recieving a call from this number stating his name is steve austin.  ive called back and asked who he was with and he will not respond to that question unless i tell him my name.  anyone else recieve this call from this number?

There was a bill I have that I completely forgot about.  The company turned it into collections.  Which I don't blame the company for doing so.  John Law, from Credit Management Services called me today 6/02/08 asking me to pay this.  Let me tell you this is the first time that I heard of this company and from this guy.  I told him to call me back in a couple of days and I will make a payment.  He started to ask me personal questions like am I single.  I said these are personal questions and have nothing to do with my bill owed.  He said he needed this information to show his boss just to show that I have good intentions on paying this bill.  I said no, call me in a couple of days.  He started yelling at me and said that he does not believe in a single word that I said and that I am a piece of sh*t and that he is coming after me.  Then he hung up.  

I tell you what if this guy is a serial rapist or something I am going after Credit Management Services for letting creeps like this have access to our personal information.  

His phone number came up as private on my caller id, but he gave me the following information:  He told me Mission, KS instead of Shawnee Mission, KS.    If found that by doing a web search.

I filed a report with the FTC.  This guy has broken some of the rules and has threatened me.  I have no problem paying the bill and I gave him no indication that I was not going to pay it.

A guy named Dave called me several times leaving only his name and phone number. Being a single mother I do not call people back who do not identify themselves properly. Finally, after multiple phone messages I returned the call after hours and left a message. I spoke with Dave two days later. Dave asked very personal questions: if I was single, where I worked, what my salary is, when I get paid, what major credit cards I have etc. When I didn't want to give him personal information he was very upset and said that he thought "I was being cooperative and there would be trouble". I told him that I was unaware of the debt and needed to contact the business owed to see what happened with insurance.

I talked to the business I owed money to and it was an insurance failure and we began to work on it together. They contacted their offices by email and several days later by phone where they were told that I was a liar and wouldn't pay them their money if insurance sent the check to me. They then told them that they couldn't stop the calls once they begin - how can you not stop your own company calling someone and harrassing them.

I then received another message from Dave and called him back to explain that I was working with the company and insurance to correct the problem. Dave started yelling at me saying that "They called this morning and said that I was a big fat liar and they wanted their money now and they don't believe your insurance story" he closed by saying that I needed to put it on a credit card right now or else! I said that I wouldn't be doing that and before I could finish my sentence Dave was screaming at my at the top of his lungs (I have NEVER been screamed at like that before ever!) He screamed that he wanted my lawyers name and number and I thanked him and hung up (I'm sure he didn't hear me because he was to busy screaming at me).

I called the business I owed money to just to make sure we were still ok and they said yes. I told them about the phone call with Dave and they couldn't believe it. They did apologize about it and said they would see what they could do about it.

Even if I did/do owe money, Dave and his friends at the collection agency are never getting a dime from me. I've never been spoken to like that before and I hope never to hear that again. What a horrible person!

a guy by the name of jason has been calling my husbands family looking for my brothers wife from number 913-677-1086. They said she wrote them down as a reference and wanted her to call them back. Once they told my father n law to go next door and give them their number - they dont even live n the same state. how weird? She has not idea what they are talking about as she does not have my husbands families contact info, however they are listed and i wonder if they got their number from that, I have not been contact but I am my info is not public. I have researched the BBB of KS and there has been 1 complaint that was reconciled but that is all the info i can find. Has anyone had a similar issue or what we can do?

I just had the same exact experience with a guy named Steve Austin from Credit Management Services.  He yells and screams and it is impossible to pay the debt.  I am very concerned about this as he also threatened me and told me that he was going to "teach me a lesson".  Were you able to obtain any information about this guy?  Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Received a call from a guy identified as Steve Austin with instructions to call him. No reference as to why or what it was about. Called and repeatedly got voice mail. Requested he call and specify his business, but recalled a few times with no additional messages. Just demand that he be called.

Received call from "Jim" he wanted to talk to my daughter and wanted a number for my son-in-law. We didn't give them any information. After reading previous posts I call the number back and asked for Jim Eck.  They wouldn't transfer call unless I gave my name.  I didn't and they didn't transfer.  The next call I will inform them about the Missouri Do-Not-call law and see if that stops it.

If Jim Eck calls back, tell him that you reported him to the United States Postal Inspection Service for urging you to put non-US Mail material in your neighbor's mailbox.  That ought to stop his calls. ;o)
