Ditto. I'm so sick of them calling I just quit paying. I've already paid them over double what my credit card was. They won't get another cent from me. Eff 'em. I paid my money. They're a criminal orginization.

they also call for Care Credit (financing through your dentist or doctor) and Empire Carpets! In my case they call every phone number I have and all at the same time! So my cell and home phone both ring and they wait and see which one I will pick up...sometimes there is no one there! I am behind on my lowes (missed a $26 payment) and they have called 4 times already today!

When I answer the phone, nothing is there..no sounds, recordings, nothing! They are calling my cell phone every minute or so on some days and have consequently caused an overage on my minutes last month.  I have called the number back and it is dead silence then a click and nothing.  I have made arrangements with GE Money & making less than minimum payments on the small amount I owe Lowe's so if this is from them why are they still calling?

I called the number back.  It's Lowe's Credit Services.

They called my cell and asked for someone.  I asked them to repeat since their accent was so heavy I couldn't understand them.  They repeated and I told them they had the wrong number.  That just happened today so I don't know if they will continue.  I have had the cell number since 1998 so I am hoping it was just a misdial this time and they won't call again.

This person calls me one to two times a day - they do not leave a message. What do they expect when they call during working hours and a person can not leave the people (kids) they are working with to answer an unknown phone call.
One person commented that it is a collection group - impossible for me - I have no debts! I only have one card and it is through my bank and it is paid off monthly.
PLEASE stop calling or at least leave a message so I can respond.

Keep your ears peeled and try to answer it. If you inform them that this is a pay as you go cell phone, the can no longer (legally) call you. It is probably collections trying to call the number you have just received, looking for the previous owner of the number. Legally, debt collectors cannot cost you cell phone charges, whether you owe a bill or not.

If they continue, you may have to file  a complaint or sue in civil court.

Anyone getting calls from this number should refer to the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.
It will help you learn your rights.

Excellent idea - thanks! I finally answered and told them they had the wrong person...told them I had recently got this number and was getting calls from collectors asking for "that person" and please stop. They apoligized and quit calling me....

same here. got behine on payments because of illness. went into payment plan with Lowes. after 6 months of paying payments, my bill had gone to about $1000 to over $3300. late charges, fionance charges. They wanted me to enter another plan and I said no, if I do that my bill will be $5000. I just don't answer the phone when it is an unknown number or doesn't show a name of who is calling.

Called my cell several times but never leave a message

I keep getting phone calls from this number also.  We faithfully made our payments but my husband failed to notice that they changed the date the payment was due.  So for a $2500 debt he was being charged a $60 a month finance charge and a $39 dollar late fee.  Needless to say our bill quickly added over $1000 dollars in charges.  So on a day off I spent a whole day trying to make an arrangements to pay them the original $2500 and get them off my back.  I finally ended up talking to a number of people in India.  The last person told me I couldn't make a deal to pay off the original amount unless I was in default.  My credit is ruined anyway so I let it go in default. According to this person once it was in default 2 months I could call back and they would settle with me for less than the original $2500.  That is my intention and I will see if it works.  I haven't got anything to lose anyway, it's already lost.
