I just recieved a court paper from these people saying I have twenty days to respond back with a dispute note. This is for a debt from Canadian tire credit card. I checked my own credit and this debt has been reported already on my bureau as unable to collect by canadian tire and has been written off. I have 6 more days to respond I need help!! amanda_daisy@live.ca

This number 1-888-238-0878 is Rogers Collections for outstanding bills. If you owe them money they are calling to get it back.

I Was Sick Of The Phone Calls So I Did A Search And Found Their Website
Globalcollection.Net And Put In A Complaint.  Some Guy Called Me Back And He Got The Calls To Stop.

It's someone from "contact bill collectors", they are a**holes and very unprofessional - simply ignore their calls or mess with them when they call.

They are the most annoying people ever.
They keep saying a name that I do not know of.
And she refuses to stop calling. SO ANNOYING!!

A guy started calling me today saying that he's from a collection agency and that I have a debt with Rogers.
I just called Rogers and my balance is just fine.
I am pretty sure it's a scam. Don't give any personal information to those people!

This company is preety weird... and it called my cell and my landline phone both for a name/person that i doubt exists. It seems the company is into something other than collections....:)

I have been getting calls on my cell phone from this number "regarding a financial matter" for a name I don't recognize. They are the collections - I assume my number's previous owner didn't pay the bills? Anyway, on the voicemail they gave me a number to call back: 1-888-238-0878. I called them back and told me the person they are looking for has changed her number. Viola. No more bugging me.

How do I stop the caller with 905-855-2261 from calling me?  It's pretty annoying.  I try to call them back but the phone is busied all the time.

got that number called and a recording says I have a rogers outstanding payment matter, then it reads out a phone number asking me to call back. I called rogers customer service rightaway, and confirmed that all above is fake! Someone is going to do something bad, thats for sure!

Me too, a newcomer, just got a new cell phone, few friends. Has already had 3 unwanted calls including the one from this number. In Russia I had all incoming calls for free, and bothered little, yet had too few wrong number calls. I just ponder if it could be a fraud from the cell phone company?

The same unmber keeps calling my landline saying that it's an important call by voice recording. No one is actually picking up the phone from the other end. It really bothers me. Anyone knows who is from behind 908-855-2261?

I keep getting calls from this number.  There is never any response from the other party.

This number is from a Bill collecter by the name of Neil who works for Contact resources services in Miss. ONT. Don't answer it he has been hounding me, about an old bill the is gone from me credit record. He is a pick, jerk and a a**hole. He even got my cell number and started calling it. So don't anwser it.

Its Rogers. If you ever had an account with rogers and it went into collections, its them. Thet get your new nuber by skip tracing. I just reactivated y rogers pre-paid and yes i do owe rogers, so as soon as i activated it that # called me. I havent put money on the phone in over a year!! I used to work for Global Credit and Collections in Markham and they collect on Rogers Accounts and many  other major credit cards! So if you have an outstanding credit card balance that is in collections or an outstanding Rogers Account that is in collections, Its the employees of Global Credit and Collections agency ( P.S NEVER EVER WORK FOR THEM, ITS NOT WORTH IT!)

They are a bunch of ignorant idiots. ithink its a scam... I just tore their supervisor a new hole, i suggest you guys do the same.

Get a call from 905 855-2261 on my company blackberry every day  It is very annoying and would like for some to be able to report and stop this.

If you get ANY calls from this number 905 855 2261 - and you are in Ontario - call Rogers and get thru to Billing and have them contact theit third party collection firm, which is CRS and tell them to remove your number. If you DO NOT owe Rogers, the collections agency has f****d up.

In the past if you complain to bell canada they stop immediately. We are with Rogers but its a Rotten service.

I talked to them, since I'm the only one with fluent English in my house.
And I didn't raise my voice at them, as of matter of fact, the caller did. I explained to her, that there was no one in the house of the name she had asked for. Yet, she refused to believe that, saying the name was registered with the number. After numerous times, I still told her that there was nobody here with that name, as I was the only one in the house with fluent English and asked her how gurantee is she that the person she asked for lived here, and she stated my address, and again I said there is no one in the house with that name. And she just kept on arguing and arguing and i asked her how long she was going to call for, her reply, "forever, until I talk to the person"

aha I asked her how much she got paid for doing this, but she never replied.
I'll just play around next time she calls. Get a couple of my friends too.

Agency keeps calling asking for someone who does not own this number.  I have had this number now for over a year and have told them repeatedly to stop calling and to take this number off their list since the person they are looking for does not reside at this number.   Yet they call me 10 times a day. Next step is CRTC complaint.

I received a call from this number today.  Previously I kept getting calls from 905 855 5249.  My guess is that they are connected.  Similary story, I recently activated a phone with Fido and they seem to be looking for a 'Mario' who is clearly not me.  I called back twice and managed to speak to someone and they ended up hanging up on me.  Now when they call and I answer they hang up.  The calls seem to be more frequent the more attention you give them.  I've written a letter to the Ministry of Consumer Service.  Maybe we should all do the same?  There has to be some kind of way we can stop these people from harassing us!
