I am paying .20 to receive a text from these telemarketers telling me I have won a free gift card of $1,000.  I , like others, have not been in Best Buy and have not entered any contest.  It is shameful that our representatives in Congress know of our displeasure about the telemarketing industry, but do nothing to shut these people down.  Being on a Do Not Call List is not a deterrent, if your cell phone provider is the one selling your phone number to these scammers!  I shall be letting Verizon know what I think of this practice.  I should not have to up date a Do Not Call List every 90 days.  Ridiculous!  It is time for the Attorney Generals to unite and file law suits on behalf of US consumers.

Got this text message at 4:04am (thanks for the early wake-up, jerks!!!), & it's the same story as others. One note is that they seem to have changed the address in the text, it said to go to 'BestBuyContests.com'. Thanks a LOT, verizon!!!  Those of us on the plan for 250 messages/month will soon be going over due to unwanted messages like this.

HOW CAN WE STOP THESE TYPES OF MESSAGES AND PHONE CALLS.

I received a text at 10:35 pm.  I am registered on the do not call registry.  I've reported the text on that site and have added spam blocking at my cellular service.

The text was a "go to bestbuy.com and enter this pin number to receive a free $1000 gift card".

Got the same text as mentioned above at 3am. Went to the site but thought it was a bit odd the countdown timer was at 4 min 59 sec when the text gave a 24 hour response window. Closed browser and opened link again, sure enough timer had restarted at 4 min 59 sec. Stinks of scam.

Got the same message just a few minutes ago.  Obvious SCAM.  I wish the government would/could  kick these jerks that do this kinda stuff out of the country-- maybe to Libya or something?

It would seem that this would cost the sender alot since I don't know anyone dumb enough to respond to something they KNOW they did not request!!!

I have not shopped at Best Buy in years, nor have I ever entered my cell # in any contest forms  ... further more I KNOW they don't do contests like this.

Knew it was a SCAM, just wish the people doing this could be caught and punished.

I received a text from this number saying i won a bestbuy gift card for $1000.00 i went to the website and they wanted credit card information. If i won why would i need to CC information. SCAM!

If this was real i think it would have a code longer then four numbers.

Received a text from this number at 4:01 a.m. informing me I had won a $1000 gift card from Best Buy and to go to a website to claim it.  Well you have to know I jumped right on that opportunity after being so happy they woke me up.  NOT!  The individuals making these types of calls need to have their phones surgically implanted where the sun don't shine.

I went to www.BestBuyRaffle.com and it was immediately redirected to http://951ps.com/index.html. This is supposedly 951 Powersports in Ontario, CA. I think they are scamming us.

I just got the same message on my cell claming that I won a gift from Best Buy.

I also got a call from 9098777749 but when I went to web site my comp said warning malware alert could damage my comp. Please find this group and stop them.

I got the same $1000 BestBuy thing except they sent it to me a couple of times at like three in the morning i didnt do anything figured it was a scame looked up the number and it was in california plus what company would send something like that at that kind of hour
