Prank Call
I received a call from some one claiming to be from PCH and told me I won $5 million dollars and to call Mr Baker at 914-210-0372. He ask me how it felt I said great but I thought they cam to your house. He said they do but Mr Baker sets it up.
I was very leery so I looked it up and found out they wanted $1,000 for you to win this. I have been to conventions that tell you if its free you do not pay to get it. I did not call I have $40,000 hospital bills from seizure disorder and strokes so I knew it was a set up. Nice try but no cigar guys

Just got a call from my old buddy John Baker. This was the guy who scammed me in 2011 for taxes towards winning 2.5 million with  Publishers Clearing House. He must be hard up for calling me again. He wants me to send him $5,000 by using the Paypal scratch off cards and calling him back by 3;00 pm at 914-210-0372. I played along and told him I would. I have caller ID so I won't answer from KINGSTON JM (JAMAICA) He is now calling me from Chappaqua NY  with the same number. How does he do it?

Prank Call
Just received the same call from Mr Roy Scott, claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House, saying I 'd just won $2.5M; along with the number to reach Mr Baker, the bank manager with my conformation #.
When i reached 'Mr. Baker' it got better!  I'd also won an additional $50K AND a BMW with a full 12 months insurance.  All I had to do was to go IMMEDIATELY to my bank and transfer $500. to them.  I didn't let it get much further before I politely explained that I wasn't transferring any funds, at which point 'Mr. Baker' hung up!
What scammers!

My experience was essentially the same-call from a cell phone in Jamaica, I was to call Mr. Baker at B of A at the 914 area code number.  The sweet lady hung up when I said this was suspicious as caller ID showed it as a cell phone and I didn't think Publisher's Clearinghouse  would be calling from a cell phone.  A reverse phone look up showed the 914-210-0372 number was from Chappaqua, NY on one site and freom Pound Ridge, NY on another.  The call I got came up as from Kingston, Jamaica.  Like you, I couldn't buy her story and like another poster, found it creepy she had my address.

Prank Call
They're fishing for suckers.  A woman with a polite, convincing voice who called herself Lisa May called me from a cell phone in Jamaica, and after verifying my name and address and also whether I had entered the Pub. Clearing House sweepstakes, said I had won 2.5 Million, gave me a special code number, said I should call a John Baker at 914 210 0372 at B.of A.  He would sign the check after I gave him that code number and they would arrange the check for 2.5M to be delivered to my door!  I said okay and hung up. I then tried to ID the cell phone number; Intellius said it was not in their database!  Then to verify the B.of A. number and got this opportunity to report this scam attempt. I am glad to have my computer and the presence of mind to check out these things. I really found it hard to  believe her, though, because I remember tearing up and throwing away the last package I received from PCH! .

Received a call this AM(2/25/2012) about winning a Publisher's Clearing House lottery because it had been entered into an International Lottery.  Was told that $2.5 million was the prize.  Was then told to call Bank of America and contact John Baker @ 914-210-0372.  At that point because of the individuals poor English skills and the hair standing up on the back of my neck I politely told the caller I felt he was attempting a scam and hung up.  Out of cuorisity I Goggled BOA - John Baker and low and behold all this data appeared.  Just wanted to add another incident to the list.

I just got the same call from someone who did not give his name. I won 2.5 Million dollars and just call John Baker at bank of america, The phone number he gave me was 1-914-210-0372. He said Mr Baker would give me the info on how to collect. When I got off the phone I googled this number and got these posts. I knew it was a scam because PCH does not call their big winners. They come in person. The call originated in Jamaica and was 876-437-7797

Received call this am supposedly from Publishers House. A man by the name of Mr. Scott. I was to call John Baker with a certain claim number and had won $2.5 million also a BMW X 6 car with one full years insurance by Allstate. I was to go to CVS and buy a green dot money pack free cash load card for $1,000.00 and pay CVS $4.95 for the card .  This $1,000.00 would pay Brinks to deliver $250,000.00 to my door and accompany me to bank to deposit it and $1,000,000.00 would be deposited in my account later.  Kept asking me if I wanted to donate to my favorite charity, so I'll call Mr. Baker back and tell him to donate.  I've also called a police friend regarding this.

I received a similar call today. My caller ID says this call originated from a Jim  Kingston, 1-876-865-5609.
When the phone call came in, they did confirm my address - which is creepy. I knew this must be a scam so I checked it out online, rather than call the number I was given for the "Mr. Baker" at the Bank of America.

Received the call stating that I had won 2.5 million and to call Mr. Baker at this number and ask for Mr. Baker.    The call actually came from Kingston, JM at 876-896-4047.
Do they think I am stupid?
No need to report it because noone can do anything about it.  The BBB? They just tell you it is a scam and not to answer the phone when these numbers show up.
What about people who don't have caller ID?

It's a scam, I also received a call from Ms. Jones stating the same, that she was with Publisher's Clearing house, that I needed to call the 1-914-865-5609 mr. John Baker @ Bank of America to get the money and set up delivery. I checked with Bank of America and found that it's a scam. When I confronted this Mr. Baker he segested I proform a oral sex!!! They only asked for $400.00 dollars be sent to same person in Jamaica, West Indies.
