Seriously.....whoever is calling from this number has called me at least 30 times within the last 20 minutes.  I refuse to talk to telemarketers and I am on the DO NOT CALL list.  I have hit ignore every time they call and it's within seconds that this number calls back.  It's harassment and I will not talk with them!  If they can't speak English then they should not be calling me!

I received a call this morning from a man with thick Indian accent who identified himself as Gary Jones of the "American Law Division". He demanded that my attorney of record or I return his call the "very second I receive this message". He stated that it is a extremely time sensitive issue and very urgent. He warned that if my attorney or I choose to ignore the call he can only wish me good luck "as the situation unfolds on you". I then learned he contacted my work, and a friend that I have used as a reference in the past, this morning also. When I googled the number I found a company called US Fast Cash. I have never done business with this company. On their website they have an alert posted stating they are not affiliated with this person. This is all so annoying! Any additional insight or advice would be much appreciated!

Hi, I got a call from this number too. What I have concluded was this person/company got my info from a payday loan company I defaulted on. He said I could be facing jail time for fraud, bounced checks and about 3 other things which is complete crap. This is a complete scam. They are using illegal debt collecting practices, so I would think twice about sending this crook any money. I told him to stuff it. What this guy says is so amatuerish and inconsistant, I hope noboday falls for it. Did you happen to get a payday or two week loan recently?

I've been getting calls to work cell, describing exactly the same thign as the people below have commented on.  Thick Indian accent...same %^&*()  im tired of the calls.

I started crank calling the # like 10 times in a row. and they blocked my number.. haha I have not gotten a call since

I just received like 30/40 calls from this fool.  No lie.  all on my cell phone. back 2 back, I click ignore and he kept calling back.  I picked up and said "calling the police" ; he called back.  I answered the line didnt say a word he asked for me by name I said NO STOP CALLING!!!!  This is the 2nd SCAM number that is trying to get me w/ these scam pay day loans.  NOT!!!! I went to verizonwireless and BLOCKED that number and he called my work line...OF Course I did not answer.  and he didn't call back....so far.  its only been a few minutes.  I'm sure he will be calling back later or tomorrow (which is saturday)...or maybe Monday.  There is no need for me to speak to him I know I don't owe any body's pay day loan co.  If I or any of u owed a company they would have called us when we missed a payment....Just like a bank they dont let u slide by a while and u would know it if u missed a payment...just like any bill u have the company calls u.  
Yesterday I had a female call and say they bought my acct from fast bucks.  I looked fastbucks number up online and called and inquired about if they had me in their records...NO!!  the lady @ fastbucks looked up every way she could think of and NO!!  she was like ma'am I'm sorry we dont have u in our records.  I knew that anyway but I'm glad she said it just the same.

This number keeps calling for one of my employees.  It shows up on caller ID starting with 05... The name given was John something with a very thick accent.  All the same things mentioned above.  He said he was with the state law division.  I asked which state and he got very defensive.  He kept on about having a claim against this employee and their social security number.  When I kept asking which state, he hollered, "Listen, lady, you have not answered my questions and you need to give this message to ***!"   At that point, I hung up.  He called back immediately.  He finally answered that he was in NY but could not tell me which government agency he claimed to be with.  He gave me the number 914-373-7097 as his contact number.  I Googled it which brought me here.  Seems like others have the same problem with them...  How do we stop them?  They call here all the time for a couple of employees with the same message and bad attitude every time!

This number keeps calling me the person has a indian accent and they are trting to collect money from me which they claim I owe them. These people are thieves I'm tired of them waking me up when I'm trying to sleep. Something need to be done to stop these people from harrassing people like this and be aware that they call from all different numbers. Thwy call from nubers starting with 05 and so on.

I to recevied a call from 914-373-7097 a Jon Bright, he said that I or my attorney of record must call him or he can not guarantee what may unfold on me. PLEASE do not call them back or give them money if you hear from them. They are scammers get on line at the FBI website and report the scam.

I can't believe that they are really harrassing people in this manner..I get phone calls from them every couple of days....It is starting to get  aggravating for a payday loan I never got if this info helps anyone I did get that the loan is supposed to be from CashNet USA.....Thanks for this post though it lets me know to just keep entertaining myself speaking to them!!!!

Just to clarify- I got the same call everyone else did.

First call was from American Law Division. Call today was Dept of Law & Investigation.

Got the same call today. (Identical to previous call to our house) Even had my name wrong.

First time, I answered the phone and the guy got irate with me and was really outrageous. Today, it was a voicemail, same deal, said I needed to get an attorney as I was being sued.

Can you give us the contact infor for FTC? My local police dept said they couldn't do anything and referred me to the FTC. Thank you.

I've gotten two calls identical to those everyone has posted- but they got my first name totally wrong. and I'm sick of it.

Basically, I was accused of taking out a payday loan and the circumstances surrounding the matter coincide with everyone else's post. I'm thankful I found feedback from others regarding this. I called them back after reviewing the posts coupled with my knowledge of law secondary to pursuing a Legal Nurse Consultant certificate. Well, I contacted my local Attorney General, a private lawyer for consult, and am going to my local police department. I relayed my awareness of their illegal actvities and notified them that the Attorney General will be investigating this matter promptly. The gentleman who could barely speak English told me, "F*** the Atttorney General!" He then hung up in my face. Shall we say there is something questionable going on here?

They called me about American Law Division. I called them back. I just yell and bad word to them. They started anger and called me back many. I turn off a phone. They is very big SCAM.

He had my information bank acct and ss# and i was being sued in Dade County FL, I got nasty with him, I have filed a compliant with the FTC and Local Police Dept

wow...steve jones and troy scott are sending the sherrif to my house.. but hey i'll be at work.... so they will send them to my job for a loan that i never took with us cah advance and he said that number is 786-728-8055 yeah.. i dont think so...i'd like to thank everyone that posts on this site..so that we all stilck together and these a**-holes may limit the calls they make.. i read this guys script to him word for word, and he almost seemed impressed that i know it.. i told him they are too predictable and they are barking up the wrong tree.. and they are full of sh-t...
they gave me a local number to where i live this time.. and i asked for the address..told him i'd "run" right over with the money, he told me he couldn't give it to me..i told him thats cause hes full of crap.... thanks for the morning laugh.. i also told him to sent the sherrif today..  but he said he couldn't.... oy

My sittuation is above.. after I got out of work i turned the table and I started calling them not stop then they blocked my number,, and I have not received a call since.. but its only the 2nd day so maybe you should do the same. Let them know you know its a SCAM and loose your #.

I got calls from 914-373-7097 and 858-346-1228. Thick India accent like everyone else. When I questioned him where the law office was, he said somewhere in California (I could not recognize the city he said because of his bad accented English. When I asked more questions like what was his full name, address of the law office he got angry. I called him out on his scam and he then told me to f---off and hung up. It is a big time scam. They must have stolen the information somewhere when I applied for credit. These a@@holes have been harassing me at work and home. My boss knows it is a scam. Tell them to go ahead and file a lawsuit. Owing money is not a crime but a civil matter, so how can they threaten to get you thrown in jail. They are full of crap, just call them out on it and tell them you are calling the police. These punks know the cops can't do anything because they are from out of the country.

I have been receiving calls from this number from a gentleman with a thick indian or aisan accent I can't really understand him very well.  He says that he is with American Law Divison and that there is a lawsuit filed against me from an unpaid payday loan and criminal charges against me.....calling me at home and at work.

I also got a call this morning from a man with a thick indian accent saying that a lawsuit had been filed against me, and he also called me twice from two different numbers but he also added that he was an officer call to report a lawsuit filed against me.
