Don't answer unknown calls but the 800-979-5645 number left a message. First part was cut off witch tells me it was a recording. A guy names Robin was talking about getting medical coverage for me and my family for only $99.99 a month. Called the number back to see who answers and the number is disconected, less than 1 min after the message was lest.

Same for me.  Called me just a minute ago.  I don't answer nos I don't recognize, either.  Anyway, they didn't leave a message and I got the recording that it was disconnected when I tried to call back to see who it was.

My daughter got the call on her phone. she is 13 heard only the parts she wanted. by the time i got the message it was child services calling. More investigating led me to a disconnected number. finally after much prying apparently it had to do with insurance. seems they would be more aware of who they are calling. The phone is on my nieces contract who is 17. go figure.

Recorded message claiming to be about my credit cards.  Claiming to be wanting to help me lower my rates, amount due, etc.

Hung up when I answered.

Received call from (800) 979-5645, which was a recording from a female stating her name was Ashley and my credit cards were in serious need of assistance; to get assistance press 1.

When pressing 1, got a male subject who asked if I wanted to lower my ineterest rates.  When I asked him if he was aware they were calling a State Agency, he hung up.

Tried calling the caller id number of (800) 979-5645 back, received recording that the number was no longer in service.

This is a Scam; if you get a call from this number, do not answer phone.

They were talk about a health insurance plan...

Got a call about credit cards, pressed option "0" for live person, and got a rude lady saying that they were trying to get a financial department by dialing hundreds of numbers to the question why were they calling me as it is an internal company's phone number  and no one near me doesn't do anything with any finances. So that sounded really dump and she got all offensive when I told her that they are just scammers. Hung up on her and could hear her going off... lol

I tried to dial back the number caller id displayed, but it was disconnected, so it is definitely some SCAM...

Got a call from this number, it was a skype-in phone number they called. As previous poster said, in my case it was an offer to lower credit card rates.

I don't know who it was; I just don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize.  They didn't leave a message.  Called 9:30 AM 06/18/09.

I received three or four calls on my home phone and one on my cell phone.
They said they were with Credit Card Services and started to continue but I just hung up each time.  We are on the no call list so my question is:  why was this telemarketer able to call us in the first place?  We do not want to be bothered with such calls.

Press '2' to have your phone # removed when I pressed 2 nothing happened. Also tried to erase the number from my phone and it would not allow me to.

I got a call from them today. Answered & they hung up on me. Like most, I tried calling back & it was disconnected.

i got one call but 2 voicemails, one was this girl, i couldnt really make out what she was saying and then another from a cc company.

I think my Yahoo Email page gave them my cell-phone number. Because they have called me a couple of times this week and they never ask for my real name instead they ask for the name from an old e-mail address I haven't used in years.

As everyone should already know DO NOT give personal info to anyone that contacts you. Ask them for their info and call them back or go directly to their website not via any link. This smells of phish.

I got this call on my cell phone. I didn't answer it. They didn't leave a voice mail.

It's an identity theft scam..I asked them what company they represent and they hung up...tell them nothing.

Got this call yesterday... confused because I'm POSITIVE that I made all of my payments on time. Didn't get a voicemail or anything... How annoying!

This credit card scam is very annoying. I'm on the Do Not Call Registry and this is the second time they've called my cell phone. I pressed '2' the first time to be removed from their list. This is just like the Auto Warranty scam that used to call me and from what I have read here, they operate about the same too.

got a call and left no message.. looks like some spam call. is there a way to inform cellular carrier to blcok these kind of number?
