This is apparently part of some fraud. You call that number and they ask you to enter your account details. As amanda suggested, report to Bank of America in case you get such an email/SMS. Forward the SMS if possible.

However, this number (9093421240) is no longer working. They may switch to a new number.

Total scamo, I  don't have a debit card with Bank of America

I was texted the same as others, "your debit card is locked!  Please call security staff at... " this number.  I do have a Bank of America credit card but I don't use a debit card, and real banks would have an 800 number to call.  So I'm not surprised this is a scam but the thing is, why can't police track down these scammers?  Does the bank report it?

Got a message on cell that BOA card locked.  I do not have a BOA card.  This is a scam.

Got this text as well this morning. I already knew it was a scam but still, what a bunch of lowlifes.

I just got a text and was told to call this number to unlock my debit card.  I called back because I did have an issue with getting a new PIN and thought it was related.  NOT related.  They ask for your card info...enough to be able to steal and use it.  DO NOT CALL THEM. CALL YOUR BANK AND CANCEL YOUR CARD.

I just got the same text but I don't bank with Bank of America & I googled the number & found this site.  Stupid scammers, go find a real job and contribute to society.  Hope they get caught & end up in a prison doing laundry.

Call your bank report that you recieved the message or email or phone call. Give them the number, email address, all the information you can. This not only protects you in the event they do have pertinit info but it also protects people in the future...

This is a fraud attemt. The past few days I have been making adjustments to my bank account and I recieved a text from apache@gastricsleeve.com. I called the number and the recording asked me to enter  my 16 digit card number. My husband googled the number and came up with this website!!!!

I received a text from apache@gastricsleeve.com to say my debit card has been locked and to call 909-342-1240. Ummm....I don't bank with gastricsleeve.com. Anyone know who we can report these people to?

I am on vacation, got one text from this number, same n\message as above, then a second text from sender 5150 giving a phone number to call. This sender was Apache@gastricsleeve.com, interesting that upon unsuccessfully sending the message that the second part came i\under a heading that means mentally unstable or crazy!

I received a call saying that my Bank of America Visa Debit card has been locked due to suspicious activity but the funny thing is I dont have a Bank of America account.  This is a fraud attempt so dont your give your numbers to anyone.
