Now these people are internet. Yesterday, I  went on the site Unbux.com and in suddenly: Bang! I was the 4th of july winner of 3000 usd travell fee. I just stared at first, but as there seem to be a phonenumber to Helsinki direction. Yes, by the way, Iam from Finland. I dared to call. Soon afterwards, I understood that was along distant call.A woman, name Sharon Hall and a man, Eric Hall, both did speak to me.
At the very first beginnig, I already was thinking this must be a very fishy thing going on. But I stayed and listened. Gave them a wrong cellularnumber, name too, just in case. Thought, I can always tell them the right ones, if that is an honest case. Soon, there came fees 898 usd and something else too 30 usd for the accomodation. Or somethin? I waited until he asked has the creditcard the same name. I knew, the next question has to be about the number. So, I just gave him the answer. I check that out. Then I closed the cellular. I mean, if this has been going on for many years. How come no one, not even the law, has put the end for it? Rasmus, if you see this note, or someone else. Here's my e-mail. This number has been calling my cell phone up to 6 times a day, every day for the last two weeks.  I don't answer because I don't know the number.  There is no message left on my voicemail.  Last night I tried to cll it back just to see who it is calling me and the message I got was "Southern Bay Resorts, all calls are monitored for quality assurance.  Please hold for the next available representative."  I held for about 1 minute and hung up.  Who are they?  Why are the calling me?

I answer and spoke with very nasty person who swore at me.  They continue to call two or three times a day.

i get a call everyday from this number for the last two weeks.

I don't know who this is everytime I answer they hang up.

Calls mutiple times daily with no one on the other end.  When I don't answer they don't leave a message either.

I star reciving phone call from his number 2 days ago, non stop.  Who are they, And what can we do?, When i call back it's a telemarketing resort, or something like it.

They have called twice today and once yesterday. I wont answer it. My daughter answered a call like this once, and got a big phone bill.

Same thing for me.  Phone rings, no one is there.  No message left if I let it ring.

I also paid $898.00 through my credit card. I have a confirmation letter from them acknowledging receipt of my payment. However, now that I wish to send them a message via email, the message cannot be sent as the website field is not recognised. Is there any way I can get help?

Got the same pitch But luckily i had no money in my debit credit card and bank advised me to cancel it. i was gutted to find this was a scam cos I was excited for the holiday..oh well live and learn!

I got caught by the flashing message in 1998. Yes, I took the trip to Florida and the Bahamas. It was an OK trip. The thing that bothered me was the high pressure sales at the Orlando office. I was there 4 hours. I attempted to leave at one point and was literally blocked from the door. I actually had to go back to the sales table and was harassed into purchasing a "club" membership for which I have been paying the last 24 months. It was the only way I could get out of there. My worry is that Summer Bay Resorts will not stop taking money from my account now that the contrat is complete.
As for the vacation, I rubber stamp PG's comments. Rooms were good in some places and just OK in others. Summer Bay Resorts is not a scam, it is for real but no business should operate with this high pressure and harassing tactics. I say, yes, avoid SBR. If you want to take a vacation, make the arrangements through a local agency and pay full price. There are many hidden charges at SBR  like registration fees, taxes, cleaning fees at the hotels.

I got scamed  by summer bay  gave my account no  beacus he wanted  veryfie my adress but he took 500  out my account  i said u cant do that without  my permission but he said u got a great deal  .so i called my bank canceled my  card  they said  they will try getting my money back  SO PLEASE  DONT DEAL WITH THESE IDIOTS  AND DONT GIVE UR DETAILS AWAY

We did the Fort Lauderdale (Weston) resort and it was wonderful we went when it was cold at home last January and we called home and teased everyone about the pools there was so many we did not know which one to get into first.  We got lost alot because the area was so big, but really worth the trip
we are going to do the Daytona next time

Orlando isnt a scam it is a very nice resort my wife and I stayed there! They also gave us 2 tickets 2 disneyland that never expire. we never left the resort! Its huge. So we didn't use the disney tickets but we will next time. the only time we left was to go out to eat for dinner.Don't be dismayed by all these nay sayers. Uneducated people who fail to realize or read the small print. Always make sure you know 100 percent what your getting into before you actually do! Nothing in life is free. But with summerbay my family and I can have a lovely vacation at a discounted price!

so you really got to go on to florida and visit what they said you would get to do.  But there are so many people out there that were lied to and wanted their money back.  I paid for all my hotels for Orlando, Daytona, and Fort Laterdale, but it says that I'm not confirm my rooms yet.  I'm kinda sacre if it's a scam.

I received a call from a different number but they gave me two vacations
one to Hilton Head and the other to Orlando.  We took the Hilton Head vacation last month and it was great, very beautiful area.  I am conserned about the Orlando vacation which I found out this morning is through My Summer Bay.  Upon reading the fine print the stipulations concerned me.  I have been on the phone all morning trying to get answers to all of my questions.  So far they have answered them. Still scared since I will be driving 16 hours to Florida with four children.  Both vacations cost me around $450 and they have already been paid for since January.  I pray all goes well.  Sorry for those who have had horrible experiences.  Maybe I will be able to let you know mine wasn't after we return form Orlando.  I do not think I will be taking any more phone solicitor calls anymore. I have found that the people who sell these vacations are not affiliated with the resorts they are selling and in order to make money they will do and say anything to make a deal.  Wish me luck!!

i also was a grand prize winner of $3000.00 And the lady wanted my credit card info,I told her i didn't have a card and then she asked if i had a bankcard that had $498.00. I said i only had $100.00 she said that was fine too.She asked if my husband had a credit card? i said yes but i could not use it! She said that was okay! she asked how much was available? i told her not enough! she said that was fine. she wanted me to give her the card number and expirery date,that she would contact the creditcard company and take out what she could for our vacation! i told her if could give me her number i would call her after i talked with my husband first, she said no she needed it now or she had to give it to someone else! so i said fine with me! And she hung up on me.

i was also recieving a message that i won the price of 3000dollers for atrip across the atlantic to florida.i phoned them immediately i there were any hints i should now about, and correcktly mysummerbay wanted me to pay 899 dollar-fee for the price.they very interrested in where i lived, my phone number, if i were married, had children and how often i have been on vacation. I answered correctly that i live alone and are unenployed. Then they asked me for my card number and i get suspicios. I told them trustworthly that i am mostly broke. they told me that it was enough for me to pay 125 dollar and the rest later.but i gave them not my credite car number. after the conversation i looked on their webbplace and then i fall in this site.that was lucky for me. now i will immediately change my home number, it is rather easy in sweden. is´nt it so in usa?
i have also a mobil and i gave never that number. almost all my imported incomming calls commes that way.

I purchased a package from another company in 2003. I have never used it, Summer Bay called me to see if I wanted to use the package. After much thought I decided to use the package. I have booked train reservations for October and am looking forward to the trip. I am not expecting the greatest accommidations, but I do look forward to a bit of a "get away".  I intend to check on the reservations before going. If someone out there assumes a hoax, check with the BBB.  If you paid for a package you no longer want, well stop letting yourself get caught. You are the victim of pressurized sales pitches. "Let the buyer beware."  By the way folks, learn the English language. There are many grammar errors. Yes. it does matter.  And no, I am not employed by Summer Bay Resorts.

i just spent an hour on phone with them and also got coned into making a payment,but then had second thoughts and did some reseach and found all you unhappy people and canelled my card,thank god that i did,but god only knows what my phone bill will be bout $800.lol i feel so silly will never fall for something like that again.AM ALSO GOING TO CHANGE phone number.Good luck to anyone whohas booked and goes hope it is for real.
