I also received messages from this number. and also two others with the same style of texting. The other numbers were 646-504-9359 and 518-328-4957. Trying to sell my ASUS G46VW Pro Gaming Laptop and he offered way more than retail + shipping... the last one he sent me He asked me the current price and i said "$1,000,000 you can offer more if you want." And I'm in Canada, so all these texts are considered international.

Same kind of call from 913-674-9657 to day Nov 14/13 for an item I was selling on kijiji.  offered way more money to ship to wife overseas and said he was on a business trip.  kijiji is strictly for selling to people you meet in person.

Same as above for an ad I have posted on Kijiji.  Offering twice the amount as the list price.  I reported the number.

Same with me, im selling my galaxy s4 for $600, he did offer me 600+250 for shipping, then i knew right a way that he wants to rip me off!! I did reply saying few nice worlds about himself.
600+250 is 850... Stupid i***t could safe $100 going to a store and buy it there...

This time he is buying a camera off of me and ask me to ship to Nigeria. Never negotiated the price and is willing to pay double after I raised my price. I know he is a scam right away. Who buys a camera ship to overseas without asking for any condition of the item? dumb!

So selling a phone on Craigslist wants me to ship it hrs giving me $350 for it via western union I gave him all old info just to see what happens. I ain't shipping s*** lol.

Just got a text from this person after posting something on Kijiji.  I replied this and never heard back from him:

If you're not in NB and plan to pay this with PayPal then forget about it.  I don't know where area code 913 is but if you can't send me a certified check then leave me alone.  I was an internet sales manager before and I am familliar with all your overseas scams.

Well, not really since I knew the type as soon as he said he needed the wedding bands shipped to NY. So I kept entertaining myself with this clown until I got bored.

Anyways, he/she is a con artist and people should be aware.

Shame on him to bring trust into a deal just so we can lean in on trusting him with the purchase.

Quite the scammer.  Said he wanted to buy expensive electronic equipment,  to ship "OVERSEA"  to his spouse.  Said he'd use Western Union,  and,  get this,  I would only get an email confirmation of his payment and I wouldn't get the MTCN number until I provided the tracking #!

So,  I would've shipped it,  and probably got a phony MTCN number from them!

Seriously,  someone needs to shut this person down. Too bad he doesn't know how to earn an honest living,  he has to be a  criminal & try to steal from others.  Good job mate. What goes around,  comes around!

Got a reply from this number less than an hour after posting a Kijiji ad, thought it was kind of fishy.  Noticed in the text message "Buying it to my spouse in (ABROAD) as she is presenting it to somebody as a gift".

Stupid idiot couldn't get his software to read the variable for a random country.  It's an automated system that waits until you give it the information it's looking for before continuing.

Same exact thing happened to me people. It seemed fishy so I researched the # online and saw all these complaints on the person doing this!!!

Just got the same text message from this person on PSP add on kijiji, broken english, wanting me to send it (ABROAD), i think he forgot to replace abroad with somewhere abroad. I replied with a no, cash only answer and he said she needed it urgently, so i then replied that i was gonna report it somewhere, anywhere so maybe even a few people don't get fooled by this A-hole.

i too have received texts about a camera - very strange demanding texts about getting my paypal info. this led to unintelligible conversations.

Same as dudders, got a text about an expensive item on kijiji for a family member as a gift to be shipped over seas.  Be careful........

This guy just texted me for a tv to be shipped overseas (buying for a family member).  Seriously do you think that I'm going to put a 55" television in a container for $50.00?  Watch this guy!

same number just tried the tactic on me via text on an item i posted on kijiji. I responded item was being sold locally and no paypal or out of country shipping is done. Good idea to google the number and set some 'firewalls' on sale items.

Same deal, found my add on kijiji and played the "don't know english well" card. Walk away...

This person txted me about an item I had for sale on Kijiji, asked me to mail it to Nigeria, I got everything set up, paid for postage and has the package at the post office, awaiting interac confirmation number to release the funds, turns out to be a bogus interac website, using all their contacts and web layout was very crafty, I luckily had enough time to race down to post office to stop package from being sent, wrote abusive txt back, he/ she claims no idea why it didn't work! Always google the person who is trying to contact you, chances are they have scammed someone else and that person has read about it, I hope these scammers get what they deserve, karma is a bi***!
