This number calls me about 10 plus times a day. They never leave a message. I want this number blocked. It is a nuisance calling repeatedly everyday for few weeks

This number calls my home and cell numerous times a day including saturday and sunday.  They start as early as 7:30 and as late as 10:45.  Crazy and annoying.  They will not leave a message.

Calls my phone and my elderly parents phone continuously all day long even after being told repeatedly wrong number!!!

getting calls from this number but when I pick up there is nobody there and it's like they hung up without saying anything.
it's very irritating as I work for a busy office in a school district.

Never had a cc with these people, yet they wanted my SSN etc. to open my new account, and they were Indian with a very hard to understand at times dialect.

Calls to mobile multiple times/day.  No messages. Called back and offices closed no ID on the offices.

call from 913 563-5510, said,"this is not a sales call please hold on". after 30 seconds they come on and say hello. after i say hello, they will not respond. i have gotten real angry with this outfit but they keep calling for kimberly parker(not her number). real a***oles!!!

This number calls the Dr office that I work at several times a day. When I answer there is a pause then a clicking sound but no one ever replies. I keep hanging up on it but it is so annoying that it takes time from my day. I wish there was a way to block unsolicited calls.

The call lists the number, but the identity is "Unknown Caller".  They leave no message.

I got a call from this number and nobody on the other end.  I do not have an ann taylor credit card so no clue why they are calling me.

Send them a "cease and desist" letter and they can no longer call you.  Here is a sample letter

Make sure you have the correct address of the debtor. If the calls are coming from a debt collection company, send the same letter to both the debtor and the collection company.
This letter will also prevent them from contacting any family members about your debt. They get this information from the form you fill out when you applied for the credit or went to a hospital/doctor. There is usually an area that asks for an "emergency contact".
Make sure you sign and date the letter.
Make sure you keep a copy of the letter.
It is suggested that the letter best sent "certified" so that you have a signature when it is received, but I just sent it regular mail and they got it.
Make sure you type you name in the letter and physically sign above that.

ITS FROM WORLD FINACIAL BANK, I TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS MY 14 YEAR OLD SON THEY WERE LOOKING FOR AND ASKED WHY AN ADULT IS IS CHASING DOWN A CHILD AND THAT CHILD MOLESTERS OR STALKERS WILL GO TO JAIL FOR A LONG LONG TIME!

Whoever these criminals are, I intend to prosecute them and file suit. Are you reading this criminals? WFNNB or whatever name you have you are criminals, terrorists!

I just got a call from this number and they were looking for a Marguerite. When I told the girl she had the wrong number she hung up on me. My Uncle lives in area code 913 so I thought it was him calling me.

I just received the third call TODAY from this number.  They are asking for someone that no longer lives here and I have explained this to them every time they have called; today is not the first instance.  How do I go about blocking this number and at what point does it become harassment??

this people calling to disturb you in your sleep even on my cell phone looking for someone i don't even know of or heard of. is there anything i can do to stop them from the numerous calls

Trying to reason with these people will do you no good if they are calling looking for someone else that owes them money.The point of them calling you is to either have you give up the person they are looking for, or to get you to put pressure on the persone they are looking for to get them to pay up. You need to send them a cease and desist letter certified/return receipt. Look on line for a sample cease and desist letter to credit card collection agencies. There are plenty of them, and if you don't have a reference or case number, simply put "Re: Your calls to XXX-XXX-XXXX" in the subject line. Put in the text of the letter that you do not have any outstanding debt, nor do you know anyone that has any outstanding debt. Once they get the letter, they can try to contact you one more time, then they have to stop.

They are still calling...they have a wrong number, looking for a "Kelly Morgan" - whom we've never heard of and don't know. I told them I've reported them to the FCC and their reply was a sarcastic, "Ma'am, you do whatever you have to do."  I've called 2 800 numbers for them and they won't take us off their call list.  

They seem to represent a broad range of businesses, none of which pertain to us.

I have been getting calls from these people for two weeks, and they have a WRONG NUMBER.  I have been given the run around with trying to get them to take us off their call list. They keep calling for someone named Kelly - we don't know any Kelly's.  They also said they are Citicards, National Cards and Ambassador Cards.  They gave me two 800 numbers to call as well: 800-332-1651 and 800-282-7541 (voice mail only at the latter number). They tried to tell me I have to write them a letter to get off their list. I said no, how about you take me off the list & I don't report you to the FCC and whichever other agencies I can find to report phone abuse!

This number is from WFNNB (World Financial Network National Bank).It is NOT a third party collection agency - if you ignore their calls esp. if you have a credit card with a business they deal with (and you should know that because your billing statement should WFNNB on it) it will turn into that. This bank deals with numerous credit cards - including Ann Taylor - the calls come to my home phone numerous times a day - with this extension or just "unknown caller" and/or "unknown name". Too bad you can't block the "unknown caller/unknown numbers" at least I can't with my phone service - I can just block "Private". These people call even after you speak with one of the representatives and tell them they have the wrong person and phone number!!!! Sorry - but I am not paying a bill for someone else. I have received calls from a third party collection agency for some other person I have never heard of on my cell phone and told the rep that I talked to that if they did not remove my number from the info they had on this person I never heard of that I would take my complaints to a higher level. The rep stumbled over words and said I wouldn't have to do that and said the number would be removed immedicately and I haven't heard from those people since. There is a law protecting the little people against harrassing creditors - even if you truly owe the money.

Call at 8:40 am today (Jan 19,2008) on a Sat. Answering machine pickes up and they just hang up. Called ID says Kansas City, Ks. I was afraid it was someone from my ex's family telling me the ill brother passed away and I google it to see who and see all these reports of "so called collection agencies". My guess is they are looking for my ex also and I will not be responsible fro his past bills. When they find him, tell him I want my 60,000 dollars worth of past due child support why you collecting you small bill!

When the call was picked up, the other end was silent. When we said "hello" again, there was a sudden gasp and the caller hung up.
