He has an awesome plan for getting out of debt you do yourself. Be strong.

I've been reading all these immature comments. Have you guys ever thought the reason bill collectors get RUDE is because all you low lives are RUDE. Maybe if you paid your account on time, you wouldn't have to deal with bill collectors.

Hey, yeah we know its collection agencies. Sorry we aren't as rich as some that can pay all of their bills all of the time. Life happens, and sometimes things can't get paid. Try walking on the poorer side of life, just because our bills are overdue, does not mean we are dead beats. It does not mean we are low lifes and should be treated that way, it means that we have hit a rough patch and should not be treated like we are the worst scum of the earth. Bill collectors are rude, and often have the wrong information.

Obviously if you are posting on here, you had to have looked up the number which means they called you as well. Oh shocker! Stop getting your kicks out of treating people like crap. Just because you found yourself in the uncomfortable position, does not mean you need to make yourself feel bigger by your commments. Grow up, and stop thinking you are better than everyone else because you have money, it doesn't last forever.

Bill collectors are rude. If any read this, take note, put yourself in our positions of having a lot of bills. Where we make minimum wage, and have maximum demands on our money. Rent, food and the cost of living is so high, most need two jobs and can barely make ends meet. Not all of us have a family that can help, or the way of making these bills right immediately. Try listening to the client, BEFORE yelling and threatening, we understand you have rights, but so do we. Try working with them, rather than scaring them. You might get your money faster, or get it period.

This is a collection agency from Canada.  Their caller ID reads Allstream, but it is a company called RecoverCorp Inc.  They also have the phone number 888-426-7576.

Here is a piece of advise, when dealing with collection agencies!!... If you REALLY want the calls to stop for a few months.. Tell the collection agency that you paid the account directly to the company that it was owed to...From that point it has to be varified so the collection officer will usually post the call over for at least a month..   IF you want the calls to stop FOR GOOD!!!... all you have to do is ask for there address and the reference number of the account.  You send them a letter advising that you ONLY wish to deal with this matter, by way of LETTERS only... Under Canadian collection laws....THEY HAVE TO COMPLY!!!

Ive gotten two calls from a witch named Melissa. It is a collection agency and I dont deny owing the money but when people call me and try to make me feel like a lower life form, it makes me not want to pay. This stupid girl had the nerve to yell at me.. you know what that got her right? *click*

i got a call at 7 30 am this morning...idk why they'd be callin me im 17 have a pay as you go cellphone and i have no bills and i cant get ahold of them..Must Be Some Busy Prank Callers or caller

they call and ask for someone who doesn't exst, and then repeatedly call again and again.........  I like knowing that we can ask that they only contact me by mail... i might try that one and give my new address as my local MP's    then maybe it'll stop.

I think we should have a call back day where everyone that gets a call from them calls at the same time and fill up there mesage centre and phone lines.......  and just talk and talk and talk, and keep doing it all day, until they understand what it feels like.........

Just got a call as well, the guy asked that I call back to discuss my personal accounts, he left a number 1-888-7576, ext 274 acct no. B14091.  I believe this is one of those telephone scams where they ask for your account number to make a deposit and then steal money instead.  Beware

I got a call from the same people, i wasn't around to answer my phone but when i checked the caller id it was a Canadian number(I only found out that it was a Canadian phone number from the internet) and they left no message.  I live in the U.S never lived in Canada so why these damn calls??

Probably the rudest collections person I have ever talked to. She asked about this credit card I had, and I said yeah that was over 4 years ago. And I said that I couldn't pay it all right now. She says so how do you pay your mortgage? (none of her business!!!) I say I don't have a mortgage. She says how do you pay rent? I say I have subsidies that help me pay my rent. I tell her how I was on welfare when I got that card 4 years ago. She goes on to tell me I had no business applying for a card, why did I do that? I say, I was offered 10% off my purchase if I fill out the credit card application and I didn't even think I would qualify for a credit card being on welfare. She said I should never have used the card then. Any ways this went back and forth for a bit, I was getting pretty irate. She was more worried about what I did in the past that she never even got to try to get a payment out of me. I hung up on her as she was saying, I should've acted like a grown up. By that time I just going to ask her how I could make a payment to try to get rid of this debt, but I was so angry I hung up on her! It was probably a scam anyways, she had no information except for a credit card I had 4 years ago. I've been scammed before and transferred about 75 dollars to pay off a delinquent payment, but it never got to the actual company.

That sounds like the same girl I talked to. I hung up on her too. She was sooooo rude, I couldn't believe it. I don't think she even works for a company, I looked the number up and it's residential from Ontario. I said it before and I'll say it again, I have been scammed with a real debt I knew I knew I had and paid it but it wasn't to the right place :(

Do as I do....tell them to f-off and hang up on the losers. They pick these people off the street to do this kind of work. All you need is a grade 3 education, and you can tell, debt collectors are some of the dumbest people on the face of the earth. Unless you owe tens of thousands of dollars....there is absolutely NOTHING, and I repeat, NOTHING....that they can do to you. Debt collectors are scum and need to be treated as such.

Really off the street! .  So let's get this straight their f***ot face..I am an honest person and work for a collection agency and I love it.  I am good at my job, and just to let you know I work very hard and have a great education, probably more than you will ever have.  You are the ones that us collectors are sitting  back and laughing at because you think swering hurts are feelings.  Guess what it makes us laugh and become a stronger person.  You may think we deserve this but we all think how much of a loser you are and how disrespectful you are. I think your parents should be shot for they way they raised you.

Sometimes these collectors are wrong too, and thats why we become RUDE to them. Whatever tho, I got this call today, and i've already filed for bankruptcy with the company thats using the collecting agency on the list of debts. Oh and this is a balance owing from 5 years ago, exactly when I filed for bankruptcy..funny....no its not, annoying harassing calls aren't gonna make ppl polite and not yell.

i received a call from 9058317383 they were looking for my daughter i asked what was about and he said i can't tell you why i am calling . he said there is nothing to worries about  , i asked if it was the police and he said no,the reason i asked if it was the police is because he said ; tell your daughter to call this number and his york region. that was it

The agency is doing there job but the client company may be sending bad data or they buy the file from a 3rd party and the disconnect get even further distorted. I switched to another company and closed an account that company error and wrongly closed the account 3 months later they took money directly from my back account. I called multiple times fax document after document and finally proved it was paid and it took from OCT to JUNE to gt my money back. Now I got a call from this number saying I owe money again. Why do I have to jump through hoops for there errors I said call your client get the documents you need since every question i asked her she did not have the right information THEN you will find it was paid. I do not deal with that company any more for that reason. I also strung out the call as long as possible until she hung up.

If I have a problem I fix it when I am fixing some other companies problem and not getting paid screw that.

I just got a call from (905) 831-7383 and this lady called me at my workplace.  I already went through my bankruptcy payment and paid it off.  I knew it's from the collection agency because of their rudeness.  If there is one kind of people to be exterminated from the face of this earth it is the collection people.
