  After I said no thanks and hung up, the 'supervisor' called back. He spoke in better English but still Indian accented. He called back again, at which time I just picked up then hung up the receiver.
Obviously scammers, don't give them any information, always ask for a number to call them back.

Just received this phone call.  The guy told me he was calling from VISA. I told him to remove my number from his calling list and he said he wanted me to give him a kiss.  I told him he could kiss my a%% and I hung up.  He continued to call me back (3 or 4 times) telling me about all the obscene things he wanted to do to me.  I have a call into to Visa...waiting to hear back.

Just received a call from same number offering to lower my interest rate to 6.5 for life. I was suspicious so said I wasn't interested as I never pay interest on my credit card. He asked if I had any other credit cards. I said no & he hung up. Googled & found these comments. Why haven't these scammers been shut down already?!!

yep got a call from these scammers they told me after reviwing my credit file the theyhad infront of them they noticed that i had a great payment history and since ive been with mastercard.I replied after listening carefully i told him you now whats funny is you dont have no credit file infront of you and also told him i dont have a master card and also i have no credit cards or credit as i went bankrupt  2 yearsw ago them he said ooooopps must have made a mistake and hung up quickly dont trust them this is a scom and have heard about these idiots for a while now

I was told that my credit was good and that my MC payments were up to date. I don't have a Master Card..I really should have strung them along, but why bother.

CALLED THIS AFTERNOON AND LEFT A MESSAGE, ASIAN VOICE WAS HARD TO UNDERSTAND BUT DEFINETLY CONTAINED FOUL LANGUAGE, WHO ARE THESE JOKERS AND WHY DO THEY CALL IF MY NUMBER IS ON DO NOT CALL LIST?

I just got the same call. Their call back number is 1-877-447-2607. The guy said his name was Peter John. Imagine that. An Indian with an English name. His wAnted to give me 5.9% interest for life. Then it went down to 0.9%. Imagine that again. I filed a report with the RCMP.

Silence. He hung up. This upsets me and I know he was lying about
