Received a call stating that money was owed, con artist.  How do you stop the calling?

These guys are FRAUDS...... they got me for $600.00!!! I have my local police dept investigating them.

I've been getting a call since yesterday from this number telling me to pay a sum of 497.50 or I'm going to jail told me they was sending the legal documents over to the local police and I will be picked up within 24hrs.

Omg i guys such a relief thats this is a scam i actually thought i was going to.jail...i started to realize it WAS sum type of scam.when the lady got mad and started to get an attitude .... welll thank u guys.... i will not worry now....

I just got the exact same call from 9096668256 ex220 that they would have the local police take me to jail for 30 days due to my loan with pay day max, I told them that I would call pay day max and make my payment they said "thats fine with me". I called the number  they gave to me and it didnt work. creepy

I have been receiving calls from this same number for a few months now and actually have been paying on my loan. I had no idea it was a scam until I received a call today from the actual company telling me they had received no payments. This was my first time ever taking out an online loan and best believe it is my LAST.

Hi Zoki, I can't thank you enough for sharing your story, because it ensured me that my instincts were correct originally today at work, however, they did get me for a bit had I not had the help of my mom and family who are police officers and my bank.  I am sorry to hear that yours went as far as them pretending to be the police.  My mother called them at the 909 and informed them of the report made to the police on them and they told her the big F*** you and not to call them again.  Awe boo hoo hoo, now who is feeling the Heat literally.  Thanks for all the numbers my mom called them and they were answered by the same person, trying to change his voice, my mom said, "who are you, you are certainly not Robin Williams"  and the guy said "who's Robin Williams"?  Wow, obviously they have no comedians where they are at over seas.  It is amazing how many people would rather steal from you then work and be honest Americans, oops they aren't.

Today I received a phone call at my work saying they were the fraud/attorney named John Lincoln and I said "what is this a joke, I am Abraham Lincoln and where is my sister"? He got upset this Indian man and hung up.  I called my mom and asked if anyone had called the house from Boston, Mass.  As we were speaking the call came in, she immediately gave me this number 508-313-8122 and 310-555-1359, I called it and I echoed so badly the guy Ricky Harris who barely spoke english, harsh Indian accent, and said "hang up I will call you back".  He called back and proceeded to give me the supposed I owe for a payday loans and asked If I had a criminal record, and then said "how many payday loans do you have", we have not downloaded the criminal case to file legal proceedings what do you want to do with this"?  I began to cry (knowing that this was probably fake), he got nervous and said "uh please calm down don't cry, I am not trying to hurt you, did you say you were a single mom"?  I asked for the number to the place that said I had a loan that was given to me online and that number is the 909 666-8256 how ironic (666) just like the devil trying to reek havoc on innocent hard working people, however God did say "no weapon formed shall prosper".  Anyways, this new man said, I received this loan a long time ago, and I said I did? When? He came back on the line and I could here someone directing his call and feeding him the responses.  He claimed I owed 300 dollars back in april of this year.  I just so happened to be getting off the freeway and informed to stay on the line while I walked into the bank to ask the banker to read aloud my statement for april showing me a deposit, then a debit and the nsf showing that my bank refused to pay this loan.  He tried to offer some solution called "out of court credit resolution) and that I would not have to pay the 687.00 interest fees only the 300.00 since I would be willing to make good.  This case had not been downloaded for the police just yet if I was willing to agree to this.  They wanted to read me an affidavit get me to agree.  I said let me finish here with the banker and He got angry, and shouted and said I am forwarding your case to the police and they will show up to your house in the morning.  So my mother googled, my family is full of police officers and this will get prosecuted as long as there are people willing to fight against foreign invaders thinking they can take advantage of hard working true Americans.  I will pray for those who are being bamboozled.  Have Faith people, do not let them scare, for the Lord is your protector and He will not fail you.

I got a call this morning from a police department and gave me this number to call 'coz they are sending the legal documents so I can be arrested for not paying my loan?? and giving them a fraud statement.  So I called the number and Katherine who answered and told me they're handling only a legal matter and not accepting any fund or money but I pretend to sound scared, (I knew it's a scam) and if I can settle then she told me if I can pay $751.00 today they will send me the documents that I already paid off.  I'd been getting a call from different number since last Friday with threats that I'm going to jail if I don't pay and they have all different amount.  I blocked all those number from last Friday until yesterday Thursday, so when they can't get hold of me this morning they used the Police department phone number and pretend he is an officer to serve me.  I went to the nearest police station and reported the scam and gave them all the information, and they called the other police department which is right number but there's no such officer's name. Katherine gave me 4 hours to pay the amount and if not I'll be arrested, it's already almost 7 hours since we've talked and she's been trying to call me in home and cell number so I blocked her now.  They don't operate on weekend so let's wait for Monday. I got a call from that number saying they were pursuing legal action to sue me because of an online payday they supposedly gave me. They said they had deposited the funds into a bank of America account of mine. I called and asked what was the date that I originally applied and they kept saying that they no longer had that information and all they had was my charge off date. I haven't heard from them since.

This person is claiming to be a representative from TransUnion.  They are working with scammers from the Bloomfield, Il area.  The other phone numbers to watch for are 309-200-0522 and 603-780-5105. They conned my mom out of $685. Beware.
