Got a call requesting our maintenance guy.  I told her he only works at night, so they tried to get cell # and said they were playing phone tag when I asked if she would like to leave a message.  Not very rude, but persistent.  I called the number back and they answered it "Midway".  Obviously some sort of phishing thing going on.  

Very unprofessional - his response when I answered the phone was "Hey - yo" then "how you doin".  After I said OK and a long pause, he said he needed to talk to the maintenance man but couldn't remember his name.  Total BS so I told him to bother someone else & hung up.  Proceeded to call back twice more - and get hung up on twice more.  Losers.

Stop calling my cell phone!!!!

A guy just called me from 9096702218 and said his ame is Lynn and he is from Midway with an important message for our maintenance man. I said, I don't know who you are talking about, can you give me a name? He said, I can't remember but he is really nice.  I said, I am not going to give out any information if you can't give me a name.  He sounded convincing by stating that he was calling from our corporate office, so I called our maintenance man and explained this, he said he has no clue who he is.  So I switched back over to the other line and told the guy from Midway that unless you can give me your information so our maintenance man call YOU back, I can't help you.  He got extrememly rude with me and hung up.  

Got several calls from 909-670-2218. They are trying to get a name so they can just ship supplies to us. This happened years ago to a company I worked for. Several hundred light bulbs just showed up at our door. Be careful folks. Some sick people out in this world.

A "person" called stating that he had some questions about a Junction Box that ***** (our manager) had  ordered. I asked if I could get his name he said Kenny and I had asked what company and avoided the question and stated that his last name was Riggs with two "G's". You could hear other people in the background kinda like a call center type environment so that made me think twice I put him on hold and asked my co-worker if he had known about a Junction Box being ordered and he knew nothing of such order. When I came back on the line he had asked to confirm the alternet number of the manager so he could leave a voicemail he began to dictate the number 623-123-_ _ _ _ he didn't have the last four digets. My co-worker spoke to him and gave him the alternet number and immediatly "Kenny" hung up on us. He called the managers alternet number and didn't leave a message of any sort. Shortly after my manager returned and saw the missed called and returned the call and the machine that picks up from the number (909-670-2218) says that the voicemail is full and to try later and then disconnects. This is not a very plesent thing to go through since he had a lot of information. someone needs to stop this expecially since this isnt the first complaint!

Guy calls and asks for my boss and says is she around. I asked who was calling. He said John McCook is she around. I said from what company. He said Midway is she around. I said what is this regarding? He says "well they have you trained like a robot. You have no personality. I think I will take our business somewhere else". I said Why don't you do that".  Man am I pissed off.

Called our office under the name of Kenny Ray from Mid Atlantic. He wanted to verify our mailing address and send a catalog. Luckily our Operations Manager is savvy and did not give any information.
We have been scammed before by companies verifying name and addresses and sending product we didn't order, then billing inflated prices. Report these guys to the Better Business Bureau - they are most likely all connected and the BBB can forward the info onto the Federal Trade Commission.

Told me his name was Dave King from Mid Atlantic.

This guy has called 6 times in the last 24 hours.  We are a small company which will have 12 people in the office MAYBE if the time is right but 3-6 normally.  A man calling himself Dan McCoy called yesterday and spoke to Mike, after Mike got off the phone with him, this guy said he was going to send us some cleaners and he'll just bill us later. He called 20 minutes later claiming to be at the UPS shipping dock and was going to send us stuff so I told him Mike was fired figuring that would be the end of it. WRONG

This morning he called TWICE under the name Ted Knight and harassed our secretary, who did not put him through to anyone and when she tried ask him what she could help him with, he got really agitated and wouldn't answer any of her questions that she was asking to try and help him. He called again TWICE more just this afternoon. Now he is asking for the owner of this company. These people are relentless, rude, and extremely harassing.

Caller asked for the Warehouse Manager, said he was the electrician getting back to him. There is no warehouse manager here, and they wouldn't be the ones calling an electrician anyway. I expressed doubt about an electrician from California being called to work on the east coast. "Oh, that's just my cell number!"

Riiiiiiiiight.

The number is now tagged in the system. The "electrician-returning-an-urgent-call-can't-remember-his-name-you'd-BETTER-transfer-my-call-or-else" didn't work the first time and it won't work the 20th time either!

These guys sell light bulbs. Dunno what kind of value they offer but if their misleading sales tactics are any indicator, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole!

just got a call from this number asking for the shop manger. said a name i dont know so i asked what company is he calling for becasue there is 6 differnt office in out city. he said our company's name and i said what company are you calling for? and he hung up. ye he was RUDE.

We have had several calls from a Josh and a John who say they are with Standard Distributors and have a shipment on their dock that we need to pick up or confirm.  They are not one of our vendors nor are they one of our shipping companies.  When we ask what kind of shipment and what is it, they say it is some kind of part we ordered.  The part they describe is nothing that we would have ordered.  Then they call back with the name Dan McCoy.  Same guy.  He doesn't even try to change his voice.  Does he think we are stupid?  I politely call him by whatever name he wants to go by and ask him who he wants to talk to.  He gives me two names of guys in our company.  How he got those names is beyond me.  Neither one of them want to talk to him, so I politely ask him if I can take a message.  He says he will call back later.  So far, he has not been rude as others say their caller is.  But I think we finally go rid of him.  My purchasing manager called him back on the numbers that were left by him.  Several times we got the voicemail is full.  One time someone picked up but then hung up without speaking. We finally got him on the phone. Amazing.  We asked him what it was that he had for us to pick up.  He got silent for a moment.  When asked again, he said never mind he had quashed the order.  When asked what order, he said again never mind he had quashed it and hung up.  I can't believe how these people think they can just get through by pretending they are good ol boys of the people in the company.  I wish there was a way to have them arrested, but they have a right to free speech and unless we were foolish enough to send them money, they really haven't done anything wrong.  They are just annoying jerks.

This fool just asked for me at my job! !!!  And was very rude.

Bill called and asked for the Maintenance Manager. When I asked what company he was with he gave me the name of Johnson Distributing. When I went and checked on our vendors he was not one of them (for our entire company). I informed him that we hadn't ever done business with them and he assured me that other offices did. I informed him that all of our supplies were handled for the year. He hung up.

Guy called and asked if we were a business we are not.  Then attempted to verify our address but had a street for a nearby town.  I asked who he was and he stated he was with the government and that he had to come do a electricity inspection.  I declined to give him info and he said he was going to shut us down.  I asked again who he was with and asked to speak with his supervisor.  He then went on a rampage about how I only make $10 per hour and that if I got laid more often I wouldn't be such a bi***!  WOW!  Reporting this fraud now!

Caller said he was an Electrician calling back, when I said the owner didn't call him he said "yes he did, tell him he should stop drinking so he remembers who he called" - very uncool!!

very rude- asked for Matt and when I told him he was no t here, he asked "is anybody in the office?" I answered "Yes me, How can I help you" he had already hung up!

Bob from Hunter called asking for the maintenance guy who left a message on his phone. Well, who called you, what number did they leave? Just get him.

After I asked him for more information, he asked for my name, I didn't give it.
Then he got upset and hung up.

Very rude and demanding.  Hung up on me when I told him the person he wanted to speak with was unavailable.

This guy just called and wanted to speak to the janitor.  I told him our janitor does not accept calls at work.  He got all huffy.  Said the janitor had called him, yet he didn't know the janitor's name.  And said that he had called him about the furnace.  Which is hilarious, considering it is June in the South and it's going to be 91 degrees today.  Believe me, we aren't concerned about a furnace! He was rude, which these people always are.  The staff here is well aware of these types of calls, and knows how to handle them.  It's sad that people have to behave this way just to (supposedly) make a living.  What a waste of time.

Earlier this year I had to deal with a couple of guys about "a delivery they have on their dock" for us.  Whatever.  Bunch of scammers.

Caller Gary Phaze with Standard. Ran through the information I am suppose to take before I am allowed to forward any calls. He was very rude when I asked the name of his company. He refused to answer when I asked him what the call was in regards to and yelled at me "you aren't going to find him asking me damn questions". I hung up.
