I keep getting calls from this number and nobody answers. Sometimes when I call this number back ,get the recorded massage saying this number that this number is no longer in use, to check the number or there is no answer from the other side and they disconnect it. It is so annoying. Is there another way to stop this beside DNC list to end this annoyance?

I've gotten calls from this number a few times.  It's obviously a scam.  There are no phone numbers that begin with 148. I never answer the call but  when I try to call back, I get a recording that my call cannot be completed.

Received a call from 909-148-6792 earlier tonight. The lady asked for Mr. and Mrs. (plus our last name).  I asked who is this and she hung up.  I called the same number back and the message I got was "I'm sorry your long distance company cannot complee as dialed.  Please contact your long distance carrier".  It's very odd as it's supposed to be a local number and yet it's telling it's a long distance call.

I have received multiple phone calls from 909-148-6792, and am pretty sure that I have asked them to take me off their call list.  The call I received today, to say the least, put me in an outrage.  Firstly, we receive so many phone calls from various building/contracting companies that I usually cut to the chase and let these folks know that my husband is a "contractor" and we do all of our own work on our own home.  This man literally accused me of be a liar, and I found myself in a very defensive mode.  I'm actually home from work today and was stupid enough to share my line of work with this caller, which is as an inspector for a SoCal city.  He then had the audacity to state that I must be receiving payola and should know myself that you have be licensed contractor to work on your own home, none of these comments are true.  Homeowners can do a lot of their own work with proper permits.  Some repairs and remodeling don't even require permits.  Before you start work on your own or hire anyone to work in your home, check with your local building department to see if you need permits.  You should also check out any contractor before you agree to any work or give any deposits.  You can check their California contractor license status @ www.cslb.ca.gov, you should also ask for recent references and check their insurance certificate as well.  Contractors have a unique ability to put liens on your property, and it is very important that you chose a reputable one that will do the work as specified.

And if you are the guy that called my home today, insulted me and accused me of doing something illegal -shame on you!
