Before we jump the gun, the reason you'r receiving these kinds of calls is simple:
1. You have a recycle number( a bad debtor changed their number to probably avoid paying their bills and you got that#)
2. That person their calling for regarding the business matter in their office(unpaid debt): is someone you know, using your number as their contact number in a contract with a service provider or a creditor.(almost always).

I work for Global Credit and Collections as a bailiff, the company is a collections agency, form my understanding everyone here seems to all of a sudden forget what a collections agency do; they collect outstanding debt for companies people(maybe you yourselves) owe. The reason we exist is because of individuals, who sign up for something they can't afford.

I speak to almost 130 person a day trying to clear their debts, because now they need that mortgage, credit extension or car loan and guess what the banks black flag them why because their incapable of reading contracts and paying their bills.
On the other side of the coin they are people who will use a product or service and refuse to pay for it by trying to hide, changing their numbers,screening their calls or having a family member,parent or loved one(gullible individuals) do it for them.

So why hate the system, that helps people fix their lives, by providing them the necessary tools to repay their debts, because you see it there for a reason, its there for you and me.

No answer.

This number is Global Credit and Collections, they called my cell phone and a message came up saying "Trying to reach this number..."  I held for over 25 minutes.

My policy now is, if a company isn't willing to display their name then I don't answer it.

Claims that I have not responded to a matter which will be escalated if I do not return his call within 48 hours.

i get the same messsage ,Kevin says he has a file on his desk and this has to be dealt with within 48 hrs ,?? who the heck are they ???

Get the same msg from that do***e bag Kevin.  I get at LEAST one call a day from them.  I'd Kevin to forcibly insert his business matter up his anus.

It SAYS it's a credit collections company, but that's totally bogus.  I'm going to try reporting it.  Maybe to the BBB.

I get calls from Kevin everyday on my cellphone. Did some checking and it is Global Credit and Collections. Traced their number to 877-305-2079 and called them from my home phone so I could block my number. Still couldn't get hold of a human, just a machine that said to leave my name, address, phone number and reference number and someone would call me back. I DON'T THINK SO!!
So I filed an online complaint with the Ministry of Consumer Services and now we'll see what happens.
I don't owe a cent to anyone so why the hell would a collection agency call me and if they want to talk to me, why don't they?
Damn scam artists.

Keep getting calls from collection agency because someone gave my phone number.  Found out by reverse look up it was Global Credit & Collection Inc, out of Markham, ON.  They use various numbers.  I have told them they have the wrong number, but they keep calling.  
Do I have any legal rights - surely this is harrassment?
Who can I contact to stop this,I have spoken to someone at the company a few days ago and they assured me my number had been removed... yet today I get two more calls... different people, same company.
I can call block this (at my cost) but they use multiple numbers.
Please let me know what I can do, thanks.

I keep getting calls for my boyfriend from LEONA. Saying that its about a matter that has esclated and needs to be addressed within 48hours.  But they and she has been calling me for weeks.
