Excel Marketing is a scam.  They send a check, have you cash it. Send money through Money Gram. the check is found to be fake.  You're responsible to pay the bank the money you sent through Money Gram.  It's all under a guise of "testing" a company's customer service.

Yes you should report it to your local police. I received the same letter. I knew right off the bat that it was a scam because i didn't apply for a secret shopper position and ANY offer to receive a large amount of money and send it via western union to the sender unless you  know for sure that the money is verified... it is a scam.That is very common around the Canada region. One of my very close friends was unfortunately sucked into it and now she is in debt about 2,000.00. These guys have been trying to get my information or to get me to fall for their stupid obvious scams for the past 3 years!

I was wondering why i was getting a letter from Canada..... My local Police will be getting this letter tomorrow

YES, EXCEL MARKETING WAS TRYING TO GET ME TO CASH THERE FAKE CHECK AND THAN SEND IT BACK TO THEM BY MONEY GRAM. SAME # PNC WAS THE BANK.. NOW AFTER HEREING ABOUT A 3 THAT IS OUTSIDE OF THE US THAT WIKLL CHARGE YOU $2,000 FOR THE PHONE CALL!!! I AM GOING TO CALL MY PHONE COMPANY AND SEE IF THIS IS ONE OF THOSE #'S. THAN MOST LIKLY THE ONLY WAY TO GET THE BILL TAKEN CARE OF IS MAKING A POLICE REPORT..

YES, THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO INVOLVE YOU IN? I WAS TOLD BY THE BANK THAT THEY ARE PRINTING THESE CHECKS SOME HOW THROUGH ONE OF THEIR BRANCHES. SO, SOMEONE ON THE INSIDE OF THE PNC BANKING IS IN ON ALL OF THIS AS WELL...

I CALLED THE BANK PNC BANKING AND AFTER GIVING THEM A THE ACCOUNT # ON THE CHECK I WAS TOLD THIS A FRAUD AND THAT THE ACCOUNT DID NOT HAVE ANY MONEY ON IT!!! NEED TO KNOW ANY ONE WHO CALLED THIS # AND WAS THERE A CHARGE?

I got a same kind of letter...same number given...same amount of check as well...but the company was Excel Marketing INC. WOW!! they were offering me $205 per hour... anyways...should I give to my local police as well?

I got the same letter giving me a check for $4996.00 with a letter explaining what to do next and a list of companies to shop at. I am sure it is too good to be true, so probably it is SCAM. Please advise what to do next.!
