I got the call today.. called them back and it is Ft Worth Star Telegram. Just tell them to remove you from their calling list...hopefully it works.

No message just keeps calling. I don't answer from numbers I don't have listed.

They call several times a day.  Caller ID says "Star Telegram".  I never answer it.

I keep getting calls from this number and want it stopped!

I have received two calls from this number in 24 hours.  No message. I haven't answered and after reading these posts, I won't answer.  Figured it was marketing companies.  I am also on the Do Not Call List.  Fat lot of good that does.

They call and call and call.  I've told them to remove my from the call list, but they don't listen.  Must be from some stupid country that doesn't understand English.  Also, they must be desperate to get business...I hope that they will go out of business.  Must be a psychotic company who doesn't know when to leave people alone.  Such idiots!!!!

Same story here...canceled the Star-Telegram. Went to Kindle version and told them that three times...still, they call. Didn't think I'd have to do it, but next time I pick up, I will give them the usual telemarketer line: PLEASE TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST AND HAVE A NICE DAY! By law, they have to remove you when you request it. Make it a habit and make your life easier.

I added this number to my "rejected" list. It still constantly shows up as missed calls. At least my phone doesn't ring and they don't leave a message. Something should happen with this.

This phone number calls me on a average of 3 - 4 times a day and as late as 9:00pm.  I have caller ID and it shows Star Telegram but the area code is 909 and my area code is 817.  I stopped my subscription to the Star Telegram about 2 months ago and since then have received numerous calls daily.

This number won't stop!!!! I called Fort Worth Star Telegram back in Feb and took my name off the list then again in Sept. the girl promised me this time my number has been removed, yet its October and they are calling me AGAIN!

This morning at 10:37am CDT, I got two simultaneous phone calls from this number, one to my landline and one to my cell phone.  Caller ID showed the Fort Worth Star Telegram for both and both of my numbers are on the state/federal DNC lists.

This same number also tried my cell phone last night at 8:19pm CDT and showed coming from Fontana, CA.  Like others, when I called back (using *67), they answered the phone as Metro News Service.

Appears to be from FW Star Telegram.  Area code 909 is from CA, riverside area so I am not sure why they would use this area code.  Very annoying

I did the same thing and this was back in Feb... they quit calling for 30days then start back up again.

This number calls all times day and night, I get a actual person on the other end trying to sell me the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I have fighting with them since December. I've called the main Star Telegram number and requested to be off the list SEVERAL times. The calls will stop for a couple months, then start up again. It is very annoying!

Received 2 calls in less than 24 hours.  Got on here to check out the number, then decided to call them back.  Immediate answer is by an automated voice stating "your call is being transferred to the receptionist".  Then, someone answers "Metro News".  I told the man that I have been receiving calls from this number, and he states "we just want to know if you want to subscribe to our publication".  I told him no, and please do not call my number again, and he hung up on me.

They call ALOT! and never say anything.  It's creepy and wierd.

This number is calling up to 9 pm, I have answered and get a automated message saying I have a credit fraud and my card has been canceled  " Please press 1" the message is very bad and the bank name can not be understood. It plays twice and hangs up... no message.  I have had a identity theft a few years ago (though the mail)  I ran all my credit reports with no problems.  I have had the Star Telegram newspaper, canceled 6 months ago or so and that is really disturbing to me.  Is this such a shady business and is this legal? I have never pushed 1 or tried to talk to these people at all.  I would be very cautious of this number to anyone that sees it!     Oh it shows on my cell from California.

Same story here..   multiple calls up until 8:55PM.  I've called them multiple time and asked to be put on do not call list.  They informed me that it takes up to 30 days to filter through the system.. This is unacceptable.   Time to annoy them!

I am a day sleeper and get so tired of these telemarketing calls! I just got a call from this number, read these posts and called them back. While I was calling another telemarketer called in! Anyway, told them to take me out of their data base and a nice guy said he would asked for my number so he would be able to do it. hope it works!

The caller ID on our phone says "Star Telegram" and we subscribers to the Fort Worth Star Telegram.  We receive a call from this number approx once per day.  The 2 times I've picked up the phone, no one was there.

This number has called me ALL times of the day and night. I tried not answering for a week and it didn't help, I tried answering and it just hangs up every time. I recently stopped receiving the Fort Worth Star Telegram as well. Does anyone know how to make the calls stop?

This number has started calling me (on my cell phone that is on the do not call list).  They NEVER leave a message which tells me that it's telemarketers.

Same thing here -- FW Star Telegram (local newspaper) that I cancelled a few months ago. Wierd thing is the delivery person came knocking at my door about 15 minutes later. Don't know if it could be coincidence or not!

Started receiving calls this week.  They have called 3 times, and I answered once, but no one was on the line.

I recieve calls from this number all the time, and everytime i answer it is a different company i ask to get removed from there list and they do i dont get calls from that company but same number different company. this morning i called the number and talked to the lady who answered she informed me that they were a marketing company and were employed by several companys, i told her that i had asked them to remove my phone number from her list and she said that it was removed from that companys list but that you would still recieve calls from other companys. i asked her if there was a way to be removed from there data base as to not get calls from any companys that the represent and she said yes, and asked for my phone number and said it might take up to 30 days. so we will see.
