NY FOP has been calling me for months. I do not answer.  The keep on calling me at all hours of the day.  They never leave a message. This morning, they called me at 8:30AM.

I do not want them to call me anymore.

Called my rarely used land-line number at 8:57am on a Monday morning. I didn't pick up, and 'it' left no message.

i heard that it is against the law for any police or fire services to call someone at their home and ask for money.....

i got this phone call 4/26/2012 at 4:19 PM claiming they want donations.  NYPD fund raisers are HELD in the  public like at Gracie mansion or Central Park etc.

quit calling me.

They have called several times. I do not pick up and no message.

Thanks for all the tips.  They just called for the first time, they never know I'm the bi*** that stands there as the call goes to answering machine with my middle finger up.  After reading how they keep on calling, their next call will be answered by the screech of my ever loving fax machine I'm loving it

They called me on 4/18/12 and refused to stop talking. I don't think police departments contact people to raise money.

they have nothing to do with the police. They are trying to scam people. Don't send any money. It is a rip off.

Called from this number, caller ID shows NY FOP.
Person said he is police officer and would like to speak to my girlfriend, said her name. After that, person said , he has to record conversation in reference to Order of Protection, and It must be done for word recognition system, because of violation of Order of Protection.
I am afraid this is not only scam, but worse. Audio recording can be altered to benefit person who has Order of Protection. And  how do they get that information??

914-339-9654 NY FOP is a scam. Block the number and report to your telephone provider and police if they continue to call after requesting removal of your number, even if once. It is the law, and they must stop calling by NY law.

..caller said my name, then asked for me by name, while the outgoing message on my machine was playing.. then hung up upon realizing it was an answering machine message.

Caller asked to speak to Leo.  I said What?   Who is this?  Leo has neen dead for almost two years.

caller said What? I repeated What I had said.  Caller paused a minute>  I thoght he had hung up.  Then he said. I'm sorry and hung up.  Caller ID identified Call NY FOP with number914-339-9654

Fraternal Order of Police

State police and city police do no solicit by phone. I wonder why the proper authorities can't stop this con game.

I have signed up for "do not call" and I keep getting calls from this 914 number.

They called every day  mostly at night. I try to rich them during the day but telephone is out of order They are SOB.It's a scam DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY' I called DA of New York and wrote a letter to NYPD .I asked our Senator to get involved.The numbers are: 914 339 9654 and the other number is :914 339 9710. Called me this morning at 8:45am asking if Brian was here... which I am. I'm pretty sure this is some sort of automated telemarketer programmed to sound like a real person as there are long pauses between responses from the other end if I don't provide an answer. NY FOP shows up on my caller ID. Some people believe it to be the New York State Fraternal Order of Police, however the caller ID should probably say NYS FOP if that were the case. Either way I'm blocking their phone calls from now on.

These people called me multiple times and I actually sent them check for $40.00 in a while past. They are supposable collecting money for the police department. I moved from NY City a while ago and moved upstate and guess what these people found me here! I do not pick up the phone.

Asked me if "Andy was there" and the hung up.  No Andy at my house.

Called 12/07/2011 but didn't leave a message. Caller ID show NY FOP. I am thinkig this is a trap.

They call constantly.   All hours of the day.   No police organization would ever call to solicit money.  Definitely a scam!

they called twice this week...i picked it up 9.35m 11/3 person knew my name.  He  identify himself as calling for the fraternal oder of police and asked me not to hang up. I told him you guys are a scam and hung up.

You CAN report this company if you have told them to stop calling.  Here are the Do Not Call rules:

Sign up for the do not call list, document the dates ou have told them to stop calling and report EVERY call - when it starts costing them money, they'll stop the repeated calling.

This company represents the Fraternal Order of Police. We are on the National DO Not Call List and have repeatedly told this company to take us off their call list, yet the continue to call.  Add your phone number to the DO Not Call list, tell them to stop calling and if they continue to, report them. They are supposed to take you off, even though they are a charity, if you tell them to take you off.  We report them every single time now that they cal since we have documented four dates we have told them to stop.
