got this call today and I didn't answer it. Because the caller ID said; Unavailable.  So, after reading several messages online about this phone number. I decided that it might be a scam. I do really think it is a scam.

They said they were a veteran's charity, trying to raise money for something that had to do with providing soldiers in Iraq communication with home. They talked me into giving them my credit card number for a $20 donation. Thinking back on their claims, I realized that nothing they said could be confirmed (i.e. website), and I had no logical reason to trust them. The next day I called the bank and had them cancel my card, just in case. There had been no "new" charge at that point (16 hours later). Still don't know if they were legit.

5-7-09 (Thursday) Received a blank phone mesage at 4:42 this PM, phone listed as "Unknown Name".  I called the number and a recording identifies it as the Kansas Veterans of Foreign Wars fundraising efforts -- I suppose Unknown Name is given so one doesn't know who they are or represet.  I put a block on the number.
