Get your information removed from Experian's database and prevent them from sharing your information and these calls will stop!

I opened up a case against Experian with the Better Business Bureau, had them stopped from sharing my information and not a single call since!

Rachel who makes these calls was just featured in a newspaper article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about "Robocalls top state complaints in '12" by Gitte Laasby (www.jsonline.com). Marjory Wittenberger is expecially irritated by over 40 calls from Rachel, and is featured in the article also.

I just got my umpteenth call from this phishing scam number. I said, "Hello? Hello?" When the person started to talk I belched loudly into the phone and hung up. This is not my usual behavior, but I'm not sorry. Maybe this will stop them.  ;  )

Got a call this morning from this number.  It said Burlington, Ontario, which is in Canada and I ALMOST answered, as I am a Canadian from that area!  I live in the US now.  I was suspicious even so, and after reading this,  I am glad I did not answer.  This is a great site.  Thanx everybody.

I get these calls on a daily basis.  I DO NOT answer any call  where I don't recognize the number or the caller identity has been masked.  I know that the FCC can do nothing to stop them so reporting the call is useless.  Apparently phone service providers also can do nothing.  You can subscribe to a blocking service from your phone provider, but this costs money and is also fairly useless because it's my understanding that you can only block so many numbers and these criminals just keep inventing new numbers to call from until eventually you can no longer block them.  Digitone which is an external blocker which you have to purchase also can only hold memory for a certain quantity of blocked numbers so it too will not prove a permanent solution.  As far as I can tell the only thing which will stop these scumbags is when not one of their calls is answered and they run out of people to fleece.  You must keep in mind that these are criminals and if you blow air horns in their ears or return their curses - they have your telephone number and they can keep calling you as many times of the day or night as they choose.  Air horns, curses, reports to the FCC are not ever going to accomplish anything.  So here is my suggestion:  get caller ID and an answering machine and NEVER answer a call from a number you don't recognize.  If the call is legitimate they will leave a legitimate message.  If all the leave is a phone number and no other identification, DO NOT call them back.  I know that caller ID from your phone company costs extra money and many will not be able to afford it, but telephones with built in answering machines are readily available at a reasonable price.  Get one and simply screen your calls as above.  Remember the only reason these creeps keep up this scam is because once in a while they actually get someone who is uninformed enough or naive enough to give them the information they are asking for.  Considering how lucrative even one credit card number and ID info can be, they'll keep it up forever.  Our only collective chance is when we ALL stop answering these calls.  Sorry for the long lecture - I've never posted before but have been thinking about this for a long time.

I agree!!  We get these calls all the time from different phone numbers.  We don't even own a credit card!!  Next time they call I will get my blowhorn out and show them what being rude is all about!!

My phone company only allows me to block 30 calls at a time and that fills up fast because there are so many of these a-holes out there.  I owe no one so there's no reason why I should be harrassed and the phone companies couldn't care less...believe me I've tried.
We're basically paying the big bucks to be harrassed and there doesn't seem to be a lot we can do about it.  It really sucks.

Called me this afternoon 6/20/2012.  It looked like a spoof number so I did not answer it.  Rang three times.  If I don't know who is calling, I don't answer.

just got a call from them as well, told me they could see that i had over 3k in cc debt and over 10% rate, asked how she knew, said report from experian, asked if i should sue them or experian, and she told me to go to hell

I have been receiving calls from these scum ball for more than 6 years.  DO WHAT I DO!  Have a police whistle near your phone and toot it in their ear when they get on the line.

I just did not answer and they did not leave a message. This was the first time they called.

This is really upsetting - I've been receiving these harassing phone calls for about three months now but today was the second time I've talked to someone.  After asking a few questions, the person on the other end of the phone started to get very crude.  Is there no one to complain to get this taken care of or somehow block this number?  The phone number on my caller ID is 905-333-0000.  There is no company name but when I pressed 9 to speak to an operator, I was transferred to what sounded like a call center.  The person on the other end of the line had an accent and was incredibly rude.  I asked what their company name was and what their phone number was - all I got was Carholder Services and a fake number of 1-800-412-2210.

OMG I have never had a solicitor be so rude to me.. when they called the recording said this was my final notice on a VISA card & to press 7 to speak to a representative, so I push 7 being that I don't have any credit cards so i can tell them they have the wrong # & to remove me from their call registry because they have the wrong person because i don't have any credit cards... He preceded to get very rude with me & told me he wanted my information so they can contact on my VISA.. & when I refused to give him any information about myself he got very angry with me & said he was going to INCREASE the # of calls i will be getting from them... I couldn't believe my ears when he said that so i got a littler angry when he said this to me so I asked to speak to his manager & I also asked what his name was since he was so persistent on getting my name, he said his name was Ken.. I said "Ken I like to speak to a manager or someone else w your company" since he was being so rude to me for no reason at all.. He wouldn't tell me the name of the company he was calling from all he wanted to do was to keep asking for my information.. at this point I'm getting pretty pissed off & offended.. so I say to him "Ken I'm not giving you any of my f****ng information because he has the wrong person & wrong #." I said "Ken please let me speak to your manager since I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY BY THE GOVERNMENT.. So he says to me.. HOLD ON BI*** & HUNG THE PHONE ON ME!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS, I'VE NEVER BEEN SO OFFENDED BY A PHONE SOLICITOR BEFORE... So I call my phone company Comcast & told them the same story. He said I did the right thing not giving them any of my information & when he Googled the number he told me all these horrible things on the internet about this phone number 1-905-333-0000 & said it was most a over sea's scam that they just wanted my information for what ever reason.. So I asked if their was anything I could do to stop the calls & harassment from the people at this # & he said since I'm on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. GOV & I'VE BEEN ON THEIR FOR 30 DAYS NOW TO CALL & REPORT THIS # TO THE FCC.
