I got a call from 905-258-2834, the caller refused to identify themselves or what they were calling for...just starting demanding personal information regarding a resolved past due payment, was able to provide reference numbers etc. We called the only place that could have sent anything to collections and was told our information had been sent to a creditor in error then retracted and they would contact the agency and make sure we did not get another call. The NEXT DAY we got another call .The caller was very accusatory and rude several times saying I was trying to "pull a fast one" whatever that is supposed to mean. EXTREMELY rude, very condescending . My husband called him back directly and had to hang-up on him due to the attitude on the other end, called the main line and filed a complaint and told them to never call or contact us again, then called Telus and BLOCKED the number.
From what I have read elsewhere they are a third party collection agency and are bottom feeders who buy debts for pennies on the dollar and then try and collect this debt that has been written off by the original creditor.  They will make you assume they are the collection agency for the original creditor--- they are in fact NOT.  If they contact you via mail or phone, request they send you validation of the debt. DO not ever affirm the debt with them. Never acknowledge the debt make them prove it to you.

The same a***oles called me at EIGHT AM this morning. Claimed they were with CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce! The problem is, the last time I dealt with CIBC at all was over THIRTY YEARS ago and it was just a basic savings account that I closed LONG AGO. I don't believe these a***oles are legit at all.

Easy answer.. Next time these crooks call, answer the phone and firmly state "do not call this number again, all further correspondence regarding any current or future issues may only be addressed via written mail."  You are free to smile as you hang up on these clowns.   Should they persist, and call again, answer the call with a polite "This call will be recorded and by continuing any further with it conveys your consent to this", then repeat the do not call again warning, with the addition that harrassment complaints will be filed with the authorities.

Chances are, since you are dealing with imbeciles (they just don't know when to shut their mouths), you will now have plenty of recorded evidence supporting harrassment charges against the calling individual AND company.  Relax and smile all the way to the local police station.

Got a message from this number from a BJ. Yesterday he called and used entrapment to talk to my husband saying he was looking for a dog walker. I am not impressed by the unprofessional nature of that. This morning we had a message saying that he was going to persue legal action, and dropped the name of my husbands brother saying that if my husband didn't call BJ back, he would contact the brother.  Very annoyed that he tried entrapment and threatening family!

I just activated a new phone and very next day this number called it. Not sure how they even got this number or who they were looking for. I let it go to voice mail.

My Caller ID said Unknown Caller, so I picked up, the caller asked me to confirm my name and birthday and told me to not hang up. I have no idea who this guy is and I do not know what Global Credit is, I refused to confirm any info and tried to find out what was going on. He asked if I talked to a guy named Mohammad and I said no.... getting frustrated and suspecting a scam I hung up, because I don't have any credit issues and even if I did, I deal with the bank.
The person called back and left a message on my machine saying "I dunno why you hung up but this is Global Credit" and some stuff that I could not pick out.

They sound very intimidating and I have NO idea why they would call.

I consistantly receive calls on my cellular phone from this phone number no message usually the same time everyday.

These people will not give you a straight answer of who they are...I called and they started asking a bunch of questions and refused to identify themselves.

905-258-2802 this number keeps calling and calling and calling three weeks straight so far , they won't say who they're are or why they're calling , they just leave me a 1800 number.

I also keep receiving multiple calls from 904 258-2802.  They leave messages saying to call back regarding my file.... this is a bunch of crock.  They do not reply.

Today, I pressed 0 during their automated v/m.  The reply is from an other registered voice mail indicating there is no one to take the call at this time.

To date I have been able to identity them as GLOBAL CREDIT.

We received a call from this number earlier this afternoon - we live in rural Nova Scotia, Canada. The recorded message was vaguely threatening.

Got a call today from 905-258-2802, the message they left did not say who they were or who they were calling for.  Claimed a recent attempt to contact us went unanswered and that we needed to call 877-234-2884 to discuss our file.  Claimed could not give more information over the phone due to privacy act.  From doing a search today found out this seems to be Global Credit.  My understanding if it is a legitimate call they would say who they are and who they are calling, they just can't give out the private information such as why they are calling.  Funny thing is they refered to needed to speak to us(non specific) about our file.  We do not have any outstanding debts with the exception of the house and car and have never missed a payment which is why our credit rating is so high with our bank, so it appears someone has given them the wrong phone number or they are scammers. I suggest if this is legit they mail the person they are looking for with whatever information and hope that person has not given them a phoney address as well.  I refuse to call any number with which I personally do not have business with in case of scamming, nor do I answer calls with numbers I do not recogonize.  You can not be to careful these days with scammers.

Global Credit - you keep calling my number, in reference to an outstanding matter.  Because of the nature of scammers i will not call back to confirm any information as i would have to give you information first in order for you to know who is calling.  I have no outstanding bills, and pay cash for everything but my house, which is not in arrears, so if this is a legitamite claim from a credit collection agency why don't you just mail (or send registered mail) to the person you are trying to collect from.  Did it ever occur to you that someone has given the wrong phone # for contact with whomever they established credit with, that you are now trying to collect for.  You would think after calling the same phone # for several months, several times a week that if you do not get a call back you should try another method to find the correct party you are trying to reach. This keeps up i will have to give up my current phone number, which I have had for 25 years and pay for an unlisted number - that way the next person who gets my old number will have to deal with a very inefficient procedure.

This is getting rediculous.The calls keep coming and it seems there is no way to stop them.
It seems as though they are listed as a debt collection agency that is not covered by the no call rule.
I think the only way I can stop them is to turn my cell phone off

WOW! What a totally fraudulant business! They keep calling my groundline with their "URGENT" need for me to contact them about some business they have with an unnamed person. I call from my cellphone and by some miracle they have the need to speak to some Gordon or Jason Lightfoot who has given my cellphone as his contact information. How amazing that any number that calls them has someone with whom they have urgent business... or, maybe, they just tell everyone they have urgent business with a "friend" (I have met all my friends, I don't think any have slipped by without knowing their name)to try to get money out of them.

Who ever this is they address me as "You".  Should this be a legitimate call, you would think they would at least know my name.  No I am not calling an 1-877....# to verify that I am "You".  These calls are annoying to say the least but I shall not change my name to "You" to dignify these calls.

I have been getting an automated call from this number for months.  I still do not have a name or company name for this number.  It is getting frustrating as the calls come at all hours and I've had to turn off my phone at night so I can get some sleep, you don't want to have to do this when you've got teenagers.

I wish I could talk to a real person so I can clear this up!

I kept on receiving calls from this number on my cell phone and finally called them back on my landline. Apparently they were looking for Christy, the person who had my number 2 years ago. I told them to take my number off the list and they said they will. Hopefully that will be the end of it.

Well I just logged a complaint with the CRTC and never thought in a million years I'd be a complainer of any kind however these calls have to STOP whoever you are you GLOBAL RETARDS!

i just contacted my sprint cell phone provider..  please contact your providers and they will block this call coming from canada

I recieve mulpitle  calls from this number every day at all hours for weeks at a time. stops for a week or so then it continues on.  Urgent matter nn compliance but they don't reveal WHO they are.
