They have called several times, usually no one is on the other end, today they called and asked if my security system was monitored. Maybe they are a set up for break and enters.
Wendy 2011-06-06 21:06:34 Unknown
They didnt leave a message so i called back and the mailbox was full like mj said.
Andrew 2011-06-06 21:06:34 Unknown
Some guy said hello a couple times after awhile of waiting.. when they called. I call back and the mailbox is full. I think they may be some kind of telemarketing scam thing. Is there a way to report this?
klassic 2011-06-06 21:06:34 Unknown
Like TR said above.
This is why I am here looking up the number.
3yrs ago I had something similar happen and my house was broken into the next day.... call me paranoid.

I work in DSSI's call centre. It is mostly high school students trying to make some money without having to work at McDonalds for minimum wage.
Call 1-877-818-3774 x230 and ask to be taken off the list.

No one there.Tried to call back and it said the mailbox was full

I said "Hello" twice and then got a message "Due to the high number of calls" and then they hung up. Were they just checking to see if someone was home? I find this kind of call unnerving.

This company was real at one point - but they have gone out of business and left all their clients who were being monitored by ADT - with no one - AND THEN one of their own called back saying they were taking over - they had all my information - after looking into it further - they were trying to start up again under a different name and they copied and took some of their old clients files with them. Very spooky -

Hello people. I am the owner of Digital Security Systems Inc and I found this post when searching a few things on Google. I have taken the time to read thru all these posts and I must say... YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF IDIOTS. Just take the calls or don't. Stop wasting your time coming to this stupdi website to talk s*** about my company and the way I do business. I do invite you into my office to come meet me face to face. Maybe even a nice c*** rub while you're at it. since you have the tim. You sons of bi****s.

I disagree with that statement as when I called and requested to be put on the Do Not Call list in September, it wasn't done. And now I am going around in cirlces with my phone company and CRTC to try to get something done about it.
And Riley, I'm glad that you take people off the list, thats what you are supposed to do. I just wish more people would do it. I don't want to know what would happen to me at MY call centre if I was found ignoring a DNC request.
BM 2008-01-24 20:51:30 Unknown
When returning the call - the box was full. Calls placed early January 2008.
riley 2008-01-23 03:25:03 Unknown
i agree most people just don't care. and yes, there is a high turnover rate. I always take people off the list if they request it.
If you phone the 1-877 number, you will be speaking to a supervisor or manager who takes it more seriously.
Heather C 2008-01-23 01:20:26 Unknown
Riley - my problem is, I did that and I still received a call. Regardless of being a teenager working at a call centre, you still have to follow the rules.
I work in a call center as well. The problem with call centres is that people don't take thier jobs seriously, and don't mind breaking what they think is a silly rule. Thats how everyone loses thier jobs though, and my complaint to the CRTS can be followed up by the CRTC by them shutting down the centre within 2 days. obviously i know it takes more than one complaint, however, that is the fact. so tell your friends to take things a little more seriously, or get used to 'do you want fries with that'

PLEASE, EVERYONE THAT IS POSTING HERE. PLEASE GO TO http://www.crtc.gc.ca/eng/welcome.htm AND FILE A COMPLAINT ABOUT THIS COMPANY. DEAD AIR CALLS ARE ILLEGAL. IGNORANCE OF DO NOT CALL REQUESTS ARE ILLEGAL. THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN.
iF YOU GO BACK TO PAGE 2, I POSTED ON SEPTEMBER 17TH AND HAD REQUESTED TO BE PLACED ON DO NOT CALL, AND THEY JUST CALLED ME AGAIN. I HAVE CONTACTED THE CRTC ABOUT THEM, AND EVERYONE ELSE NEEDS TO AS WELL. MULTIPLE CALLS, DEAD AIR CALLS, THEY CAN ALL BE REPORTED. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

answer phone no one there. I have had 8-10 calls from this number in 2 weeks. When I call back it says that mailbox is full and unable to receive messages.
Cranky 2008-01-17 02:06:09 Telemarketer
Have received 5 calls from this number this evening alone since 4:30pm, the latest at 8:30pm with hangups each and every time. This has been going on for over a week now.
Under Bell Canada's "Privacy Issues" this service is clearly violating the "Automatic dialing-announcing devices" statement of regulation.
I will be formally making a complaint to Bell Canada tomorrow morning.

I called the local numer and the girl trnasferred me to a guy named "Waqas" who claimed to be the supervisor in the telemarketing area.
I asked to be removed or I would take further action. They are affiliated with tthe California based firm.
Here is a URL with contact names :)
http://www.dssi.ca/contactus.htm I see a Steven Coates (in charge of sales)listed in Burlington which is close by.... if I was positive it was him I'd start calling him regularly :)

Called today 2:43pm MST. No answer when I picked up. For those who have heard the giggling on the other end, I'm wondering if it's just crank calls that are spoofing the caller id. Don't ever give out personal info on the phone, unless you completely trust the identity of the caller.
