I received text this morning from above number "Your entry last month has WON! Go to TargetContest.net and enter your winning code 84758 to claim your FREE $ 1000 Target gift card within 24 hours. Returning the originating phone number I received a VERY strange recording having nothing to do with Target or contests. Where are they obtaining my phone number?

Sunday 4:30 received text " Your entry last month WON! Go to targetcontests.com and enter code 2912 to claim your FREE $1000 Target gift card within 24hrs.
I alway look up this crap under scam. So wish I could do something to stop these types of people

Recieved txt that says "Your entry last month WON! Go to targetcontests.com and enter code to claim your FREE $1,000 target gift card within 24 hrs"
SCAM! I never entered any $1000 target contest because they don't exist!
Go to the site and read the privacy policy. All they want to do is sell your info to a 3rd party so that they can telemarket you too. The code is like an acceptance that it is indeed your number and it verifies it and stores it so they can sell it.

Follow up on this scam: first I forwarded the message to 7726, which will be sent to my phone carrier for investigation. Then I filed a complaint with the FCC. Both are very simple to do. There are a million scams out there and they need to be stopped.

November 23, 2012 received text message saying I has winning entry and to go to TargetContests.com and enter a colde to claim $1,000 gift card. What a scam. I don't understand how these people keep getting away with this crap.

This is a phone scam. It will say you won a $1,000 gift card from Target. And to go to Target.Contest.com with in 24 hours to claim your card.
