I got a call from a man with a very heavy middle eastern accent saying he was from the US Government Health Department...the accent was so thick I didn't understand him and asked him to repeat what he said.  He repeated it and asked, "ok?"; I said, "no, not ok." and hung up.  

This Number 908-818-8636 has called me 20 times in the last 3 days.. Saying I have $1600 coming to me for my vaginal sling surgery I had. I told them I never had surgery and to remove my number. Well someone in your family has. I said call them and to leave me alone. I put their number on the reject list so it just goes to voicemail and they started calling me from unknown numbers.
I just answered my phone right now asked for a Manager and told them if they called me one more time I will sue them. I asked them several times to stop calling me and take my number off their list. He was trying to tell me he has a check for me. I told him I don't care about the check. I don't want the check... I asked him if he do you understand ENGLISH.. REMOVE MY NUMBER...

I have received a call from this number today saying their are from some health thing.  I started asking them questions like;
Their name, company name, company address, company phone number, and supervisor Name.  All completely legal that any company who is legit will disclose according to the laws for solicitation.  When you start asking those question they tell you I can't give you that information then I tell them well then I can't talk to you then and take my number (which is on the DNC list) out of your system.  They still don't listen and just try using another number.  I was at the local PD when I got one of those calls and told them so.  They still tried to call again today from number listed above.  They have been reported.

Got two calls in the last week from this #. Middle Eastern accent and claims to be from "state health agency."  Get a life dude!
 

Same story like others however I am an Indian and very well understood his accent, he was from either India or Pak or somewhere nearby country...so I told him to hang up...I have been getting his calls for about a year, definitely from various other numbers and very patiently have been telling that there has been no medical surgery or compensation etc but this time, I shouted and abused and he started abusing me too... I abused whole heartedly, on everyone's behalf and then hung him up and then called AT&T. AT&T told me to text the number to 7726 and they will keep blocking the caller. Just text the number to 7726 if you have AT&T and that might stop... I will watch for few days and if this doesn't stop I will do what I can...say going to police or call FBI or whatever...

Please post the address you found for the company. Maybe if the address gets out here, the rest of us can use that information to scare them when they call, or, we can use it when filing a complaint with their local PD fraud department or the telephone company.

I get calls from this number at least twice a day. I tell him every time to remove my number from this list and that I never had surgery which is the question they keep asking when I say that I am not the person they are looking for and they have the wrong number. Apparently, they like to hang up when I ask the questions. So frustrating. I can block numbers on my phone, but sadly they keep changing their numbers and calling my phone. I know it's the same person because the area code is ALWAYS 908 and asking the same thing in his thick ACCENT!

Calls from this number two days in a row.  Both call BEFORE 8:00 AM.  Both times the calls woke me up.  Never bother to answer unfamiliar numbers.  Disconnect the minute VM kicks in.

Finally downloaded a call block app and my phone does not ring anymore when these calls are attempted; therefore, I am no longer woken up in the middle of the night.  However, the list seems to get longer each day!

I got a call from this number n of course didn't leave a message.  I tired calling it back it said something about Magic Jack. Whatever this person wanted, it had to be a scammer!!!!  Cause if it wasn't n if it was a real company they would left a real message.

The guy just called me again - same deep voice with a Nigerian accent (possibly, I couldn't tell for sure) and I told him I knew he was scamming and that I had reported his number. He promptly hung up on me. I guess he'll just go get another number and keep on doing what he's doing. But if everyone continues to report these kinds of calls, maybe we can help reduce the amount of this type of criminal activity.

This number has called me at least twice in the last week.  It is now blocked on my phone so they can't get through, but the first time they called it was a woman with a super strong accent and all I could make out was something about surgery and being "entitled to compensation".  Frustrated with my inability to understand her, she finally shouted "Did you have surgery recently" of which I replied "HIPPA law states you cannot call and ask people questions about their medical history" she promptly hung up on me.  I've since received two more calls (both middle eastern men) from different numbers but the same spiel each time.

I have gotten phone calls from this number for almost a year now.  Normally I don't answer unknown numbers, but I was expecting a call for a phone interview for a company that was located in a different state and this number happened to call just when I was expecting that call.  I was immediately bombarded with questions about receiving compensation for a surgery I've never had nor has anyone in my family ever had.  I told him he had the wrong number and that I was expecting another call and had to go.  He started yelling at me saying that I could receive a large lump sum for my injury due to surgical errors.  As he was stating this, the other call I was expecting came through so I picked it up and left him on hold for the hour long conversation.  I don't know how long he actually stayed on hold (call waiting) but it still showed his number as an active one when I hung up with the company I interviewed with.  Either way, I have this number saved in my phone as "A**hole Scammer" since my phone won't let me block it.  

I get called by this guy relentlessly. He calls asking for Jennifer and I keep telling him it's the wrong number.  He said that I need to stop lying because he has important information on my past surgeries.  I informed him that I have nevet had surgery in my life and, again,  that he has the wrong number. I told him to stop calling my number. He got mad, hung up...and called back. He has a middle eastern accent and a bad attitude.  Also claims to be from the health department. So sick of these calls.

The guy with the deep voice and heavy accent - Nigerian maybe - just called me and asked if someone in my family was expecting compension following complications from surgery. In fact, someone in my family did have surgery last year, and we are expecting compensation. So somehow, this guy has access to medical records. So much for privacy. My phone indicates he's calling from Belvidere, NJ. I called the number back and got a message from Magic Jack: "MagicJack is a device that plugs into a USB port on the user's computer (or in the case of magicJack Plus, plugs directly into a router) and that has a standard RJ-11 phone jack into which any standard phone can be plugged. This allows the user to make unlimited phone calls to U.S. and Canada."

I received a call from 908-818-8636 this morning, the caller was a male with a heavy accent.  The accent was so bad that I could not understand what he was saying and asked that he put someone on that spoke English.  he hung up! I am registered with the do no t call list and find theses calls annoying.

04.07.14 - California 1:37pm - Called our land line which is unlisted AND on the do not call list.  Caller I.D. Listed call from Belvidere, NJ, number 908-818-8636.  Did not answer, recorded message started and they hung up. Based upon what I have read am reporting them to NJ phone company.

Also it said the number had not yet been assigned to anyone. Very suspicious.

When I call ed the number back they said it was a magic jack. You buy these and plug into a computer. So basically the call could have originated from anywhere.

I got a call from this number saying I had hospital compensation for a bladder mesh surgery... then changed their story to a hip replacement surgery. I said I had neither. The guy I was talking to had an east Indian accent and proceeded to ask if my mom, dad, or husband had hip replacements.. I said no one had!! He then asked my name. And asked if he could have my husband's name. I said I wasn't giving it to him and asked why he was inquiring. He replies because I like you ma'am..... would you like for us to be friends?? I told him no!!! I want you to never call this number again and hung up. Five seconds later he called back. I didn't answer.... these people have called before but I never picked up. This is too far....

I get several calls a week from this number on my cell phone. I've never answered and find this annoying as I only use my cell for emergencies.

Submit a complaint to the FTC if you are registered on the Do Not Call List. Very easy to do. I have been reporting all the crazy callers that are dialing my number, and after filing complaints with the FTC, the calls eventually stop.

This is the second time that I have gotten a call from this number and I have answered twice. The first time it was a female second time a male both with heavy middle eastern accents. The told me that I could be compensated with a lot of money for the hip surgery that I had a long time ago. I am 26 years old, I must have had this surgery went I was 10. Furthermore I am a nurse and you can just tell by the way these people talk (lack of medical terminology, not by the accent), that they had absolutely no medical or professional training. As this was the second call I had received, I started to ask him question, who are you, where do you work, how did you get my number....and he HUNG UP ON ME!!!! I tried to call back and no answer!!!
I see that some other have reported this number to the FBI how can I do the same?

Another fraud and scam trying to raise money for al qaida or some other terrorist group by getting private information and id theft, where's elliot ness when you need him.?
they should find these peeps and stick a phone in their colon
or hang them by their feet and slap em with a big cactus, feed them laxatives  by the gallon and tie them up in a box in the desert , drop them off in the middle of the atlantic ocean tied to a dead horse.

I  get calls form this number every day for the last few days. If I pick up there is no answer. There were so many complaints here about this number. So, let's do something.

I get at least 10-15 calls a week including this 908#. I oit a call on my CELL phone VM with a man speaking with Authority. Identified himself as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA, WHAT?). Claimed I was under DEA Federal investigation. Left his name and odd P# that I was to call right away before they have issue an arrest warrant.

First I almost crapped my pants, let my wife listen to it but neither of us knew WTH it was about. Then I said to myself, I have done nothing wrong, I have not known any shady characters in over decade. I looked up the info and found out it was a major scam that countless people fell for. FBI said if they dial a Drug User/Dealer they may fall for a Bribe Scam cause they know they are guilty. The Scammers collect public Arrest history and target those with past Narcotics charges. I had several Pot charges 20 years ago.

I called the P# he gave me and let him use his BS story. I played along and he wanted me to Western Union $2000. Long story shorter, I got him down to $500. in 4 installments. Then I laughed at him asking his Badge Number and What Office He was out of. He was so pissed he started swearing and going nuts on me. I had his address from reverse lookup and said I'm calling your Local Police and giving your info which is a serious Felony. He Hung up before I finished saying Felony.

A few months later another one called with the same exact DEA scam. I reported the second guy to the FBI after I got his VM and he Claimed he was whoever from the DEA and lv a msg pls. They did not even give a s***, believe me they do not care about scammers. I practically begged the Agent just to Call the P#. I doubt they did.
