They call only to hand up.  I would like to find their home phone numbers and call them then hang up 1000 times a day.

Rude, rude, rude. When I asked him to please take me off his list, he responded, 'because you said that, we are not going to stop calling you. We will just keep on calling over and over again.' I have blocked the number so guess what, he can't call me again.

These stupid morons just don't get it. If I block your number and then you call from another spoofed number, do you think I want to talk to you? Stupid solar installers are just trying to sell you junk that doesn't  get a good return on investment until you own it for 15 years and then it's probably time to replace it, idiots!

Side note:  While I was typing the above post, this number called (and was blocked) again.  As above, I never heard a thing.  My call blocker has first ring suppression and takes care of business during that first ring.

Call all you want a-holes.  If you aren't one of the 70-80 invited numbers on my white list, you aren't going to ring my home phone.

Checking my blocker, I see they called yesterday. Another spoofed local number. Yawn.  Nomorobo missed it, but my call blocker didn't.

Never heard a thing as I'm now using a white list.  Only  invited people can ring my phone.  Everyone else (who isn't blocked by Nomorobo or my blocker) gets answering machine hell.  Screw you!

To the poster above me:  It can end.  Go white list with everyone else going to voice mail/answering machine.

Another day, another sleazy telemarketer.  These morons sort of make you lose faith in mankind sometimes.  They are a very small percentage of people, just like the one bad apple in the bushel story.  The good apples should pass a decent law WITH ENFORCEMENT that will chase after these clowns and shut them down.

Do they really think they will make sales with their rude tactics?

Unabated harassment allowed by phone co's
There is a way to sign up for a FREE service called Nomorobo to stop these annoying robocalls. My problem is that my landline carrier, AT&T, currently doesn't support Nomorobo because they need to add the Simultaneous Ringing rejection capabilities to their LANDLINE service. I called AT&T months ago, as the Nomorobo.com page suggested, to request they help stop spam calls aimed at people like me with this free service. But, after wasting my time jumping through all of AT&T's automated hoops to reach a real person to speak with, I found out they don't seem to care and have no solutions of their own that worked (yes, I even paid extra for one of their products that was supped to help, of course... it didn't!) I suspect phone companies profit from these calls, as others have suggested, so they have no incentive to stop them, and just let us, the receivers of these harassing calls, suffer - and in some unfortunate cases - get scammed.

SO, I decided to use AT&T's call forwarding service to make AT&T understand the problem a little better.
After I get a spam call, I enter it into my "call forwarding list" (*63). The number I have dialed in for the call forwarding is: AT&T (Traditional Landline) Customer Service 1-800-288-2020 (I had to use the number "one" in my entry). This way AT&T, who refuses to help stop this problem, will get the next spam call from this number (if it's repeated) instead of me.
I'm hoping if they start to get the same number of spam calls I get - they'll decide it's worth stopping the problem.

A man by the name if of Robert called and was insistent that I discuss my electric bill, when I asked him to take my phone # off his list he talked over me. Was extremely rude and persistent, didn't want to take no for an answer. When I told him to take me off his list he continued to ask me questions on my electric bill. When I asked him if he heard me he said yes but continued to ask me about my electric bill.
