The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list  is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

Recieved a call from this number, didn't answer, no message was left. 930pm. Thought it was odd no other call from this number again yety....

Received a call from them today.

Called back -Number doesn't exist.

I've been getting calls from them too. Unfortunately, my do not call list is full.  

Bullying and harassment? I believe there is a law about that.

Have received numerous call from this number and when I answer there is no response.  When I let it go to the answering machine they do no leave a message

they called my house I asked the girl her home number she did not want to give it too me I asked her her last name  and got enough info to find her home number so i decided to call and i got a voice mail sounded like the same voice ...I LEFT A MESSAGE TELLING HER EVERY TIME I GET A CALL I WILL CALL HER SEE HOW SHE LIKED IT AND YOU KNOW WHAT I HAVE NOT GOT A CALL BACK SINCE ...MY FRIEND NEXT DOOR GOT THE SAME CALL I WAS THERE WE TOOK A KIDS TOY THAT MAKES A NASTY NOISE AND BEEP THE HELL OUT OF THAT CALL TOLD HER I WOULD DO THAT EVERY TIME SHE CALLED..NO CALLS HER EATHER SINCE THEN ..LOLOLO

I got a call on Sunday! Told them I would do the survey but I do charge 45 an hour for my time; they asked for the wife, told them she charges 55 an hour...
guess who didn't continue the call.

when you answer the call, just say, "one moment please" and put them on hold!  See how they like it. haha

This number has been calling my house for weeks.  They always call during dinner time.  Take my number off your call list!!

I just had a conversation with a certain "Samira" from this number. She said their location is in Toronto.
She asked me a survey regarding breakfast sandwich, coffee, and some other stuff.
After about 20 minutes of survey, she asked me of my name and address.
She's actually a nice telemarketer.
What do you guys think? Why did she asked for my address and name?

I never answer calls if I don't recognize the number - too many shysters calling with temporary 'phony' phone numbers.  

A note on Unwanted Calls.  Our world is changing. Sadly - The 'Do Not Call' list only works with Legitimate Telemarketers but unfortunately does not apply to: Surveys, Charities and of course, Criminals don't follow any laws. These Criminals have various kinds of ploys.  Some hide behind Surveys and Charities and of course the two big ones are Phony Debt Collectors and Low Interest offers.The only way to avoid these calls is DO NOT EVER RESPOND because if you do respond you will not only continue to be harassed by the same caller but your number will be sold to other 'Harassers' now that they know you are a live Human Being with a real phone number.  Also the Criminals/Shysters only use a number for a short period and then change it to avoid being caught.  Another sad note is that even if you do respond to a legitimate Survey or Charity - you will be placed on a 'Sucker List' and your number will be passed To & Fro for all to exploit you, including the criminals.  I also never respond to any political calls anymore, because I don't want to give any politician the knowledge of my concerns just so He/She can LIE TO ME in the future by telling me 'What I want to hear', because - Honest Politicians already 'know' the Needs and Concerns of The People that He/She is representing.  Again, our world has changed and responding to any of these callers only places us at risk for 'Who knows what?" At this time in history I have not discovered a way to 'AVOID' ALL HARASSMENT and so far the only way to avoid ongoing harassment is -Caller ID- and/or a phone that can 'Block' callers who will not stop.  Some of these phones also have a Programming Feature that will BLOCK Calls which do not have a number like 'Out Of Area' or 'Private Caller" and is well worth the Investment.  We can no longer 'Trust' ANYONE "Who we don't know' that is calling us.

Called tonight at 7:20. No one on other end. Thought it might be someone I was expecting to hear from. Caller display gave # but no name of caller.

I keep getting calls from them and I have told them to stop calling me, but they DON'T LISTEN!!!!!!  STOP CALLING ME!!!

I got a call tonight but they hung up just as I picked up the phone.
My husband has early stage Alzheimer's, & if he picks up the phone I have no idea what he would say or buy if they were selling something.
We're on the No Call list but it obviously doesn't work too well.

Answered the phone and nobody was on the other end... I think it's an automated system so when you say "hello" the second time it queues someone on their end to initiate the call.  They are likely trying to sell something I don't want.  Very annoying!  It's bad enough that they harass, but to make the harassee have to keep saying "hello" until they decide THEY want to talk to you when THEY'VE initiated the call is so rude!

Do NOT phone my home again...

Emailed the president and told them to never call my number again and threatened to report them to the DNC people if they do.  Hope it works.

Well the "Do not call" program is the #$its, don't work. Email the president of Canadian View Point and ask to be removed from their list.
If enough people who have been annoyed by telemarketers start phoning or contacting them with requests they may get the picture.
