Got a text at 5:15 AM. Sent a reply - "Nice scam. Stop sending me messages." I see that someone else replied, too. I hope the number isn't a mask and some poor slob in Pamona, CA isn't getting slammed with nasty replies.

I received the identical message at 6:50 AM, on a Saturday!
"Your entry has WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code 6354 to claim your FREE $1000 Target gift card within 24hrs."
File a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry. I know that seems like a waste of time, but the fact these scammers are completely disregarding consumer's right to privacy and sending messages late at night and in the early mornings, may get the Registry's attention.
Where are the hackers when we need them? TargetContests.com - now there's a site you guys ought to take down. Publish the owner's home phone numbers so we can call them at 1:00 AM!

I saw saw the same message on my phone a few minutes ago; and also received a similar one for Best Buy. Too bad-these companies do not need phone calls, right now during this busy holiday season, from people wondering if they did win the gift cards. I do wonder what happens if someone does go to the websites and puts it the 'code'?????? Boy, could I have used $2,000 in gift cards right now!! LOL Some companies DO reward gift cards randomly to those who fill out questionnaires after shopping at their stores (CVS, Target, etc)...but I have not done anything like that in a while, so I was suspect these two messages today.

I did too, I replied "nice scam"

Got the same message, luckily not in the middle of the nite. I even got the same code of 6354.

I also got the exact same message. I called Target Corporation headquarters and they informed me that this is a SCAM and not to enter any info or go to the site....

Text message to cell phone at 12:46 a.m.
?Your entry last month WON! Go to TargetContests.com and enter your winning code 6354 to claim your FREE $1000.00 Target gift card within 24hrs.?
This smelled fishy immediately since I hadn't entered any contests and I don't give out my cell number.
A Google search sent me to scambook where my suspicions were confirmed.
The old adage stands firm. If it sounds too good to be true....
