They have called me and asked for my personal info multiple time and when asked "in what regards?" they say "personal/business matters" SPAM SPAM SPAM DO NOT RELEASE PERSONAL INFO.

THEY BEGAN CALLING MY NUMBER AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN  WAKING UP ME MY WIFE AND OUR  GRANDCHILDREN MANY , MANY TIMES  AND HANGING UP IN THE DAYS  . FINALLY I GOT TO THE TELEPHONE SOON ENOUGH TO  ANSWER THE TELEPHONE ONCE . I  HEARD MUCH NOISE IN THE BACKGROUND  AND  SAID  HELLO  HELLO  HELLO . THEN A LADY  ANSWERED AND GAVE THE TELEPHONE TO A BAD  MAN WHO TRIED TO TELL ME WHO HE THOUGHT I WAS AND WANTED ME TO SEND HIM MONEY HE THOUGHT I OWED HIM . I LISTENED AND HE GOT UPSET AND MORE UPSET . MY FAMILY AND I ARE  ONLY HERE IN USA  FOR  TWO MONTHS, AND ALL OUR FAMILIES BILLS WERE PAID BEFORE WE LEFT TURKEY . WE TAKE CARE OF OUR GRANDCHILDREN AND OUR CHILDREN ALL WORK AT THEIR JOBS. I CALLED BACK AND AFTER ASKING MANY TIMES FINALLY  SOMEONE SAID IT WAS KANSAS COUNSELORS INCORPORATED AND ASKED WHO I WAS . THEY CALL ME AND DO NOT EVEN KNOW  ME.

Kansas Counselors - Debt Collection. My daughter is on Medicaid, as is my Grand daughter. The State of Missouri screwed up the newborns ID card 4 times so there is one office call ($35) that they never filed correctly. I have forwarded all the information to the Physician's office as well as KS Counselors. They still continue to harass. I have call blocker (free app) and my phone doesn't even ring anymore when they call. They are on the UNIVERSAL BLACK LIST. That ought to tell you something.....sad

They called for my wife, but let me take the call.  Then transferred me to someone else.  They indicated they were debt collectors. I confirmed our name, then they wanted our address.  I said "what address do you have?" and asked who they were collecting for.  I said I didn't owe anyone any money.  They said I needed to verify my address.  I said that I didn't even know who they were and had no intention of verifying anything until they told me why they were calling.  She hung up on me.

Does that even make sense if they had a legitimate claim?  Sounds like the posts above have these folks pegged right.

I got a call today. Women asked for me and then said hold. You have a personal call.
Then a women said i had to pay a bill that I didn't pay in 2010. I then said I have never received any bills at all. She said that I did in 2010 and all year in 2011. I told her I never received any, she then says I did and unfortunately alot of people say that they don't get them. I told her i wanted a physical copy of the bill and she said she already sent one in 2011 and refused to send one. Then she said I could pay over the phone. I told her I wanted a physical copy of the bill, which shouldn't be a problem. She refused and then said ima put down here you refused to pay and then hanged up.

How can our government allow them to call us and harass us. I am under doctors care. My son is disabled. I don't need the stress it causes me.....

The women called me the first few time and left a voice mail - For John - a few week ago, something about coming over to let out her dogs, while she was away - ???

The Second time I answered the phone - I told this women I received this Cell phone number as my new life line number and I only had it less than a month, and for her to please remove this cell number from her phone.

By then I received a few text messages - one from this guys friends to come over to play poker, another one from the Belton Mo, Municipal court, For Mr. John Clayton Roach For an upcoming court date.

So yesterday Aug 28, 2013 about 3:47 P.M. - a phone call from 913-284-7569: I rejected it, and they left a voice mail also for this guy - Mr. John Clayton Roach -
They also left a message for me to call back and this was a debt collector and another personal one tacked on it, for this Mr. John Clayton Roach. in plain violation of Federal Debt Collection laws.

This woman also had called my Mom on her land line the weeks before trying to get personal info out of her for some cancer donation and it Sounded fishy back then to me anyway. Not once mind you but two times.  My Mom is elderly and easy target to be scammed. ( Poor John Lost his Life Line Number and I got stuck with his Problems) So as you can see - I am lousing my Air time since I only get 200 Minutes per month, and I am not happy with this dumb bill collector, eating up my air time and leaving stupid phone messages for me to call them back ????

They shod get a Bill from me - Like me to take them to Court - and Have the JUDGE REMEDY it to make me hole - Lets see - since my life line phone has no block on it - maybe they should buy me a new smart phone like the Microsoft Nokia phone with unlimited phone minutes and Windows 8 Data unlimited for about Five years all pre-paid up, should do the trick..... This number calls all the time - it's Kansas Counselors and I have forwarded the PAID information three times and have reported them to the AG.....a***oles using totally illegal tactics - REPORT THEM EVERY TIME!

Debt collector! They don't give you any information because they don't want you to hang up before they get a chance to connect with you. I just asked them to mail me a letter with the specifics because I don't recognize the medical bill they are wanting to collect on. They had no problem doing so and said we would go from there. A woman asked for me by name and then put me on hold because she had a 'personal call' for me. I was put on hold and was then connected to an employee attempting to make a collection.

It is illegal for them to call you at work.  So, the next time they call -- or if you have proof that they've called you at your work number -- keep a record of the call. An affidavit from your employer will work, too. Then, contact an attorney.  Not only will you not have to pay whatever the bill is that they called about, they will have to pay YOU money for violating the fair debt and collection laws.

I get the same thing and they never leave a message so I don't bother calling them back

I got another rude call from the clowns the other day. They are Kansas Counselors, a collection agency. The jack*** called me a bumb and irresponsible. I finally got enough of it, got in my car and drove from KC, MO to Lenexa KS to their location. When I went inside I asked for the moron who  called. He came up and I verified it was him. Then I beat the living s*** out of him right there. Now call me again with your smart mouth a** hole..

I finally got a message today, and I could hardly understand it. My voice-mail to text said "Call Me", but there's voices in the background, and a whisper that says "call me". It was kind of freaky, but I'm definately not calling back.

When they do get you on the phone, they use extreme bullying to try to pressure you into paying them, they're just horrendous to deal with ... one rep (despite over a year of unemployment and medical issues) wanted to know what kind of "games" I was playing and kept calling me a liar and cheat.  It was disgusting.  They now have another medical bill and call several times a day, I have my phone set now to send their call straight to voice mail.

I received a call from them yesterday. My phone rang only one time and there was no message. I also looked up the name of this company based on what I have found on this list, and everything is submitted online. This looks suspicious to me. There is NO type of phone number to contact them when you look at their website. All it would take is for someone to submit their info and then have no way of knowing whether it was received or not.

Well this is all making sence now, I ended up in the Hospital ER down in Kansas city last June, and have not started paying any of my bills yet.

Actually, you'll always owe a debt if you dont pay it.  Period.  However, there is a statute of limitations that differ from state to state, limiting how long a creditor has to pursue you for the debt.   Missouri has a limit of 10 years (not 5) on written contracts and promissory notes. -  You can get a better understanding of this by going to http://credit.about.com/od/statuteoflimitations/a/entirestatesol.htm  -   and be careful about paying on a dormant account.... that starts the clock all over again, and can actually provide the creditor with MORE time to pursue (or sue) you for the debt.

Sorry i was mad. They will act like someone important is calling and put you on hold what put me on hold thats nervey and then you get this the guy sounds like he is on something. they are so rude!

They have a agent say is this ...your name... and then tell you they have call for during work hours. rude annoying and would cost me my job it crap I dont see why they dont get closed

As others have noted, this a a debt collection company with very rude employees.  On the rare occasion you can actually get one on the phone, it's been my experience that they won't bother to listen to what you have to say - so no point even trying to reason with these people.  My advice would be to seek out some of the excellent articles and advices others have written about cease & desist letters and other ways to fight back against unfair debt collectors.

I will be sending these jokers a Cest & Desist letter ASAP.  Works like a law should.
