"before you ruin the opportunity i challenge you to actually attend the interview"
By opportunity I'll assume you mean the chance to have a few hours of our lives wasted listening to a presentation we (The ones who were dumb enough to show up) didn't want to listen to, but were sucked into because you guys lied about available positions?
Here is a challenge for you Alex, I challenge you and your office to be honest and straight up about what you are offering instead of lying and playing games to get people into the building.
Megan 2014-05-08 22:49:00 Unknown
I had the misfortune of actually showing up to this freak show for an Administrative position. I was called by a young lady on the phone who asked me if I was:
1. Looking for full time work
2. Had manager experience
I answered yes to both and the woman on the phone told me they had a strong interest in my resume that they found on Monster. Because I was asked about management experience, I figured they were looking for an office manager so I asked "Is this an Admin Manager position" to which the girl on the phone told me "Yeah, something like that, yes." So I made an appointment to come in for an "interview".
The interview is actually you sitting in a room with about 12 other people while they try and convince you to be a door to door sales person to union members. There is NO admin, data entry, or any other position available. From the presentation I watched they want you to be a door to door sales person selling life insurance. I. sat as long as I could, but when 4 people stood up to walk out I am proud to say I did as well and a couple more followed. Trust me on this one! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE, THEY ARE VERY DISHONEST ABOUT WHO THEY ARE AND ABOUT THE JOB THEY OFFER.
This of it this way, if the 'job' they offered was that great would they seriously need to lie about it to get people to show up to their little group interview? Im thinking NO.
Aaron 2014-05-08 22:37:12 Unknown
I was called by these people as well and when I asked about the position, pay structure, hours and other information pertaining to the job, I was told all of that would be covered in the interview.
If a company who is offering you a job cant be forthright about what you will be doing, how much you get paid or anything else this is a good indicator they're full of it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

The number was (700-104-1267) I should have known.
KIm 2014-05-08 04:34:01 Unknown
I received a call from this number tonight.. She was very hard to understand..and used the police, fire and other law enforcement to promote the employment. Stating they sell insurance plans to them. Even mentioned the job was "Union" and how great it is to be protected by the Union. So glad I googled the phone number before my interview. At the same time it is VERY disturbing. I have been actively seeking employment for 2 years. And to think that there are scam artists involved with employment is an eye opener.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I was about to go check it out but seems like everything said to this point on this board is 100% accurate to what I have seen and been told. Does seem like a scam and a pyramid scheme.

We'll this number called me .. I answered and I got an interview!! And IM going! What can I loose? IM a serious job seeker with two Lil boys so .. I'll work hard as long as they give me the chance!! Wish me luck!!

I just received a call from a girl named Jessica and I'm supposed to have an interview tomorrow. I was told the same thing some of you people addressed in this forum that I would be in an interview for a data entry position. I knew this wasn't legit interview, becuase all of the positions that I have applied, I submitted my resume and I knew that something was off when they keep asking me if I'm employed or some of my skills in a work environment. If they tried to scam people they will fail as long as we have google
MMM 2013-06-06 04:14:37 Unknown
A man by the name of Freddy Valencia called me stating they wanted to interview me for a data entry position. I asked him if this was a sales position, and said I DO NOT want to work in sales any longer, and have no desire to continue in customer service or sales. He said he would make a note in my file and assured me that this interview is not for sales. I read this thread the night before my interview and once I read the response from the company and checked that this is, in fact, a legitimate company, made my rather apprehensive decision to attend. At first everything seemed normal, it was 3 other women and I, they stuck us in a room and said we would be briefed on the company and then they would discuss the positions available and pay. The debriefing started strong and seemed standard, until eventually it became slowly but surely clear they wanted sales people to go into peoples homes to sell insurance to union workers. People began walking out. I did raise my hand and state that I was told that I was here for a data entry position, the speaker, Alfred (I forgot his last name) stated to write "part time" on the bottom of my interview questions and he would discuss it with management, but it was obvious then I had wasted my time and was lied to. They called me later, a woman named Valerie and asked once again about a sales opportunity. I once again had to make it clear that I was not interested.
So it is a legitimate company, but they are not honest and they will not listen.

I received a call from Valerie this morning saying they got my résumé from seeker builders as well and I thought something was weird when she asked what was my position if I was currently working hello it's on my résumé and if I ever worked as manager or supervisor , it's only on my résumé I said yes then she said your the perfect candidate can you come for interview tomorrow at 10:30 , I said yes , then when she said be here early dress professional attire . Something told me to google this! You all have saved me the time of making a a** out of my time thinking its a real job. He'll no I ain't going!!! Thank God for google!!!

Received a call from Priscilla claiming they found my resume on careerbuilders. com, and they liked my resume. but she had a few questions, First was I seeking full time as this was a full time position, and second have I had any managing experience, to which I answered yes. Great she said we would like you to come down for an interview, would tomorrow at 10:30
work, I replied I had a prior commitment and she said we have an opening the following day at the same 10:30 slot. I told her that works best for me and she said please come to 2155 Chicago ave in Riverside,Ca. and please show up because there are other candidates they are considering I would be denying them the opportunity by not showing up, and please dress up for the interview.
Arriving at the appointment and was asked to fill out some forms. Once complete I was met by a very impersonal individual whom had a handshake like a jelly fish and never made eye contact, briskly I was guided to a room full of people where the" the presentation" was about to begin.
I could give you the boring details but in brief after hearing the "scam" or the "not as described" line of bull S&*t, I handed the unfinished forms back to them and said No Thanks.......
You will need to get your Insurance sales license in which you will have to pay for, and before you sent out on you own you will need upwards of 2 month Unpaid training.
If you have nothing to do for a few hours and want to hear another MLM
sales pitch have at it. Good Luck to you.
American Income Life, Scammed me and wasted my time, and Had NO Job Interview.
And As a Bonus for just listening you have won a FREE 1 Carrot Ring, just don't let the rabbits see it or they will eat it !!

Thanks just got the same call. I was suspicious because generally when someone calls me for an interview they identity themselves. I had to ask name of the company, what do you do, what position are you looking to fill what shifts etc. My call also said American Income and they are an international company that manages benefits and union stuff. I did not understand how you can manage benefits and union workers internationally as different countries have very different programs. At any rate I googled them and so glad I did now I do not have to waste my time tomorrow (10:15) driving over there
Serene 2012-12-28 18:53:40 Unknown
Actually America Income is a very respectable and legit company. You should recheck your sources. AIL is actually when of the top companies to work for in Ca. Its a shame you did not take advantage of the opportunity.

Just received a call from a Richard 626-833-9601. Sounded shady when asked if I can come in on a Saturday for a entry level management position. I asked directly if this is a sales & marketing position, cold calling, etc. I would not be interested. Said it was in customer service, sitting down with union members (teachers, firefighters) to discuss their benefits. Got my resume from Monster. Made a wednesday appointment and he said he will call on Tuesday to remind me. What legitimate company does that? Googled it. Cancelling the appt. Not going to waste my time & gas.

I just got called out of the blue for an interview with these same people.. The red flag was raised when they asked me to come in tomorrow (Saturday) for an interview. My kids are involved in sports so I told them I couldn't come in (who does interviews on a Saturday?) they said ok how about next Wednesday my wife is in school on Wednesday. I figured by then they would catch on that I'm not interested but he says ok I can fill you in on Thursday.. Pretty persistent if you ask me.. Only salesmen are that persistent. Seems kinda shady.. Now that I seen this thread in gonna ask him about it next time he calls. Cause he said he will call me to remind me.. Lol most employers don't hire employees they need to remind of a job interview.
Rhett 2012-10-02 19:07:56 Unknown
They called me too, to meet with Elizabeth, bring a resume, dress professional, blah blah blah. I Looked them up, they have a BBB date of May of 2012, that's only 4 months from when I'm writing this, and others go back telling about this "company" for over a year, SHADY. Just going to stay away.

I received a phone call from a woman named Valarie this afternoon and scheduled an interview for Wednesday, 6-27-12. I am suppose to meat with Alex and based on these reviews and the further information I received from my very intelligent, reliable father, I am going to cancel my interview with them tomorrow morning. I will not waste my time with any sort of insurance company from this point forward. It is not worth my time or gas money. Thank you all so much for helping me make this decision.
