Suspicious number on caller ID. Long silence, then a hang up. Must be a telemarketing Mime.

Ok, I have the same issue with this mistery # (909) 999-9999. I had a vm left from a friend who was dodging my calls, to her. I woke up and saw my vm icon, but first I checked my call log, n there were no missed calls/no new or dif #s on the caller ID. I found that strange, so I checked the vm message n found, it was her leaving me a belated bday message. It was as if she didn't want me to b able to say, she never called, but also wanted to make sure I didn't answer the call, for her to have to actually talk to me. Well I pressed the option to return the senders call, n it resited that 909# b4 dialing it, then I got a busy signal. This was so bizzar. So I figured out how she made that phantom call, going straight to vm. She called the messaging center # of my cell network to bypass actually calling me n having my phone ring. But as far as the number she called from, to avoid me knowing how to return her call, all I can figure, is that she called my vm message center, using a spoof card that rerouted her call from the real #, to this 909#. Funny thing is, I saved the message n tried returning the call again a few days later, n that option was no longer available, as the spoof that she used most likely is an ever changing route. Very trippy, n this just shows that there will always be ways for people to deceive you. Not to mention the fact that people can now, track, hack and tap into our cell phones. Location, contacts, texts and even listen to your conversations. Technology is just like any other power...it can help our civilization, or destroy us. When will we ever be able to feel safe or truly protect our privacy? Good luck to everyone that shares the same thorns in your sides!
