These calls ARE from Personhood Oklahoma. I do not know if this group is actually BASED in Kansas (which is not beyond possibility) or if they simply contract with a calling service which is LOCATED in Kansas. Either way, unfortunately, the National Do Not Call Registry still allows calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors are still permitted. As well, the Oklahoma Telemarketer Restriction Act has exceptions for calls from charitable or religious groups, calls for political candidates and causes, calls for not-for-profit organizations organized under 501(c)(3) of the IRS code, live calls to arrange a face-to-face meeting between a sales person and consumer, or calls from telemarketers or businesses with whom the consumer has an established business relationship.

What bothers me most is that most companies, even if not subject to either of these regulations, will allow you the ability to opt out of receiving future phone calls. This organization does not. I have received 3 phone calls today about the failure of the Personhood Bill in the Oklahoma House.

This complaint is not about the morality of the issue, it is about the manner in which the issue is being communicated. Shame on Personhood Oklahoma.

OBVIOUSLY this call most likely did NOT originate from Personhood Oklahoma since the (913) area code does not exist within the State of Oklahoma.  It does not even make sense to me WAS Personhood call:

None of their advised actions were congruent with positive steps for the Question to be placed before the people of Oklahoma on November's ballot.  Every aspect of caller's tone and 'insights' were counterproductive to the point of leaving myself and my husband questioning whether they were actually 'wolves in sheep clothing.'  

I have since sent an inquiry to the Administrative in Personhood Oklahoma seeking their confirmation, either way.  It was a most offensive, counter-productive, and mean-spirited call.  I'm not going to just automatically decide it was Personhood Oklahoma caller, or not - either way.  I'm waiting to hear back.

Will update with whatever they respond upon receipt of their response.  Let's find out the truth first before we conclude anything either way.
