It stated that I had one a 1,000.00 gift card from BestBuy. Had an e-mail address to follow up on within 24 hours of getting message. Big scam probably trying to steal something from my info Idk but do nothing but ignore these messages and delete them.

I recieved a text saying that I had won a $1000 gift card from Best Buy. I went and put in the code but I did not enter my e-mail address, I hope I will not be scammed by entering that code. has anybody else done this and know anything about the scam so I will know whyat to look for?

Same as the others, text message asking me to go to BestBuyWin.net and enter 5555 as my code. I knew it was a scam because I'd read an article online about it, and because I don't typically go to Best Buy, I knew I hadn't entered anything or even purchased anything there in the past month. My question is, when it is known that these people are running scams that are illegal, unethical and hurtful to unsuspecting people, why can't they be stopped?
