The first time "Patricia" called me and left a msg i called her back within 24 hours just cause that is what i do....i googled it but did know that we had had one issue that was probably going to collection. Ok so no biggie..was going to advise a fair payment plan and move on with life. Guess that wasnt her idea.  the msg i left her was after hours and i was very detailed in my request - could you please tell me what it is regarding and so forth as i work mon - fri 8 to 4 and was not going to call during work. Today was the last straw - she has since phoned back 3 times to which i have called her back twice. Today after 3 phone calls and then one from another number at 1-866-276-2679 (and a recording) saying to call this number back I contacted the ppl i thought was the credit issue and advised i would no longer be dealing with this company; i would not accept calls from them as Patricia completely fabricated a story today that i had never spoken with her and that she didnt know who i was and then she proceeded to hang up on me.  She is rude, disrespectful and there is no way this company should be allowed to have ppl employed who speak to human beings the way they do.  I emailed the ombudsman on the website as well with a complaint. Disgusting behaviour - obviously her parents never taught her how to be polite

Received call from a very rude woman from this number today, asking for a name that is not me.  I suspected it was a collection agency as the name she was asking for is some shady deadbeat who's been giving out my home phone # (that I've had for 12 years) to various creditors and I guess she's not paying her bills so I've been getting a lot of rude and angry calls and voicemails for her, over the past 2.5 years.  I try to keep track of date I receive such calls, phone #, name of person and company.   When I told his rude nasty woman that there was nobody here by that name but that it wasn't the first time I've received calls for this woman, she just started talking over me.  I was trying to find out what company she was with, trying to explain that I keep track of this info due to ongoing issues with calls for this other woman...and she raised her voice, spoke over me.  A major cow.   I ended up telling here where to go and she was still talking over me.  I then blocked my # and called her # back (not realizing it was her who answered) and asked to speak with a manager or supervisor re: a very rude woman who'd called me from their highly top secret company...and she went off on me again, just told me she would remove my #, got snotty and said she obviously had the wrong number so why did I want to know her company.   Again I tried to  explain why, she got yapping again, I told her off again - then contact Canada Anti-Fraud as I'm sick of these nasty collections calls for people other than myself.   This lady didn't give me her name but she has an accent, like maybe Jamaican?

I received several calls for somebody else from this number.  
When I called back, I found out that it was a collection agency called Global Credit & Collection.  
I found there website ( http://www.globalcollection.net/Consumers.aspx ) and contacted their main number.
They told me that they would remove my phone number from their files, and they did.

I just got my phone number from century link and so far have gotten two phone calls asking for ben gallager. he must have had this number before me. women on phone was rude

Same as above.  Calls let the phone ring 10+ times and leaves messages to call Alex back.  If they are real collectors for real company's.  Then why do they have to play games. Real people who know you dont play phone games.

i just got a call for Alex who works for the same company. He had the wrong first name and address but our family last name was right. I told then that there si notobdy who lives here with that specific first name. He if lived on "a" street and i told him that No, we live in street "z" therefore the address was different too. He there after appologized and told me that he must have gotten the wrong number. Hope i did the right thing.

Patricia called twice this morning asking for Maria Symbuva (sp)??? on May 2, 2008. I'm not sure how she got my number but I'm not Maria, and after reading this post I will not call her back to tell her she has the wrong number.

This number is Global Credit or globalcredit.com. If you search through all the 905-413 numbers, you'll find 8660, 8745,8763,8672 etc., are also all their numbers.  They are the collections for HSBC Bank among others.  Their contact for complaints are Dan Elmalem or Martin Sugar, however, you can only leave a voice mail message, and you'll probably never hear from them.  My problem is the threatening manner and comments they made to me, who is not the person they were asking for.

this "Patricia" refused to give her or name or what office she's calling from - so must be a collection agency - she has threatened legal action, and if I don't pass on a message, she will then search for the person through their social insurance # to find them  -  I suspect if she really could do this, she would have no need to call anymore.   But - lets expose them, and however is hiring them  - This # 1-905-413-8776 is through Bell Canada, Unionville Ontario, although "Patricia" said they were located in Markham.   Here in BC the call was routed through 1-604-589-6742.

Calls and lets the phone ring 25+ times then hangs up and calls back within a minute. This number calls up to 15 times per day. Today this jack*** called my landlord and left a message for me to call "Patricia" back as it was "urgent". Isn't there some kind of law against these people calling your neighbors and landlords looking for you? What the hell is wrong with them writing a letter if they want to speak with you so badly? I just called back and got her voice mail and told her to stop calling my landlord looking for me. Her voice mail didn't give any indication as to what company she worked for...
