The saint is accurate and I have been posting similiar posts around websites to help inform people, I have also been getting these calls for years thanks to the ONE time I took out a payday loan, long ago.

If you aren't going to take legal steps because you are busy or whatever, at least do this one little thing:

CALL THEM BACK AND SCREAM AT THEM!  Cuss at them, act billigerent, everything you can to freak them out.  

They will take you off their list, at least for a long time.  This has worked for dozens of people I know.  If everyone would react this way, and flip the f*** out on them, they would likely stop.. No one would want to do that job.

Do it, consider it therapy if it makes it easier.  For now, its the only immediate way to fight back, and its easy!   :-)

Now today I have been getting 5 calls from 0000 number.  Pretty sure this is a scam i was searching for a loan on the internet at the end of june and calls started july first. I did call the number back and it just said the voicemail was full. I did get through a few days a go and he was stumbling over his words when i asked him what company he worked for he asked who is this, and i said tell me the name of your company . He refused to tell me i asked for a supervisor he said noone was available. This person said he needs me or my retain attorney to call because its extremely time sensitive. hotline 9492588181 He says if i don't return the call all he can do is wish me good luck as this situation unfolds upon me. goodbye and good luck. I saved the voicemails He left pretty sure this is a scam. He3 had that strong india accent. I told him when oi called back i was turning him in didn't give him my name. I figure if it waS REALLY A GOVERMENT OFFICIAL THEY WOULD KNOW IT WAS ME CALLING. aND I WOULD HAVE RECIEVED SOME SORT OF PAPERWORK BY NOW CONCERNING THIS MATTER. WILL GO TO AUTHORITIES WITH MY INFO SINCE THE NUMBER IS NOT LISTED HERE.

Get this this happen to me to today but I blew the number up for 40 mins and I will do it again so they dont get any calls they want to call me I have nothing to do but blow their phone up all day

this same number and company has been calling my work like 30 times a day and my cell. when i return the call no one knows whats going on.  and they are middleeastern and you can not understand them. he states that they are out of california.   does anyone know if this is real or what. i demanded them mail to my house the documents and they say they cant.  any suggestions?

I just received a call from Stacy Wilson Indian girl with a accent you know Stacy Wilson is not a Indian name, she threaten me that I owe a paid day loan and I need to pay her or I will be served to go to court she has all my information which is scary they call me on my cell phone and work number be aware of applying for anything online be a taking your information she new what bank I bank with and my address she said I received the loan in November 09 I didnt have account with this bank last year. I just open it please be aware, she got me hot and upset until I google the phone number plus another man with a accent using Marcus Williams be careful im going to close my account down.

i received a call today at my work the person gave his name as Jimmy Santana and to call him back at 909-744-5418.. saying i had a court date on Friday and to call him back to get the court i needed to go to.. They originally have been calling my cell phone from an unavailable number that comes up 44-198 or 209-753-4111 or a private number on my house phone.. I am being told that if you have not been served by a Process Server then its a scam .. and not to do anything.

I received a msg at work from some indian woman threatening me about a "case" that had been filed against me. i called later and spoke to a supervisor who threatened to send someone to arrest me at work for a debt (a debt that i have already paid thru another agency). they barely spoke english but had all my information. is this someone trying to scam money out of me for a debt that has already been paid? anyone have any  advice on how to get rid of these people??

i got a call from these people or shall i say SEVERAL times. they are bullying and demanding that i pay money for a pay day loan that i allegedly defaulted on. they keep calling and wont stop. they say the loan company is Cash Advance Payday loan. Isnt that the name of all the loans, i mean, thats what they are..
Seriously, the guy justin( something) and kevin( something) have heavy accents and barely speak english. Their place of business is called ACS.  What can you do to make them stop? I have contacted police, ftc and an attorney.

These people just called me at work also. Stating I owe on a pay day loan and when I asked the company they told me cashnet. I said well fine I will call them, he said there is no point in calling them because they will not be able to help. I said well I have to call them if they are the one filing the lawsuit.  Then he said it wasn't from them it was from quickcash.com.  I asked for his number and he asked why I said so I can get the money and call back.  Then I said I will get my lawyer to call he said well fine they will drag your references in first then me. He was trying to help me and now he is done he will do what he needs to and I will have to pay $5484.87 plus $2000.00 in court cost and the police will be up here soon to arrest me. Oh and they said they are not a company they are a Law Firm and I should be watching out for the police.

I keep getting these calls from these people that cant even speak english about a cash advance that i never recieved...my question is ...how did  they get my info...and how can i make them stop...I get calls from several different numbers ....this bs has to stop...

Same story, same people. I have recieved anywhere from 7 calls a day from the last month. The person will not identify who they represent and speak with a thick Indian accent. While in the past they have called from 330 numbers; they recently started calling from 911 which displays as "Emergency Number". I spoke to local authorities who advised me to contact my cell phone provider to possibly backtrack the number to a source. My provider was unable to do so but I encourage everyone to try through their provider. This seems to be a nation wide issue and is a possible phishing scam. The best thing to do is try to get their information and report it to local authorities. The issue is that if it is an outsourced call center in a different country then there is little they can do unless the parent corporation is located within the Continental United States (Conus). The only other option is to have your number changed.

Here is a list of all the numbers they have called me from so far. Keep in mind these are only the calls I have tracked for the last two weeks; they have been calling myself and my wife on two seperate numbers for about three months.

Ok, since typing this ather call from 866-226-3380 with a gentleman named Herman as you all have stated above. I told him unless they were all named herman to stop calling.. I have read your posts and have come to this conclusion... They use information you provide via the internet regarding credit and bank history and then throwing a name of one of the companies you have used and say that you owe them money. Disregard any and all calls from these people.

These people claim they have a criminal case against me and they are sending a warrant for my arrest. Every time i call to find out more some Indian sounding person hangs up on me and blocks my number.

wow I have been getting calls as well 1st call was a man with an Indian accent claiming that I am being investigated (Federal) and I need to call but at the end of the message he said good luck and god bless...strange. I saved the message but then erased it..And every day the same then he stopped...Then this morning a lady with and Indian accent giving a name of Lisa Ron stating that they would be officers at my job and I need to call to keep myself out of trouble and that I have 3 allegation with my ss number but was really hard to understand her..then when I called her back the message stated that her VM  was full then said there was an error and then cut me of I tried several time to call her back..number she gave is 909 744-5418...maybe we should report this to the police any one have any ideas?

Just today I got a call from 909-744-5418 and a man by the name of Jimmy Santana called several times saying I would be put in jail if I did not pay an outstanding loan.  He claimed to be from a law office and after I wouldn't make arrangements, he wanted me to fax over to him my debit card information so "I could avoid facing charges."  I have heard of these frauds before but he refused to give me any information on the date I made to the payday loan and what bank or account number this money was transferred to.  He had also claimed I would have 2 officers serve my papers in the morning.  After I hung up, my partner went on the internet to find out who was calling me and I found this web page.  Hope this not happen to anyone else.

I received the same message today in my work voicemail today. these guys have been calling my work, harrasing, threathning....

I received a call today, they called my work and cell.  I called the Mo hot line number, stated do not give them any information.  Can we do a lawsuit against these people?

sit back,relax and don't worry about it...you don't get arrested for a civil matter...its a scare tactic that sleazy debt collectors use.
most of all don't pay them and don't give them any info...if you owe monies call the original creditor and make payments with them...
there is one more thing  if this a payday loan there is 15 states where a payday loan is illegal if you happen to live in one of these states all you have to pay back is the original amount you borrowed you do not have to pay any of the interest...go to ask.com type in what states are illegal for a payday loan.
when they call you you let them know your only paying the original amount subtract any previous payments and pay the rest at your pace of course they will try to scare you but the law is on your side and if they asked if you knew it was illegal why did you borrow the monies...you say i just found out today about illegal payday loans...bottom line they will accept the original amount DONT FALL FOR THERE SCARE TACTICS..
you know what gets a debt collector made especially the indian ones when they try to scare you laugh very loud on the phone they then will curse you out and hang up on you and maybe never call you again but if they do call again just laugh at them another word just have fun with them

Contact your bank, the one that the payments are supposed to come out of.  Have them stop the payments.  You may have to close the account and open a new one.

Next time they call ask for proof that you owe the debt.  If they won't give you any hang up on them.

I HAVE BEEN RECIEVING THESE CALLS FOR MONTHS AND I WAS SO STUPID HE SAID I HAD TO PAY 968.00 DOL BUT I ONLY HAD 300 IN MY ACCOUNT I GOT SO SCARED ABOUT BEING IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW BECAUSE I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS SO I ENDED UP PAYING 300 DOL AND SET UP TO PAY THE REST AT A LATER DATE. BUT WHEN I TOLD MY FRIEND SHE TOLD ME THAT IT HAD TO BE A SCAM THE GUY HAD A INDIAN ACCENT WITH THE NAME DAVID JACKSON SO I NEVER MADE THE SECOND PAYMENT THANK GOD IT WAS A PREPAID CARD BUT THEY TOOK ME FOR 300 DOL.  AND NOW HE IS CALLIN ME HE JUST CALLED TODAY SAYING THAT I AM IN BIG TROUBLE AND THAT THERE WILL BE OFFICERS AT MY DOOR TO ARREST ME IN THE MORNING SO I LOOKED UP THE NUMBER AND SAW OTHER PEOPLE GETTING THE SAME CALLS. I got a call today from 909 744 5418 and the man said his name was mike brown with a very bad indian accent. he told me first that he had a lawsuit against me for illegally downloaded music then when i called him a liar he changed his story and said it was a payday loan website.when i asked who he worked for he said he was from the federal law firm and that if i didnt not send $300 by monday at 2:00 i had better be ready to show up in court on tuesday. when i told him i was not going to pay him or authorize him to take money from me, he began to state my address and my banks name. i told him i would not confirm any information since he was a scamer. he got very aggravated and said that the police would be coming to my house to arrest me. i began laughing at him telling him i was military and that i would be going to base legal and to see security forces. he then got very angry and and told me that i was not a member of the us military and that i was a terrorist. that aggravated me, i began laughing and told him to call me a terrorist when he can speak proper english. i then hung up and called security forces.

I began receiving phone calls from this number yesterday, on the main number at my place of employment.  The message said that it was Robert Mucuum calling from a law firm and I had a legal action against me.  If I did not return the call, they would be sending arresting officers to my home and place of employment.  I returned the call and spoke with a Stacey Wilson, who did not identify the name of the law firm, but went on to tell me that she received my name from Cash Advance and she repeated the threat of my arrest.  She said I needed to come up with $200 by 3:00 pm.  I did not return the call but asked that they not contact my place of employment.  They called me AGAIN today and left a message this time giving my full home address (again on the main phone number-for the receptionist to hear) again threatening my arrest.  I have since contacted the Attorney General's office and they are mailing a complaint form, but in the meantime, how do I stop these harassing calls?  I am scared stiff that my boss will get wind of this and I will be out of a job.

Some Indian-speaking person named Jason keeps calling my employment for me to deliver a message to someone else.  This company should be closed down or taught proper calling methods.  You do not both an non-involved person while they are working.

got a call from them tuesday aug 31 2010  left a message and said his name was robert mitchell or miller or mitchum couldn't understand him totally said my driving license would be cancelled my social security number blacklisted my bank account that they have listed would be closed (already closed) and a team of legal people will come get me from home or work and with penalties  he says would come close to 5500.00 it is a scam i don't owe anyone that kind of money even with penalties
