I opened a account on Petango, an internet site used by agencies to post their rescued animal. I got a call from this number soon after. Very scary.

I have not adopted a pet.  I don't even have pets and this number is calling me on my kid's cell phone, and asking for someone we don't know.  The only people that have this cell phone number is ER numbers and myself.  How do you get them to STOP calling when you don't have a pet or have never adopted.  Wow..they just keep going and going and going.

Hi, it's actually not a scam and is a legit company. If you get a call from this number, it might not necessarily mean it's from the pet insurance department. Someone could be calling from the LostPet department saying that your animal was found by someone, so I would answer.

If you want to stop getting calls from them, then I suggest you call back and ask to get off their call list.

Someone tried to call me from this number yeasterday, but didn't get through, due to a "CALL REJECT" feature on my phone that blocks all numbers that aren't in my contacts. I can't call back or send a message to find out who they are or what they want. The area code is from southern Ontario. All these posts I'm reading on this site about "pet insurance" scream "SCAM" to me. The caller is probably trying to extort money out of pet owners, saying they found a pet or some such BS and asking for money to return the pet or pay off an insurance claim. I have 4 cats and they're all present and accounted for in Charleston, South Carolina. No need to give me any BS line about finding them.

I got a call from this number today. Weird thing is they had my name and my phone number asking if I knew how to contact some dude name John cause they had his cat and I was a emergency contact. I never adopted a dog still wondering how they got my number and my name.

this no. has caled my phone, and my daughters, first leaving a message about a lost wallet, and then about a lost dog.  neither of which were lost. is it a scam?

Googled this number and found this wensite. Now I know. They call me once every other day. This doesn't bother me as long they don't call me at night. I just don't answer and since they don't leave messages they don't wast my time. I love my pet, and I would not return it or give it up just because I get bothered by some stupid calls. C'mon people if this bothers you how are you going to teach your dog to sit or a cat lol. It takes hell of more patience than ignoring calls.

They call my phone everyday. And everytime I pick up they hang up. There's no way ill call back if its long distance. I'm starting to feel harased.if I call the humane society will they get me off the list?

We adopted a dog last night, and it called and I answered but it hung up on me. No message.

I LOVE this pet insurance!!  It is ShelterCare.  I have all three of my animals on it and let me tell you . .. I have saved thousands!!

I adopted a dog from the Humane Society 3 days ago, they just started calling me, does anyone know if there is any way to get off of their calling list?

Called this morning.  I didn't answer because my phone said "Ontario" for the area code.  I just adopted a dog within the last week.  No message left.

They tell me my pet insurance is expiring. I have not pet insurance, I don't even have a pet.

Same problem here.  I just called the number back and spoke to someone. She asked "How may I help you?"  I told her I want her to take my number off their marketing list.  She took my number down and said she would make sure I don't get anymore calls.  We will see...

I have adopted 2 dogs- one over 2 years ago and the other 5 months ago!  I already have pet insurance!

This is a good company. I submitted 3 claims, andreceivedfull payment on all of them, totaling about$3000.

since I gave 24PETWATCH my google phone number I was able to BLOCK this number from calling me!   They called me at least 15 times!!

I adopted a cat 2 months ago. I have told them 2 times that i am not interested and for them to stop calling me. They assured me that they would, but the calls continue. I am tired of it. They are calling me on my cell phone at work.

It is a Pethealth Care Co based in Canada.  Have you recently adopted a pet or anything?

It is the "Free insurance" that you can sign up for upon adopting a pet.  They call and call, and sometimes hang up when you answer.  It is pretty stupid.  Makes me wish I had NOT accepted the free month of pet insurance.

Wish you didn't have it? It saved me almost a grand on my beagel i got from the humane society that had kennel cough. I mean yeah obviously the free coverage is just a ploy to get you on their call list to try and sign you up, but it's free. and it's pretty stupid to have a pet and not have pet insurance nowadays. Do you know how much cancer treatments are for a dog? Just a thought.

Yep called me tonight, I adopted a dog 10 days ago. It's out of Toronto according to Google.
