missed this call right after I got a collect call from sb jail....must be a scam!

So, it's not just me?  I got the jail call too.  WTF?!?!?  What kind of scam is it?  Calling at random?

WTF?  I call back the number and it doesn't even ring...just hangs up on me.  I answered the call and nobody's on the other end???

got call from this number twice, saying the call might be monitored and it is a collect call, don't know where is this coming from, hang up on the first time and didn't answer the second time. quite annoying, wonder how to block this?

It's someone calling from West Valley Detention Center.  If you have family or a friend in jail, they're probably trying to contact you.  If you don't know anyone that is in that Jail, then maybe they got the wrong number, it's hard to memorize phone numbers sometimes.

dude this is a scam b/c they called me twice so i called my phone provoder b/c i was all freaked out an inmate called me and they said my line rejects collect calls, it will not accept them. then i googled "collect calls from inmates" and it's a total scam!

its not a scam. cell phones dont pick up collect calls only home lines. you cant call back a collect call either thats not how the system works. sorry

I answered and it was collect so I immediately hung up! I called my phone provider and they said my line rejects all collect calls so this has got to be a scam of some kind. I also got a call the very next day and left a message of the collect call recording.

Heard a recording start to say "you have a collect call" then I imediately hung up.  The phone # was unfamiliar and I do not accept collect calls.

I want to know where this call is coming from and if it can be blocked
