This guy told me i needed to renew my car and i actually talked to him and gave him my nymber... now they will keep on callign me. is it a spam?

Received 5 calls to my MagicJack phone.  These guys are Scum bags.

strangest phone number...I have gotten the call 2 times and it is the same.When they ask for the details on my automobile I respond by saying Well, if you are calling to remind me about my warranty you should already have the info. Then they hang up.I realized after typing this that it is coming  thru the internet/ethernet calling...sip being satelitte internet provider. I could be wrong.

JUST HANG UP !!!

So why can this company still operate?  What happened to the "do not call" list that I'm supposed to be on?  I'm not as worried about myself being scammed, I'm just tired of the scam calls, but I am worried about my mother who is 83 and gets these same calls.

Called saying they have been attempting to contact me about renewing my warranty, and that this was their last 'courtesy call'.  I talked to two people, the first asked about some details of my car, and the mileage.  He then handed me off to the 'Finance guy', who checked the account, said the first guy did something wrong, and fixed it. Then started going over payment options for renewing my warranty.

As soon as I pointed out that he called me and I didn't know if he was who he said he was, and asked him to send me documentation in the mail, and told him I couldn't make any decision without first consulting my wife (I wasn't going to make any decision over the phone), he got very irate and said he would 'simply make the decision for me', and 'closed my account', then immediately hung up.

Calling the number back gets a "we're sorry, this number is..." recording.

Never answered.

Daily calls!! When I answer it's about renewing the warranty on my vechile before it runsout......hmm, I have no warranty seeing I drive a 92 used and beat up vechile!! How do I get such calls to stop??

scam do not give out any information over the phone or computer un less trusted site or caller.
asked for a large downpayment asked first for $1.000.,then $600.,then $300.
I said, I will let it expier then they hung up.

caller wants to offer a warranty for our cars . explained we are not interested. we are on the do not calllist. when you look this number 9098428155 reverse lookup it is unpublished land line in ontario calif. we have told them we do not need warrenty and not intereted still call and wait to see if we pick up the phone and yell on the ans. machine hello as if we will pick up

yeah, it's a scam, and you get the run around... give him a phony credit card.....or an old one and say it was stolen....i'm tired of this crap

Caller pitched car warranty renewal, then asked detailed information about the owner's car. Owner told the caller if they know there's a warranty, they should know the information already. The telemarketer/phony telemarketer then hung up. Automatic callback failed. Effort to call them back from the number on caller ID yielded a recording.

Please do not call my phone anymore.
I do not want to renew the warranty on my car.
My car is a lease & is under warranty.
