Police are investigating it so please don't answer it because they like to ask for money and will keep calling you.

This is a fake number apparently also being used for scams. Ottawa police in Canada released this statement today (July 7, 2012):
(Ottawa)?Today, the Ottawa Police received several 9-1-1 calls from residents who had been
contacted by someone saying that they need to pay a fine or the police will be sent to their
residence. Typically the caller will direct the person to make payment using a money wiring
service.
The fraudster is using a call display number such as 1-911-111-1111. This is a ?spoofed? or masked number likely from the internet and did not originate from the Ottawa Police or any other police service.
This type of call is a scam. In no circumstances the Ottawa Police or any other police agency would call to collect fines or law suits. Do not send money. Simply hang up.
Should you receive such a call, or for more information about mass marketing frauds, please contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Center toll free from Monday to Friday 1.888.495.8501 or by e-mail at info@antifraudcentre.ca

I got a call from this number today. I don't know who they are but it is obviously a scam as there is no 911 area code so they must be using a computer program to fake their number on the call display. Anyone who has to hide behind a fake phone number is almost certainly a criminal and no one any of us want to have any contact with.

I received a call from this number 911-111-1111. I didn't answer because I had no time, they didn't leave a message. Anybody knows, who was it?!
