Telemarketer
Canadian Tire Roadside Assistance, had a membership with them a few years back. They sent me out a $20 off thing & a 10 dollar gift card if I renewed. They just wanted to know if I received it and was interested. Were not pushy when I said no.

Canadian Tire Auto Club called from this number, we had a plan with them and they called to discuss the renewal. Fully legitimate even though the number came up on call display without identifying who they were by name or company.

bradley,  take note, of names, dates, copy all paperwork, recall conversations, with whom, and do your best to record with once again dates times etc, etc,  always stay cool, dont swear and freak out,  be smart, talking to one A-HOLE, doesnt mean the next guy(,ALWAYS that a-holes' SUPERIOR by the way)  is going to be as anal or un-informed of company policy, yes when criticised people tend to get defensive,  Customer service is a  biggy, & satisfaction go hand in hand when you speak to someone of importance at canadian tire dont put a**le down, Iam sure he (they) didnt mean to cause these problems when doing blah blah to my car , however somewhere along the line something crossed something ie electrical can be very tricky end result is my car now blah blah, so what do suggest is done to retify this situation, obviously iam not going to pay more money to can tire , nor am i going to take this to a corporate level, orbadmouth  your service dept,  i just need my car to be fixed of its NEW problems caused mostly in part from the blah blah, wires crossed ???
you get the picture I have been a can tire cust for many years and have always found the company to be reliable, STANDING BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS AS WELL, QUICKLY rectifying any problems if any over the years blah blah  you get the picture,    read the companys mission statement and such and go from there, also call 1 or 2 other places being a can tire 1 for sure  not next door 2 each other of course dont mention stores names stay vetry vague nyou dont want one calling the other right,   find a nice guy, customer service oriente d management type ask for a few mins to run something by him or her, not trying to get anyone (a**le for instance) in trouble, iam really displeased with the lack of cust service, never in all my years as a loyal can tire customer have i ever experienced something like this, iam at a loss, what is your policy in a situation like this????  you get the picture, if everyone turns out to be complete A**LES, take it calmly to corporate, your local news pAPER  DALE GOLGHAWK IF YOU REALLY DEEM NECESSARY,   BEST OF LUCK    KILL EM WITH KINDNESS, ALWAYS START WITH I HAVE BEEN WITH CAN TIRE FOR YEARS,   RELIABLE PRODUCTS,  GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, ALWAYS HELPFUL
YADA YADA******* BEFORE******* HERE IS MY BI***  TAKE CARE AND DONT BE A PRIK DONT SWEAR, THAT WILL GET YOU NOOOWHERE!!!!

This is Canadian Tire Financial Services. They are extremely crooked and care nothing about their customers. Recently I brought my car in for repairs to have the battery replaced. I got it back and the battery was replaced but now I had no interior lights or sterio, a "service engine soon" light was on, and the car sounded like a pickup truck. They said the weren't responsible, it was just a coincidence, and I would have to pay to have it fixed again. Screw that.

Called very late one night. Introduced herself as a crappy tire rep and offered me renewal on my roadside. I renewed 2 cars months earlier. She claimed to have my file in hand and was adimate I only renewed one of my vehicles. I told her I'd have to search for my receipt and that i'd call her back. I called back and let it ring for 2mins, no answer and no machine. I immediately called crappy tires roadside office and they confirmed both vehicles were insured. Perhaps this # has access to crappy tires database and is collecting necessary information from 'us' that they've yet to attain. All I know is that I found the call to be sketchy, it was very late at night, she stated valid info followed by misleading info, and the rep sounded a lil anxious. Makes me wonder, too many brilliant telephone scams out there to completely dismiss it

Checked my voicemail, it's Canadian Tire financial services.

Can't say whether this is both for credit card applications and/or collections, but I did fill out an application for a card a while back and this is likely related to it.
